  Beltmann of Dallas was not prepared for our move and lacked adequate communication regarding promised check-ins and updates. The crew arrived as scheduled but was very slow in packing the truck. A few hours into the move we were told that 2 of the 4 crew members planned to leave at 4pm. They actually left at 3pm. Our shipping coordinator never called to check in with us and we had to call her to complain about the pace of the move and the crew members that were leaving. Had we not complained the truck load would not have been completed on time. They did end up sending additional crew members and the job was finally completed at 930pm. Additionally, we had to follow up several times on the location/status of our van and the anticipated delivery and unload date in Los Angeles. Given all the problems we had and our dissatisfaction with the move, we received zero follow up. After a $25,000 move I’d expect the General Manager or owner to reach out with an apology at the very least or some compensation. I would not recommend using Beltmann. Not a company that gives one confidence nor focuses on customer satisfaction.

  For the most part, everything went well. However, in NY the driver had 5 guys taking out our things from storage and put on truck for delivery. On delivery to Florida, only driver and 2 men to move furniture. I was asked to check boxes off. The driver should have had someone check boxes to inventory this way I could of spent more time directing placement. And my husband was trying to take apart the treadmill so it could fit through the bedroom door. The young men who did most of the lifting were excellent!

  Very professional from estimate, packing, loading & delivery. Everyone involved was so friendly & efficient! They explained what to expect so we could be prepared prior to arrival. They made the very unpleasant chore of moving into a much easier transition.

  From start to finish everyone involved was great. Ray, Kim handled the quote and schedule. Kim stayed in touch every step made me feel very comfortable especially since my last long distance move with another company was a horror show. Our driver, Scott was super friendly and also kept us informed on where he was and when he would be to us. He was always there on time. The crews Scott had at pickup and drop off were the best I have seen. Very professional and willing to anything we asked. I cannot say enough as to how perfect this move was. I would recommend North American moving to anyone !!

  Very satisfied. Rich Shultz was very thorough explaining all the details for the move with the video based quoting of our belongings. On the day of the move the workers were cordial and careful. There was constant checking with me on any valuables that might look damaged before they loaded. On the day of moving in we saw the same care and attention. Be aware that you will have a sheet of paper and will be checking off the numbers of items your were shown correspond with your belongings. No stone left unturned. Highly recommended.

  Over 9000 pounds of household goods, of mostly glass and not one single item lost or damaged. I am still blown away how seamless and easy the transaction went from scheduling, packing, to pickup and delivery. My all star team was Daniel, Tami, Mary,KD, Roy and Ricky and his team. Super thank you!

  All of the people I worked with for this move were helpful and friendly. But I was over-promised and under-delivered. I was told my belongings would arrive in the van that it was loaded in and that did not happen, meaning my belongings were moved around twice before being delivered. I have not unpacked too many things, but have already found a few broken items. I was extremely disappointed that the packer just stuck my $2,000 sewing machine in a box without any paper or any type of cushioning around it. He did not ask me if it needed any extra TLC. It was also stuck in a box with my printer which was placed on its side causing all of the inkjets to drain out and make a terrible mess. At least *it* had paper around it. A special chair was broken when the mover left it on the tailgate while moving the van out of my neighbor’s way. It is irreplaceable. This might be just a commodity to these guys, but these are my belongings. Some are of high dollar value and a lot of it is of personal and sentimental value. These people need to remember that.

  Poor! The problems were on the receiving end in Louisville. The driver who told me he was the owner and did not work for the moving company and was his own boss. He was arrogant, condescending. He refused to put together the things that we paid to have taken apart in Washington, for example a double recliner. He said we paid to have them taken apart but not put together again at this end. We had antiques broken and he blamed the loaders. We were told they would be crated but they were not. We are very unhappy.

  For anyone in the New Hampshire area who is interested in moving down to the Washington D.C. area, I highly recommend this service. They were very friendly and professional when it came time to move my items and coordinate a date and time. All of my items arrived undamaged and the teams moving all of the items did so safely and quickly. I'd use this service again if given the opportunity.

  The price was a joke! The coordinator Liz at Great Plains is worthless, and I am still trying to figure out what she actually does since she does not know when loads will be delivered according to her. No one ever called me before the day of delivery to let me know when delivery would be. Liz said someone from corporate scheduled it and she had no clue. So what does she coordinate?? The load crew for Great Plains were nice men but they did not wrap my white leather couch when they hand loaded it and it has grease marks all over it. The delivery team at First Class in Tampa were AMAZING. they even commented they could not believe the couch was not wrapped so they did it when they received my load. If Great Plains will continue to work for North American they need to train their employees better. They could learn a lot from First Class in Florida. Even my coordinator for First Class is amazing. She calls and checks in and is pleasant to deal with.

  I lost several things in the move but may not be lost by you. At the end the boxes and furniture were unloaded adequately but the two men departed before the setup was done. I was left with heavy things that need to be moved. Too heavy for me (73 years old). The exit was initiated by the man who was emptying the truck. I was told they would help me. A screen was put together backwards making it unusable. Generally the indoor mover was helpful. I have not been able to get help to finish the move. Very disatisfying.

  This is the only company that wanted to see what we were moving! No one else cared to see (to quote us) so I knew to go with NA. We had Alfonso as our driver. He was on it! We are super happy with our service!!! Moved from CA to MO. Happy customers!

  The first day only one mover showed up to pack an entire house, despite being three hours late and only packing for a total of four hours. The second day, a larger crew arrived but with two street trucks to move over 18,000 lbs. This caused a 3 hour delay as the driver had to get a new truck (60min drive); change out and then drive back (2 hours). Many of our things were broken and the overall experience was not what I was used to. Maybe it was an off day but I would not recommend.

  Items are broken, packages are a mix of whatever will fit, we had dirty floor rugs in same box with our eating dishes..no rhyme or reason to any box. I had counters full of partial items because they were taken apart but not put together in same box. Multiple pieces of broken furniture, as well as collectible Indian pottery. Currently, half our goods have not been received as of this writing. While the driver was concerned, we never heard from the company regarding our missing items or any type of follow up

  We are moving from SoCal to Missouri. I got quotes from a bunch of moving companies… NA was the ONLY company who wanted to do a virtual walkthrough so they could see everything I was moving. I was quoted very low prices from some. I knew it wasn’t realistic. When we were all done, NA was right on point with our walkthrough. No surprises. We had Alfonso as a driver. I completely trusted him after meeting him. ALL MY STUFF ARRIVED PERFECT! I will use them again when my parents move! Trustworthy!!!!! Amazing service! Friendly!

  Thousands of dollars of furniture missing,heirloom rocker missing,dining room chairs missing,hand made shell lamps missing,it took us yrs to collect shells for these lamps,my sewing machine, iron,missing,Tupperware missing,. Its criminal and I may consider filing a police report because to iron, is upward of 10 k and they charge me 15k for the move.

  Never again! Worst experience. They came early when we weren’t done packing and just started packing everything and we had only requested 6 for them. We ended up getting charged for 18. One lamp required 2 boxes and labeled as 3. They took things apart that didn’t need to and then packed the parts somewhere else. Broke air compressor, broke top off of antique chair. Then when they brought stuff in new house they tracked in all the outside elements (grass, dirt , etc)

  Annie, the owner of Locatelli Moving and Craig the moving truck driver we’re about as good at customer service as anyone could hope for. Annie, brought a compassionate perspective to helping me plan my move and actually treated me like a person, not a meal ticket. Craig, my driver was polite, flexible, hardworking and careful. Without a doubt I give Locatelli Moving and North American Van Lines my highest recommendation!

  Awful experience. Careless handling of boxes, banging into walls. Several boxes arrived at my new home crushed. A few items broken. Mark did not return phone calls after I signed my contract, didn't seem to care once I signed up. Lisa did not seem to want to work with me when I tried to adjust my delivery time, told me no and I would encur surcharges. The movers in AZ had me run errands for them, broke a light fixture while moving me in. Hit part of the building because they drove a truck in that was too big, didn't tell anyone, so in essence this was a hit and run. Hard to believe this company stays in business

  Delivery service was poor; late delivery; delivery was on a Friday at 730pm; delivery movers complained the entire time; didn’t deliver all my belongings the first time; I had to assist in bringing things up; boxes look like they went through World War III; only one simple flight of stairs and they were barely physically able to do it; didn’t reassemble my furniture.

  Mostly good with a few disappointments. I was given a delivery date of 5/16 and set everything up accordingly but when I didn’t hear from the driver I called him and he said he never told anyone 5/16 and he gives a two day notice. I didn’t know he was an Allied driver not North American. Also he said they don’t put anything back together that they didn’t take apart so I had to beg them to reassemble our desk and they did put beds together. There were two items badly damaged but not much else which isn’t too bad considering how many times the shipment was handled.

  The packers were inconsistent. Some items that had a low risk of breaking were wrapped in Many sheets of paper while something more fragile may have only 1 or 2 sheets of paper. Overall a good move and an especially good driver. He was fantastic in so many ways.

  Our driver - Andy worked very hard & was very professional. Also Torrie the packer was excellent & the two loaders. Tina was very thorough & kind. She taught me a lot about moving. Andy’s workers didn’t show up for the unload & he worked very hard to get our job done!

  My estimator,Jenifer,Justin delivery team. Something bad happened in Tampa storage facility,water damage,many furniture items lost,large items water damaged, 4 chairs,1 50 in flat TV,entertainment center,night stands ,2desk,file cabinet,leather ottoman,damage to office furniture was all waterdamage . It was stored from Aug till May. Very expensive and costly. Most items can't be replace my greatgrandmothers rocker from 1800,missing. Handwrting on inventory sheet illegible can't even tell what room was referenced.That was inital team in Tampa.

  I was very pleased with the entire moving process from the initial phone call to delivery. Everyone was very professional and very helpful. We did a coast to coast move. The packers did an outstanding job of being very careful with every item, diligently wrapping and handling with care. Our driver. TODD, also dis an outstanding job of keeping in communication with us. I would highly recommend this company.

  The sales person was very through. Pricing was good and we were dealing w/ the mover, not a broker. The load team, consisting of 5 people was very good. When the move was delivered only the driver and one other person was there, not enough. Our contact person, Sally, was excellent.

  They had an in home estimate done and I was so happy to have had that done! Cost was reasonable and there were some minor issues with loading and unloading but I was overall impressed

  Horrible unpacking, paid $1000 for unpacking but they just threw everything on floor and seemed in a big hurry to leave. Have shoes with teapots with sweaters and spoons together in piles everywhere! Have taken lots of pictures.   My initial quote was accurate, but I was given another quote with additional weight. The actual weight was so far under the second quote. I wound up paying over $1,000 more because the refund for the extra weight was not explained well. I believe the sales person exploited the situation for profit
