  Recently bought the Nikon Coolpix P1000 after reading countless reviews, and I have not been disappointed! The overall birding performance was very good, and the number of shots I was able to get at high zoom was exceptional. The range that the camera provides you gets you to the bird in a broad range of circumstances. Murphy's Outlet only took 2 days to send the package from New York to northern Canada, whereas the Canadian postal service needs a week from southern to northern Canada. Will definitively continue buying from Murphy's Outlet!

  Thank you for the informative and nuanced advice. Store was pretty empty and the staff had time for a detailed consultation with me. The digital age doesn't excuse to take some time to do your homework buy. Here you not only get a friendly shopping experience, the price was very good. I was looking for a bridge camera for the holidays and they had an alluring offer where in a memory card and extra battery are included. A small matching bag for the belt was also throw in. The whole package with a small filter free of charge, plus chat you do not get in the online shops, because you have to read hundreds of pages of terms and conditions and hope that at some point the package arrives at home. In the shop you can try out the cameras and estimate the value or handling yourself. I love real shopping.

  My 2nd purchase in the Murphy's Outlet store. Everyone knows how popular Canon camcorders are now. Therefore, there is always a market shortage for them, and even more so for one of the newest models. I ordered Canon XF405-E at Murphy's Outlet in early Feb. Manager Andrew honestly advised and kept me abreast on shipping a Magnus VT-4000 Tripod. But the wait did not stretch out, and my tripod is already with me and will be in work in the near future! Thanks murphy's-outlet! I'll be with you soon for accessories.

  I was recommended this Cinestill pack for Cross Processing on slide films, I take an E6 film and cross process it with this C41 kit. They should be fine, powder is much more resilient than liquid. It's fun to cross-process, a clever way to push your horizons with imaginative streaks. Super shop, competent advice. Good service for chemistry etc.

  This 3' Vello Off-Camera TTL Flash Cord does a good job remotely firing up Pentax flashes with P-TTL capabilities but could be better. If only they would had made the middle click to the bottom so it would stay on the camera without clinging on.

  Nice shop and very high ethics service. I have been looking for a quality lavalier microphone for a long time, and I was right in choosing one in this store. The manager helped me in choosing a Countryman B6, since I could not decide for a long time, pointed out the disadvantages and advantages of all the offered goods.   I've be contemplating the purchase of a Sony DSC-RX100 VII since it's launch. I found the information on Murphy's Outlet website to be extremely helpful... Andrew answered all of my questions. More importantly Murphy's Outlet had alerts to coming stock and could foresee availability. And the real value is that Murphy's Outlet could ship this hard to find camera when no one else could. I have made a number of purchases from Murphy's Outlet and they have always been there for support ... and by phone if necessary. I would only trust make the purchase of a brand new line of camera from someone like Andrew at Murphy's Outlet.

  Thanks to the sales reps of this store, they diverted our attention from expensive products and offered just an excellent price-performance ratio. There was a pleasant impression of the fact that they are trying to sell exactly the product we need, and not, sorry for the expression, “induce” purchase of what is more expensive. The Canon EOS-1D X Mark II , 200-400mm lens and 90D, Shoe Mount & 1/4"-20 Adapter were very pleased with the goods purchased. Thanks to the store and its Sales rep (sorry, I forgot their names) for high-quality goods and excellent service.

  Purchased a dp3 camera in addition to its predecessors, the dp0 and dp2. Sigma has never disappointed me, though the dp3 has more features than I could ever use. But then again, so does the dp0. Great camera and easy to carry due to its size. Also, a shout-out to Murphy's Outlets. Ordered one day, and it was in my hands the next. Incredible service!

  Great shop and staff! The seller patiently guided me through the superb collection they have at the shop until I settled on a Sony ECM-VG1 shotgun. He also tested the mic before I made the payment.   This Sky-Watcher 8'' Dobsonian telescope certainly met if not exceeded my expectations. The telescope assembly was quick and easy. I was viewing the moon within 1/2 hour. I just ordered the 1.5 lens and filter accessory kit because it has everything this gentleman suggested included. Thank you Murphy's Outlets.

  Cool interior full of digital & used cameras. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. They can guide you professionally to make a prudent buying decision. Vast selection of drones, lenses, spotting scopes & riflescopes. It's a hole in the wall that carves out a crawlway of quality optics & glass. It's a dog-friendly place, which is also a plus.   My favorite electronics/pro video shop in New York. Their Telecentric/industrial video lenses selections is top notch and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Great selection of Opto Engineering glass and Misc. accessories too in the nearby sister shop. Prices are usually as good as if you were to buy online.

  I have inherited a Hasselblad 201F Carl Zeiss with a nasty dirty viewfinder due to improper cleaning. The staff was really friendly and the service was top notch, they basically saved my camera for the regular sensor cleaning fee. I will certainly be coming back and also recommending them!

  I purchased Really Right Stuff B2-LR II to integrate into my tripod so could snugly improvement to a new head. This clamp is sturdy and works well with my Wimberley gimbal supporting a 70-200mm f4 lens or with my Oben ball head. Its very reliable and I trust it to hold my most expensive glass. My favorite store for quick-release plates!!

  Been shopping here since childhood ages. The info and advice is top notch and the gear you buy is always realistically priced and covered by inviolable guarantees, the second hand selection is excellent. Look I would give Murphy's Outlets 10 stars because they are one of the best camera shops in heartland New York. (If not the United States)

  Great condition used large format cameras are on sale, and the owners of the shop were very kind. They kindly explain and guide me through products that I was interested in. The shop was minimal and great sense of interior of store itself. And they develop films too!!!! The owners are photographers and they take really great pictures. VERY RECOMMENDED TO VISIT!!!

  I do a lot of ocean photography along with birding that is usually around water. This Hoya 62mm NXT Circular Polarizer Filter was exactly what I was looking for to obliterate the reflections.   It is refreshing to find a shop of this species where all staff have a really hands-on knowledge of the products they are pushing. I enjoyed the fact that I was left alone to try their cameras and had an in-depth discussion with the sales rep I dealt with over the different products I was looking at. They were happy to accept my old camera as a trade in and we had a good discussion on condition and agreed a trade-in price.

  I've been to Murphy's Outlets a few times now and each time I receive superb service. The salespeople are very helpful, knowledgeable, and sales realistic. I have bought enlarging paper there as well as a Rodenstock lens and a brand new camera, and I've been happy with all my purchases. So far so good. Great little camera that does everything it is advertised to do. Need to spend more time with it before I can give a full review. Initial impressions are good.

  Amazing service! Andrew, is the person who helped my husband. He's so knowledgeable about cityscape and landscape photography. He explained everything so clearly and provided tips and tricks for beginners such as myself and my husband. He honestly went above and beyond!! He gave us a tour of the downstairs part of the store. He tried to stay within our budget and because of that we were able to purchase an additional lens!! Just the best!! :) :)

  Purchased the Lensbaby Velvet 85mm f/1.8 at Murphy's Outlets. It was impressive straight out of the box I was able to get some nice pictures of some of my flowers for a blog. This is the type of lens that encourages you to think creatively while planning your shots and I look forward to using it extensively in the future.

  The new Sony ZV-1 with home streaming kit (white) has everything a Vlogger could wish for! As a Youtuber, this camera makes production a breeze. Just love it. I bought this camera to use for Vlogging and YouTube, and it has quickly become an everyday use camera, it shoots phenomenal pictures, and video at a much cleaner quality.   Murphy's Outlets did a great job. The MacBook Ari M1 came on time and without any damage. I would order from Murphy's Outlets again without delay. The laptop is amazing. We've been ordering Macs from Murphy's for 6 years. This is our 2nd Mac from them. They are built to last and, in our experience, have been worth the premium. After all, we were excited to see how the M1 runs. So far, it has been fast! Very satisfied all around.

  Was initially elated to receive the DJI Ronin-S. But the unit was not tucked together properly. The lock system that supports the battery handle to the gimbal was not be installed snugly and won't let you lock the two parts together accurately. After hours of unscrewing, I ended up jammed together. If you order gimbal here, ask for a confirmation that you won't be one of the lucky chumps that has to send it right back.

  The main reason to buy this Digital Juice diffusion gel kit is the bag, it's worth the price alone to accommodate gels. For me, it is nice they're each marked with a sticker showing the diffusion intensity and style. Again, I could do this on my own with cheaper gels, but the folio bag makes it well worth the cost. Highly recommended for diffusion materials, gel & diffusers.

  This location has knowledgeable staff and lots of inventory to choose from. If they don't have what you need in store, there's either a similar product, the ability to order it in from another location, or you don't actually need what you're looking for in the first place. It's also really nice to know you can test out cameras and lenses before buying. I've shopped here many times and will certainly be back again in the future!

  Prices can range from great to overpriced (depends on market and what gear). The staff is always friendly and extremely technically well-versed. They've always got a great selection of pro gear and used equipment. The in-store warranty makes it really worth it in my opinion.

  My Olympus OM-D E-M1X has just arrived - many thanks Tom! The team at Murphy's Outlets (Andrew especially) are fantastic.   This Canon Cinema Prime CN-E 50mm T1.3 comes with slightly higher quality glass and robust build, it's a workhorse for a video/film shoot. The T1.3 covers my full-sensor C500 Mark II, it fuses perfectly to complete the ensemble. fast aperture it can produce impressive bokeh and beautiful circular highlights

  its the first time I have brought a solar scope, Coronado 40mm f/10 1.0Å, It was fantastic from the time it left the NY to the time it arrived in New England it took 2 days and you could see were it was it was at any given time with the tracking that Murphy's Outllets gave it was bought for our school's Astronomy Club for school visits and after it was unwrapped it was used to its fully extent thank you Murphy's Outlets I will fully recommend your store to every one .   Exceptional service from Andrew; helping me find a Micro Four Third, mirrorless Olympus E-M10 III. I’ve popped in to Murphy's Outlets a few times when I’ve been to Wall Street and have always been met with friendly, helpful staff who are keen to answer any questions without applying sales pressure. On my most recent visit I was keen to find the perfect camera. I was able to try a variety of lenses and time was taken to explain the technology in simple terms and what would best suit my needs. The camera that was best fit wasn’t in stock, but I was able to use a black body to get the feel. Andrew then worked tirelessly to ensure I got my order (silver body, Olympus E-M10 III) despite logistical challenges of a pandemic and Presidential Elections. I couldn’t speak more highly of the service I’ve received. I won’t hesitate to shop with them again and recommend them to anyone who’ll listen.

  The outlet is legendary and the building has a picturesque character, stuff everywhere you look. The staff didn't pounce on me as soon as I went through the door, I was welcomed and left to look around. After some browsing and a good chat about ‘waterproof camera’ I left with a TG-5 at a great price. I would not hesitate to recommend the place.

  I got my vintage Canosound 514 XL-S some weeks ago and I just can say thank you. Absolutely thrilled with this beautiful film camera! I couldn't be happier with the service.   The outlet offers an option to take a new lens rental 2 weeks of trial at fair payment, and this was a really comforting factor for us. All in all, the store exuberates honesty, sincerity, enthusiasm, and warmth, not to speak of a wide range of medium-format lenses, mirrorless lenses, rangefinder lenses and accessories they offer. In my view, Murphy's Outlets is perhaps the best go-to store in NYC for everything lenses- they offer good value for money and serve you with a smile. An Excellent Store I Strongly Recommend...

  I would definitely recommend Murphy's Outlets for laptops to friends. I'm in college, this LENOVO 17.3'' Gaming laptop, ideal for editing and playing games in my free time. One thing I noticed though is putting my laptop in performance mode would bake it up quickly, around 35 degrees. Putting it in quiet mode while playing games is where I leave it at most of the time. For it's worth I am more than satisfied with its performance.

  The Canon EOS 6D Mark II DSLR camera proved to be a great upgrade to my 20D which was my first ever digital version after I outgrew film. The touch screen is precise and responsive. I did researched for months, and I am extremely happy with my Canon 6 D mark ii. Murphy's Outlets were quick and it arrived safely wrapped with other case to protect manufacturers pristine nature.

  Excellent Monopod Head at a Great Price. A vast selection of Monopods, heads, selfie sticks/camera poles, extension shooting poles and a heap of accessories. I bought this Sirui L10 monopod head to pair it with a P-324 for birding. This monopod head is very solid and I don't anticipate that it will tip as long as I firmly tighten the knob. This head is beautifully crafted, lightweight, silky smooth in operation, and locks down tightly.

  I've used this Sony HDR-PJ760 camcorder for months and the ECM-AW4 receiver. They are not high-end type mics, but surprisingly good and in fact, we use them for college work that need to get quality video material but are not experts (yes, there are plenty of younger people that are far from tech-savy) because so easy to use. It comes with a special resistive cable to match impedance with most devices. I use the mic with a zoom h4 recorder and it works fine.

  As an amateur photographer, I was thrilled to use this D3500 from Murphy's Outlets, top-class compact and lightweight entry-level camera. I've shot thousands of images during the holidays and after experimenting with it, it makes this camera a really good option for someone looking to improve their image quality or someone wanting to get into the world of photography.   I practice commercial photography so this Canon EOS 5DS R's outstanding resolution and awesome quality imagery. She's a beautiful beast! Resolution King!! I buy all my photo & camera gear at Murphy's Outlets, it's a local, NYC, independent store with helpful, patience and industrious staff. Replies to my emails at night and even gives free HOYA filters with every camera purchase. Overall, I am very impressed and glad I made this decision over the Mark IV. Trustworthy experts.   I own a7RII, bought a Samyang 14mm Ultra Wide-Angle f/2.8 IF ED UMC lens at Murphy's for astrophotography, I've spent hours in the dead of night shooting the Alpha Centauri ecosystem. The lens was tack sharp. I compared it to a Sigma Art 14mm being used by one of the other workshop participants--the Samyang was actually sharper at f2.8. I've invoked it's focal lengths for landscape/sunset shots. The shop is very impressive and has everything! Andrew was very helpful. Truly your one stop photo shop for electronics!

  I have never received the impression of service I got during a transaction at Murphy's Outlets. Congenial, competent staff and deals that could not be surpassed by any competitor. The packing and shipping were flawless. They did what they said, when they said they would do it. No excuses. The product speaks for itself. A 18-55mm lens and software kit in the bundle! This camera was $1.3k not so long ago. Every serious photog has one of Canon D models and it is likely a favorite go to. Professionals are still using the D610 for stills and this camera is even better. Thank you Murphy's Outlets, you're legends!

  I wanted a warming filter with an anti-reflective coating, they suggested this Hoya 77mm, the filter is great. Works well for autumn scenes but may sometimes be too intense for sunsets. No anti-reflection layer on these, I had to go back into the market for View Thru anti-reflection coating, they help eliminate ghost images and enrich contrast.
