  This store was recommended by a friend and I have to say it was great advice. The service from Luke was excellent in terms of product knowledge and understanding of my level of ability. It was also helpful , personable and very courteous. I part exchanged some equipment and thought this was handled very fairly. I came away thinking that I would only deal with these guys in future. Cost was competitive also as well as a very well stocked bright and modern store. The whole experience is deserving of a 5 star review.

  KOWA Eyepiece Extender. Just bought a Kowa TSN-EX16 1.6x , the price was competitive they advised on availability and delivered within the estimated timescale with a user friendly courier company.   Canon WL-D89 Wireless Controller Ordered a Canon WL-D89 Wireless Controller which arrived without a fastener cable strap- this seems to be a packaging issue with this product. Called murphy's outlet at noon to resolve, and by 10 the next morning the missing strap had arrived. Great service - many thanks!

  A very good shop except for the service which is not as good as we thought. The shop is very well funded and offers quality products but abuses a bit on it's margins as it sell products at a very high price compared to other off-Manhattan stores (in fact it's the only one on Madison Avenue maybe that explains the prices...).Can do better even if it has reached a quite good standard.

  Great service, 100% recommended I recently purchased a Celestron Astro Fi 102mm f/13 from Murphy's Outlet and found the staff to be very helpful, I had not checked stock levels and had ordered an item that was out of stock. I had a prompt message explaining that there was a bit of a wait on stock, I was offered a few options on how I could proceed and chose to get a slightly better telescope with a field flattener/reducer. All items turned up the next day, no issues at all, all items in perfect condition. The staff are very helpful and are always happy to offer advice and I look forward to my next purchase from Murphy's Outlet as I know I will get a top notch service. I just wish I could order clear sky from Murphy's

  Was the first Macro Photography shop i ever visited and brought from , service is average at best or very good depending on who serves you prices are high and staff can be ignorant at times But they do stock hard to source items , albeit at high prices They also own another shop in NJ. Not the best site , but a good introduction to Macro if you are a beginner

  Works Great and is Comfortable to use This Canon EOS 5D Mark IV works great. The custom buttons are easy to change and use, the image quality is great and it is really intuitive. It's comfortable to hold and even with big hands I find it fits in my grip well. The only real issue is the battery life but it comes with a second battery which helps with this.

  Amazing experience. The staff were so friendly and funny. Not sure what the sour reviews about their service were about, because that was my best experience at a camera store, ever. Bang for the buck (20 dollars per roll for a good deal of film) and 5 dollars extra for more. First time trying DSLR from a compact/travel camera and we really appreciated all th bells and whistles that accompany the package. Definitely coming back here frequently.

  I travel a long way to purchase my spotting scopes and accessories from this shop, I have always found the proprietor most helpful and have had several very good deals that I have been most satisfied with. The proprietor is a keen birder and you will not go too far wrong with him. I get the feeling that he is in it for the long haul and not out for a quick buck. Save yourself some time & money look around here first.

  No necessarily my nearest camera shop but the one I choose to use. The owner, Andrew, is very knowledgeable and happy to advise (sometimes with more honesty than people may like), but the level of dexterity and knowledge combined with a large inventory keeps me coming back. Just don't ask for a discount!

  I am so happy with my new Fuji X-S10. This is a great little camera that performs well and will work fantastic for what I want to do with it.   Their site freezes in the middle of payment Ordered a spotting scope which was a good price, but on checkout, the website froze after I had filled in the credit card no. Tried to contact the company using online query to see whether the transaction had completed, but still no response after 2 days.   For me the best photo dealer in New York. Top-class advice, service and quality. You can tell that it is a family-run company and that all employees are very well trained and can always help. A little tip: there are in-house exhibitions several times a year, workshops are offered and you can have your camera cleaned for a small donation!

  Good quality & prompt delivery I’ve bought a couple of things from Murphy's Outlet now and both times goods have turned up in a couple of days. This time I bought a Benro LBA2 Leveling Base to pair with a tripod on a Wimberly gimbal head. It was easy to fix and I now have a rock solid landscape photography work.

  Great business to deal with Bought a Canon 5DS R from these lovely people as they were advertising a good price and I was passing through the area. Obviously they cater more for professionals than beginners but they have a good range of DSLR cameras nevertheless. There was no pressure, I was just struck by how nice they were to deal with and wholeheartedly recommend them.

  Absolutely excellent. I'm an occasional repeat customer. My last order I messed up through not thinking through properly what I really needed and accordingly I said I didn't want any postage reimbursed on the returns. He (knowingly) refunded anyway. Don't try this to often or he'll go out of business!

  Absolutely amazing! I ordered some rolls of film late Wednesday afternoon and they were delivered by Friday morning, also very competitive prices! The cheapest I saw the film online for, very impressed and will definitely be ordering from Murphy's Outlet again!

  It's like taking pictures with my own eyes. Recently upgraded from a Canon Rebel T6. Love the full frame provided by the 6D Mark II and the vast improvement in autofocus sensors. Looking forward to visiting their shop when things are open again. Shipping was also fast and competitive pricing.

  As a Graduate Photographer and having specialized in Analog Photography the Sigma sd Quattro H mirrorless compact camera caught my eye. It has a spatial resolution of 25.5MP but uses a sensor technology very different from other cameras, capturing around 38M pieces of information. In addition Murphy's Outlet were offering the best discount available at the time of my purchase. The Camera arrived next day, suitably well to protect it in transit. The camera has exceeded all my expectations it is compact, versatile and produces some of the best images I have ever taken. The a high image quality camera that incorporates a mirrorless structure with APS-C size is awe. In conclusion I would 100% recommend this camera to anyone who is interested in enhancing their Photography. The murphysoutlet.com website was easy to use and the transaction completed without any issues.

Bought the Fujifilm GFX 50R at a discounted price, the camera was ordered on Saturday and came today Tuesday and was very well packaged and tracked all the way.   Fujifilm x100v Bought for the best current price from Murphy's Outlet. Did not arrive next day, but did arrive the day after which in these Covid times is pretty good. Camera good & well packaged. Registering Fuji guarantee gone ok. So all is good.

  Is sad to read all the negative comments. My experience was completely satisfactory. The customer service was great and the camera was delivered on time. It was a new one, non refurbish. The price was great, very affordable. I bought a Nikon Z6 with a Nikkor 24-70mm lens. The person in charge contacted me more than once, to check everything was fine and I was able to track the shipment. I highly recommend buying from this company.

  Used Leica X2 (Fedrigoni Edition) Did not contact Murphy's Outlet before ordering. The company was recommended to me by a friend. My order came in the time stated and I was able to track it all the way. There are no scuffs or scrapes to the paintwork on the body. The rear LCD screen has some light marks. Thank you.
