  I've been using Murphy's Outlet since their very first shop in New York over 30 years ago. I love them as they're knowlegable, honest and helpful staff, who are always happy to talk you up to spending more, and I've never regretted it! Superb quality kit at excellent prices, and they'll do a deal!

  You can't falt them. What I like about Murphy's Outlet is the staff know more about the products than I do, which is how it should be. If you go to a high street store, the staff will read you what is on the label but this company will advise you on what is best for you . You are so much more than a sale to them. This is a rare commodity these days but I am glad there are still businesses that prove there worth. I thank them for 1st class advice.

  It was great to be dealt with as a customer should be and to experience good old customer service as it used to be. The sales people are very experienced. They give you as much time as you need in order for you make the right choice and ultimately leave the shop a happy satisfied customer. There is no need to even think about doing your own price checks and wasting time researching online, as prices are very competitive here once they match.

  Went in with a problem about a film camera I’d bought elsewhere, and within 1 minute the man had explained the issue, showed me how to fix it and got it all ready for me to shoot. Lovely service!

  Ordered a used lens there and the staff member told me they'd dropped the price online and subsequently reduced price to match their website for me, included a lens case for free and found me a suitable second hand filter at a very reasonable price to get me by. Very friendly service and went out of his way to help! I'd definitely go back.

  Superb service. Everyone was really helpful on the phone. I had done my homework before buying the Canon 600D, I just called up and then within 10 minutes it had been booked for shipping and all details explained clearly on delivery. I got it within 24 hours. Super quick turnaround on the transaction, for which I am super grateful. Highly recommended!

  Murphy's Outlet Cameras store caters for all photography enthusiasts, from beginner to professionals. They provide plenty of parking on-site, the shop is under two miles from a station and is also well served by several highway routes. The beautiful retail showroom inside was custom-built in 2008 to accommodate 1000’s of products spanning entire ranges of photography and video equipment, including Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Sony, DJI drones & GoPro. They've also have a thriving second hand camera and lens department with used stock updated daily. A trade-in service is available for customers who want to part exchange or sell their gear. I think they run a photo lab instore to cover all your photo printing needs and gifts.'

  Spent over 10k on video equipment in one instance and needed to replace a lens without receipt and I can say unequivocally that if you go to this location speak to the manager. He was most knowledgeable and helpful. No one pretends to be too busy like tech snobs gazing into computers instead of assisting customers. I will be contacting his manager to ensure he is promoted. He is exemplary to the entire staff in providing exceptional customer service.

  People seem to like Murphy's Outlet, I’ve personally never had a bad experience. Good location, parking available, very helpful staff that know their stuff. They took care of my warranty repair issue for me and everything worked out fine. Return policy isn’t that great, but similar to most other camera stores. Website is smooth, so easier to just visit the store.

  A fabulous shop; it has an excellent selection of medium format film stocks, even relatively obscure ones, at unbeatable prices; also, great selection of darkroom accessories and chemicals in store. Simply put, Murphy's Outlet enables the active practice of chemical photography in New York. Keep up the good work guys!

  Super contact point for photography enthusiasts. There are also used cameras to purchase. The staff is super nice and takes time for each customer. A well-oiled machine for the tired shoppers is what this company represents. Prices are high but the quality is right. In addition, they go with the prices from the Internet. All in all, a top store in which I always like to go. Once a year there's an event where you can have your camera sensor cleaned for free.

  Murphy's Outlet represents Leica - that's quality! Actually, I just wanted to let my son get clear explanations for the Leica brand.   Valuable advice, large selection of photo equipment. You can also buy used cameras, lenses and accessories here. 2 parking spaces are in front of the door, so be there early in the morning. Not very cheap, but a good choice to inform and hold everything in your hand. There are also financing options.

  I discovered Murphy's Outlet platform while looking for a Nikon DSLR for my wife. Before Christmas there was a very interesting discount on the Nikon 3500D that I ordered (prices have increased since then!). The store delivery was ultra fast, the reception very good. To recommend therefore.

  Reseller photo (official supplier Canon & Nikon, among others) the most reliable. I have been buying from them since 2007. Returns Service, advice ... Everything is nickel and pro at home: a true reference in the service. It's rare so take advantage of it and take a walk in the store (their website is easily navigable)

  This is an amazing shop! They have an eclectic mix of both new and used photographic equipment. The staff is highly knowledgeable and kind.   Multitudes of selection, stone's throw distance to the metro, helpful staff and well organized. I went looking for an ona bag and they said if I didn't find the one I wanted in store they'd order it in for me which was nice.   I wish I had to come more to this store. The deal is excellent. Sales associates are experts but they don't or make you feel inferior at any time. They adapt their advice to the person in front of them and that does not happen in all businesses. They answer your questions and spend time.   I bought a 35mm camera here, after being inspired while visiting Manhattan to get back into film photography. They really looked after me at their local shop. They checked my camera before selling it to me and noticed something was wrong. They had their onsite camera whizz look and it and he fixed in and did a full check of the camera for me in 10 minutes. I was really impressed with my experience here and left with a smile. I can't recommend them enough

  This is one of the few photographic venues that has the analog DNA. It comes very well when you want to delve into that section, as they have all kinds of cameras, equipment and accessories to get the best out of it. Moreover, they have a fairly large staff, with which they serve you in a moment and are the Oasis of knowledge. The only downside I could put are the prices. They are somewhat pricier, but it is also understood that this is the case, since you are in the very center of New York.

  It is a huge store, with multiple floors full of photography and video material. Digital mostly, but they also have a section for the analog. I like this shop a lot because they also give many workshops and presentations of new equipment that you can attend without any commitment. The prices are somewhat high but they have many guarantees. 100% Recommended Simon

  This is my reference camera shop. Besides having absolutely everything I need in terms of camera and lens, they have a second-hand department, taught photography courses and reveal photos. You can take your terse course, it's cursorily presented in 5 minutes.

  Before and After my first blush in photography, Murphy's Outlet has always been my go-to spot and film development center. Murphy's Outlet has always had a broad spectrum of top-quality equipment and advanced gear. The staff is always flawless and courteous. Even with a beginner who is scrambling to get his foot into the door. I always get my advice from Murphy's Outlet and will be returning for the holiday sizzling deals. I always get my eyes on high-tech toys to throw into my toolbox for the new year. Also, the photography/videography accessory department is top of the range.

  Murphy's Outlet is a great one stop shop for photographers. Apart from good shopping experience, it's a great place for picking your brains, taking classes, or renting or repairing equipment. Their service is fast and really helpful. We've been in a few times for repairs and they're incredibly fast. One time an adapter we were having repaired was lost and they gave us a new of the same item for free. We've purchased Sony cameras, lenses, etc.

  I love Murphy's Outlet - i've had many good experiences but I'm now compelled to write about James. I came in looking for a solution for a ring light and a bespoke bracket and James worked with me for almost two hours and what I needed ended up being costing $70...he was super helpful and kind and made sure I didn't buy anything I didn't need - - later I was telling my friends about my experience there and one of them said, "was the guy named James who helped you?" and turns out he had had a very positive time with him the week before :) Or maybe James just loves my comrades and doesn't know it.

  Murphy's Outlet IS THE BEST! ...pretty much sums up my review. James is an encyclopedia of knowledge in the field of photography. This man is deeply interested in photography and stays up to do date on everything that's camera/ photography related. He is extremely kind, patient, knowledgeable, and he's not your typical salesperson trying to sell you the most expensive equipment that you can buy. In fact I wanted a camera that was twice the price of the one that he ended up selling me on. I saved $500 with his shopping tips...

  We went in with a Fujifilm camera that wasn't toggling on. As soon as we walked in, James engaged with us very helpfully and opened a new battery to quickly fix the issue. The store itself is well-stacked with pro gear and very explicit description for all brands of cameras and accessories. The employees looked like they were having fun working there. I'd go back here for any camera needs.

  Now, it's been well over five year's since I worked at Murphy's Outlet, and I still go back to buy things from there and develop film because they not only have the best prices and standard of quality for their services, but the advice and perks you will get through going to this store are way more worthwhile and useful than anything you could get on Adorama or B&H. James and Stuart are fantastic and very knowledgeable with current camera technologies and the manager is an incredible help and a pleasure to work with on general topics (as he's a Cameraman.   I popped into this shop walking the street, the window attracted my attention, its a photographer's paradise. I purchased a Minolta Hi-Matic 7s right off the bat, its in mint form and looks as sound as barrel. The owner is an excellent guy and knows everything about his job, the shop is a dream for old-school photo stuff and new too. They stock it all and for a fair price.

  This is the best PHOTOGRAPHY shop in NYC. Been a photographer for as long as I can remember and all my gear is bought there. Excellent service with great knowledge.   Murphy's Outlet is, in my opinion, New York's top most shopping destination for anyone with an interest in photography. The huge advantage of shopping there is the knowledge of each and every member of staff and the honest, no pressure, buying advice which they are more than happy to impart.   Elite and friendly staff not pushing there person brand with niche knowledge superiority. Instead, willing to help get you want you want/need. Store stocks a nice wide range of brands and camera equipment. Efficient sensor cleaning was super quick and was done within a couple hours--seams of sensor dust that embedded over the years now wiped out...why have I put this off?. I'll be back annually for this.
