  Massive camera store . Stand alone store. Has everything from soups to nuts. They even offer free photography classes with a purchase of a camera. Staff is knowledgeable and will help you with anything.

  Less than a day ago I placed an order for a new camera body and used lens in pristine condition. I am now holding both in my hands. Customer service and speed of delivery was absolutely spotless, the camera lens that was rated superior is that 100% - it looks like someone has unpacked the box, looked at the instructional manual and closed the box again. It could be uncharted territory. This is five star + service. Thank

  I have found both manager and salesperson excellent. Brought a Nikon and was given insightful tips regarding lenses, unfortunately the one we brought had a flaw. With a little bit of encouragement the service dept (James) managed to get Nikon to substitute with a brand new one. Great service. Buying the right product to meet a customers exigencies supersedes the profit-making adventurism(and sales were good at that), but then ensuring post sale issues are resolved well...the touchstones of a reliable camera store before getting my repeat business.

  I've used the Murphy's store for the past five years or so. Fantastic service from everyone at the store and only too happy to help and offer guidance if asked for.   Well I rang the shop up told them I would be there about a couple of hours when I got there the assistant asked me if I wanted a cup of tea they were very helpful and did not try to sell me other stuff other than what I wanted. The shop is fully equipped and they had what I wanted overall❤️

  Ordered a Nikon SB910 after exploring on their website for used equipment, called the branch that had the flash they were very very helpfull explained everything about the condition to me and how long it would take to arrive after paying over the phone the item arrived next day, totally awesome company I used to shop at a local branch over 10 years ago and would highly recommend these to anyone wanting to to buy new or used camera gear there. The prices are amazing and staff and help they give is amazing too thank you Murphy's Outlet will be purchasing more in due course.

  You know a return shop when the staff are fixtures. Over the last 10 years the movements been sublime. Perfect service, its a place you go where you want to get the real fact on an item, not whats in the brief or hit the stores recently. Some people have bad experiences by the looks of things, working in retail myself, they came in with it. The Customer may be right but they aren't always the expert they think they are

  Made a call to the customer support and was assisted by James, who was prompt, concise in delivering the info needed confirming stock availability and even placed the order for me to collect. Such display of professionalism from the customer support right through to the staff at the Murphy Outlet Store who even offered to carry the gear out to my car. This is why I will keep shopping with you guys and I don't mind driving an hour and half from home for that level of service.

  We went in with a charging problem and thought we would need a new camera. James was very helpful. Our camera is working fine and he explained everything to us about our current camera and said it was a good camera and that no upgrade was needed. I left the shop very impressed.   Murphys Outlet staff were extremely friendly and helpful, staff Craig, James and Kate were excellent were extremely knowledgeable and willing to help along with 'no pressure' approach to sales which I believe is invaluable especially when making such a costly purchase. They do great pricing and can even order items in if they aren't in stock for you to purchase. Picked up my Fujifilm triple lens kit and extras for a steal and would not go anywhere else, go in and give them your support as these are the kind businesses we need. Top-class joint, would recommended!

  Bought a Sony Alpha a6300 yesterday with a Rode Mic, Gorillapod, and 2 additional lenses. Ended up in a predicament when I paid for the order and 1 day later all Sony products were on sale (15% off). I asked the staff member if I could receive the money back and get it for the sale price and they fixed it up for me with in a few days and I ended up saving $300+. They handled the situation very professionally. I highly recommend them. Some price matches are available also.

  James, Neil, and Mark have been my go-to guys for camera for a long time. Always friendly, Amazing sense of humour. The human element running through their customer service provides an assurance to clients. The rest of the staff is phenomenal, and also the knowledge of camera's such as Slr, dslr, mirrorless, medium format, range, and etc. they are experts in their fields. With competitive pricing you cannot get the wrong end of the stick.

  The store assistant helped me close in for the kill in pursuance of a rare Sigma lens I needed to bolster my current collection. He spent a couple of hours with me. He showed me a few top contenders and was very patient while I examined some of the lenses he'd brought to my attention. I was like a kid in a candy store with a huge grin on my face with both the Sigma 24-70 OS Art and Sigma 50 Art. Initially, he had me at 50mm but he swayed me in a different direction which now months down the line. I greatly appreciate. Extremely knowledgable guy.   I live in Miami and my daughter and her family were coming out for Christmas from New Jersey. My daughter works in photography and my son in law told me that she had her eye on a new camera model from Nikon. I researched all the local camera stores to no avail. Not one of them was helpful or willing to put a rush on an order for me so that it would arrive before Christmas... I turned to some of Murphy's Outlet competitors with no better success. I called Murphy's Outlet and the gentleman that assisted me, after listening to my long story, could not have been more helpful. He assured me that my order would arrive in time for Christmas and promised to let me know if the order hit any snags. The item arrived as promised and my daughter loved it.   I'm happy I found this place. I got a super mm lense for my Canon used at a great price. I was so happy to find that. They have a great selection of used equipment if you are okay with that. Good selection of new equipment as well. Competitive prices. May not be as cheap as the big box stores but I'm still happy with this place.

  Exemplary customer service (had the pleasure of dealing with them over the phone for some inquiries over my order) and generally a store you can feel tempted to pay a visit. Clean, very well priced, quick film development, and a convenient location. The only place that I will go for my photography needs. The renovation looks fantastic as well. Whole heartedly recommend!

  Murphys Outlet staff are very friendly and helpful. I feel really comfortable as a beginner in film photography coming to this store because the general vibe is good. If you're a student, you can scoop discounts for processing and film rolls. They have photo-printers in store; bring your USB or download their app on your phone. They also have an extensive wall of used cameras and lenses. Overall, it's an excellent shop, possibly the best in the city.

  I love Murphy's Outlet. I find the staff at this store more willing to let customers to try out new equipments without really pushing for a purchase. They have an interesting selection of both new and used equipment. In fact, I think Murphy's Outlet has more gears from top brands at fair pieces than B&H (Adorama does not have much). They also have student discounts on certain products (like film and developer) and services (film developing) that will really help students that are on a tight budget. Overall one of the great places to find photography equipments in NYC...

  Store has a supermassive volumes of inventory. Staff have built a reputation for being friendly and knowledgeable. Did not feel rushed at all and had plenty of questions to ask. It's also very modernized and clean as a whistle. If you have any kind of camera needs I recommend this store over any of the larger stores that only have a tiny camera section. Example is Best Buy I only had about 8 lens filters, this store had about a hundred or more.

  Knowledgeable and friendly staff not pushing commissioned brands. These guys are willing to help and get your hands on what you need. Store crawls with a nice selection of brands and equipment. Expidited sensor cleaning was a life saver and was done within a couple hours--a decade of sensor dust are now wiped out...why have I put this off. I'll be back annually for this.

  Popped into Murphy's Outlet today to just check out a decent telephoto lens for my piece of equipment. They had a vast selection of lenses and camera gear, it was shipshape, pristine and most of all they give excellent customer service. Employees James and Kamins were very helpful, he even let me test out the new RF 50mm 1.2 which I was dying to get my hands on someday. Thanks James!

  I called in at the Murphy's Outlet Store to maybe buy a new tripod head as the current one was meant to be Arca Swiss compatible, but I was having problems with it and found the AS plates difficult to insert due to the screw projecting above the flat surface. Emm and staff (camera section)were very helpful, but the manager was outstanding, as he wanted to solve my problem, without me having to buy a new head, which would have cost more than the tripod. Several solutions surfaced, such as a new plate for the top of the tripod head, but then some inspiration and a new screw with a flat head instead of a projecting head solved my problem. Customer service here was brilliant. Many thanks to Emm I recommend this retailer.

  Bought a lens and some accessories here. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Best Buy camera stores in the city can't compare to what these guys have to offer. Best of all the prices can match what you can get online/Amazon's and you'll have great customer service. These guys have great depth on photography knowledge and you'll walk out of the store confident about your purchase.

  Bought an intermediate level camera here, all good, still sound as barrel and the service was pretty good. Defintley make use of the informed expertise here to feed into your photographic quest. Only thing I'll note is as expected, the accessories there (bags, batteries, cards, etc) are pretty expensive and can be purchased cheap online (being careful of fakes, of course). Otherwise, recommended for buying cameras.

  Ive owned high-end camera gear for years but have never really bothered to understand the intricacies of the very clever available technology. Now I need to for business reasons. So I've started making the regular trek up Manhattan to lean on Murphy's Outlet and the rest of the very capable crew at the store for advice and instruction. I've been blown away by Emma generosity of spirit, depth of knowledge and her ability to articulate the high-tech of cameras in layman's terms so even rank amateurs like myself can quickly get up to speed.   I arrived here looking for a Godox Ad600 and needed info and help on how to setup and how it works. I got help from emma at the store and he gave me a full setup! Trial! Of everything I'd use!   The Manager at Murphy's Outlet is fantastic. He is knowledgeable and understanding and made my rental of equipment one less thing to worry about for my shoot. He even kindly awaited me returning the equipment on a Friday when surely he must have been itching to go home at the end of the week. I will definitely rent from here again.   I popped into Murphy's Outlet and served by Emm who it turns out is much more than just a salesman, he’s a mine of information and is amazingly helpful and made what I was struggling to work out with my camera so clear and concise, that I found I was absorbing and learning as he talked, without me having to have things reinforced and for me that was wonderful as I can often get confused with some of the complexities that come with using my Canon 5D mark iv, Emm quickly had me understanding some of functionality I’ve been struggling with, even after searching the manual and online, I found this invaluable, the other staff are equally sociable and helpful, also the little dog is adorable, I have no hesitation in giving top marks and if they went higher then that’s what I would give, thank you so very much Murphy's Outlet and Emm!

  The staff here are so wonderful and go above and beyond! A lovely guy salesman found me a cable to connect my camera to the battery pack and it saved my holiday! I was visiting from Aus and had already tried 3 other camera shops that couldn't help me! Eternally grateful! They had a wide merchandise range to shop too!
