  Ultimately first class store best in class camera shop ever visited the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable And couldn’t be more helpful to get you the best deal. Bought 2-Fuji XT2s and a few lenses and really pleased with my purchase got a few items before over the last few years and never had any problems Staff here being photographers themselves know how to treat the customers and the store Manager was second to none in getting me the best products to suit my needs Definitely be recommending Murphy's Outlet to all my photography friends and family as it is a great experience shopping here and a joy meeting these wonderful knowledgeable People in the Photography World

  Visited NYC camera shops to buy a camera component for my DSLR. I was served by a very knowledgeable salesman. he spent a lot of time trying to get it to work with my camera. In the end my camera was not suitable for the component. I was advised of this. I feel this camera shop and it's staff are an asset to New York and would recommend them to anyone seeking technical advice on Photographic equipment. I will certainly use this shop in future to buy any photographic goods.

  After several hours spent going over cameras, lenses and what was the best option for me (trying out many in the process) I cannot recommend the store highly enough. Zero pressure to buy anything, just knowledgeable guys who will give you an honest answer to pretty much any question you can throw at them. When spending a lot on a camera, this kind of service and expertise is invaluable and nowhere comes ahead of Murphy's Outlet.

  Dealt with Shawn from day one of going in to shop ,fantastic help , step in right direction ,had loads of time to talk you through the process. Got my camera today couldn't be happier and Shawn spent more time than you would expect helping me get it set up as this was my first digital camera (hadn't been near a camera for 30yrs) great guy knows his stuff Thanks Murphy's Outlet!

  Super store with all. range of products in the photographer's world. Top of the range items at fairly higher prices but this is understandable as it's a local New Yorker shop to examine product before purchasing. Great 📷 store!

  Murphy's Outlet is a good camera shop with plenty of photographic equipment for the beginner, enthusiast and pro. Pricing is quite good. Found that battery prices were the best anywhere! Friendly staff are always willing to spend time giving good advice on all things photography. Recommended!

  I made my purchase from the store - yes I could have gotten the item delivered directly to me. Maybe I could have even saved a few bucks but unless we continue to purchase directly from specialist stores like this we will lose not only the staff's collective knowledge but also somewhere to physically get our hands on equipment before making (at times expensive) decisions.

  Trilogy Photo Lab (TPL) always ask for James for any of our photographic requirements. Always goes over and above the call of duty - whether its placing an order or just needing some advice! You can tell he has been many years in the business.

  People seem to not like Murphys Outlet, but I’ve personally never had a bad experience. Good location, accessible, very helpful staff that know their stuff. They took care of my warranty repair issue for me and everything worked out fine. Return policy isn’t that great, but similar to most other camera stores. Website is easily navigable, so easier to just visit the store.

  -Staff from sale part here is very helpful and patience. I forgot that my debit has a 1000$ limit and he patiently wait for me to call the bank to up my limit. He's also went out his way to help my get my student discount. I would definitely come here again if i ever need any camera equipment

  Bought a Nikon 80-400mm lens from them. Their service is efficient and the lens was in good shape and performed as expected. Some people give bad ratings as they didn't do their homework regarding a certain lens. I did mine and knew this lens was slightly slow for airshows, but went with it and was satisfied with its performance.

  Have ordered via the internet before from Murphys Outlet, but decided to go and visit them at at their New York branch and was not disappointed! Friendly welcome from a young salesman and sophisticated gentleman (sorry didn't get your name!) who helped me a lot with the camera I was after. My wife brought some of her old gear along which we part exchanged and got a reasonable amount for! Easy parking, easy to find and a very good experience. Cheers guys! :)

  I was searching heavily on the internet for an Optoma Projector. Amazon is my first port of call to see an estimate price and get a bearing. Alas! Amazon had gone out of stock and even had a higher price than I had seen earlier in Murphy's Outlet plus others. Discontinued by manufacturer. I wrote this piece for anyone who may have misgivings on Murphy's reliability. After getting The Optoma projector, I'm delighted with how it bathes with a rich pool of light, high-contrast resolution etc. It renders dazzling light, finer images and clarity. Thank you so much john and jim and Murphy Outlet!

  Always lots of help available here. Knowledgeable staff and you can actually hold the cameras, much better than online when you have to hope you're getting the right one! It's like going to a sweetie shop, far too much choice!

  Staff is awesome - super knowledgeable, as one would hope/expect in such a store. The prices are great (for being a "specialty" store, the prices are not "specialty" prices, if you know what I mean!) I have never felt pressured to buy anything; in fact they are great at educating on what product is better - even if it means spending less. THAT alone is worth a ton. Thanks to John for his help today in my latest purchase!

  I love the camera store. I have purchased all of my equipment from here and am greeted with friendly, educated and professional staff every time. When asking a question I have yet to experience a staff member not stop what they are doing and give me their full attention until I feel confident and happy. I could spend hours in this store!

  Staff are always helpful and knowledgeable. Prices are normally on the lower side of the spectrum, you get excellent service and a great selection of equipment to choose from. They always have a good selection of used gear to look at. All in all a pretty one-stop camera store.

  Knowledgeable staff and excellent customer service. I walked into Murphy's outlet this morning and was basically greeted by every employee that I passed. I was looking to purchase a tripod and some camera filters. Staff were more than helpful. They know the ins and outs of all their merchandise, was very patient and made great suggestions. I am very happy with my experience today.

  I look forward to going into Murphy's Outlet. They have great variety, and knowledgeable staff. Any time I need to pick up anything related to my photography needs, Murphy's Outlet is the place. It is also great to have the rental option right in the same location too. If you have never been to Murphy's Outlet, check it out. I highly recommend it.

  Went to rent some camera equipment for a wedding I was taking a video for. Super helpful staff in the rentals department who helped me decide what equipment to get and gave recommendations. Damage deposit was a bit steep but understandable given the equipment value, would go again for any of my camera equipment and rental needs!
