  I am very happy with Madison Avenue Cameras in Manhattan. The contact is very professional at all times and the staff are all very nice. Regardless of whether the contact was made by phone, on site or by email. I was helped quickly and easily, and above all in a very accommodating manner, if I had a problem that I was responsible for. Excellent! It's always called America's service desert, but that doesn't apply to Madison Avenue Cameras in Manhattan. I would not have thought that there is still such a service-oriented business and then I find such a darling in NYC of all places. A thousand thanks to Madison Avenue Cameras & a thousand thanks to the team in New York!

  Went into the store today looking for a lens, the man working behind the counter was on the phone, didn't acknowledge us at all. Continued to talk for 10 minutes on the phone, never once said a word to us. Could hear what he was chatting about and it didn't sound like work. Poor service and we left after 10 minutes because it was clear we weren't gonna get spoken to any time soon. Visited on the 16/11/21 at around 2-3pm.

  Brilliant seller! I bought a lovely Venus Optics Laowa 4mm f/2.8 Fisheye Lens in perfect condition. Not only was it cheaper than the BNH equivalent, buyer also gets the reassurance of buying from an established camera dealer, one who answers any questions with speed and knowledge.   Lovely shop but the customer service is just excellent. These guys know their stuff and are exceptionally helpful. The let you test drive stuff at your own pace and offer useful suggestions along the way. Their knowledge about doing the international customs returns is good as well.   Despite signs asking people to social distance, I had to stand well outside the queue just to avoid unmasked customers trying to stand inches from me. Worst of all though, I witnessed one staff member wearing a face shield and no one else. Most of the staff wore no mask and made no attempt to keep any meaningful distance from customers or each other. Inexplicably, at a time when hygiene is so important, they have made toilets unavailable to customers.

  I am struggling to get in touch with these guys as I don't have skype, the Nikon F3 35mm SLR I bought arrived today and does not work (I have tried 3 different sets of new charged batteries and inserted wrong viewfinder) - there was no invoice in the package and there is no phone number of email on their website. I have opened a complaint sadly via Paypal but will not wait 21 days as suggested as in the original ad it said you had to return item in 14 days. I have the address so will send the item back - such a shame as these seem nice guys with good product options.

  Great camera, photo, and film store. Glad to see a small business that still has a wide variety of products in a niche market, with new items and competitive prices. Got film developed and scanned here. Staff is always helpful. Good amount of used camera gear as well. Only complaint is that the the standard film scan quality is somewhat low, and increasing to 6MP is a ridiculous price increase. Makes me want to just mail my film elsewhere. Where you can get 6MP standard, or for only about $2 more per roll.

  I'm a commercial professional photographer; but I also teach photography at a local art center. I purchased the Nikon D5300 for my B-Day in October 2021 from Madison Avenue Cameras. I didn't want entry-level, having been a decent photographer when I was younger, but I also knew I didn't need top of the line. I did a lot of research, and this camera had rave reviews. It has certainly lived up to them. It has everything you need, and then some. It is easy to use and is just plain amazing.

  After a few hundred snaps with D850 attached to a Nikkor 600 f4 I am sold. The clarity of wildlife images and definition of detail is amazing. Equally impressive is Madison Ave Cameras' - they not only provide great products at competitive prices, they have the very best customer service in the business. I've sourced equipment from other vendors in the past, and none of them came close to Madison in service. All of my current and future purchases have been and will be from Madison.

  Incompatible QR Plate I thought this would have less overhang from the tripod mount on my Canon telephoto lens than the 200PL-Pro plate I bought earlier. It does hang over less, but it does NOT fit my Manfrotto Element MII tripod! The Manfrotto Element MII takes a Quick Release plate about 1 1/2 wide.

  The most trustworthy and fastest photo gear distributer - SONY A7C I didn't expect that Madison Avenue Cameras' shipped this SONY A7C, so fast the lens is incredible- , so quickly (Its schedule in a trip to Africa safari n was December 2021).   I was seeking an A/C Adapter for my Nikon DSLR camera. I had spotted a preferable one on the Madison's website but was unsure whether it was suitable as the description stated that it was for the Nikon DSLR. I was also perplexed because I could not see how it was powered. The accompanying image (which is a standard image for the product and is similar to that of other suppliers’ websites) just shows the adapter box and a length of the connection cable to the camera. The unit still need an additional cable available separately

  The usual great service A quick look online showed that Madison Avenue Cameras' had the Sony 200-600 lens in stock and I had just over 30 minutes to order on Sunday for Monday delivery. A glitch in online payment meant I had to 'phone my order through, but that took only a few minutes and my new lens was with me by lunchtime the next day. Friendly, efficient and helpful, as always, thanks to all the staff at Madison Avenue Cameras'.

  Good company, somewhat disappointing product The Madison Ave Cameras' website is easy to use. Ordering, paying and delivery all went smoothly. However, the Kenro film scanner I purchased has two defects- firstly, it won't accept the old thick plastic slide mounts which were used in the 70s and secondly, the output from color positive slides is very contrast.

  Uma compra para no se arrepender Excelente mquina, uma full frame potente, leve e de muito boa relao custo beneficio. Do melhor no mercado para capturar imagens em viagens. A lente 24-105 muito verstil, til nas mais variadas condies. Recomendo o conjunto.

  Sony's G Master 24-70 IQ gives excellent image quality and sharpness. In addition, this lens takes Sony's teleconverters. You have the option to use this as a 105-280mm 4 lens with the SEL14TC. This means that it will be better in lowlight situations and can deliver a more shallow depth of field.

  Canon BG-E14 Battery Grip I needed a battery grip for my Canon 90D, I tried the main Canon website and it was on back order, so I searched Madison Avenue Cameras and again they never disappoint, I needed the extra power for my camera I case I have to do a long day of shooting and this battery grip did just the thing.   Great prices, good and fast service. Why not five stars? My package was missing some information and for that reason it was returned from UPS back to Madison's warehouse which delayed the delivery one day. I paid for next day service however it took two days because of that missing information.

  Great value and great service. Recently bought a Mavic Air drone from Madison, they gave great advice, the product was very competitively priced and it was dispatched and delivered quickly and professionally. I would buy again without hesitation. one point of caution, the advice from the chat bot was useless and wrong, so I ignored it and phoned the shop and got a good answer from a very knowledgeable chap.

  Poorly packed. Great communication from trader, but the camera and lens was packed very poorly. The box was completely crushed and split open. Please consider using a stronger box and more tape.

  Very satisfied with my purchase of a Nikon DSLR Ordered a used Nikon D850 DSLR camera from Madison Ave Cameras' last Wednesday with UPS two day air shipping. Camera arrived on Friday and was well packed. Camera was in excellent condition. Very satisfied with my purchase.

  Almost a smooth purchase Although I had quite a bit of miscommunication in the process of placing and receiving the order, the apparent cause was a mixup in the email address associated with my Madison account.
