Verified reviewThank goodness for KOHA Pet Foods! My cat has probably poultry allergies, so finding a quality replacement protein in a quality food was not easy. My vet (sigh) recommended the typical vet brands, one of which killed one of my cats in 1989, after it made her lose half her hair. Which turned out to be a common reaction to their foods (my then-vet had INSISTED she must be on that brand of food. After she lost half her hair from it, I took it back for a full refund and dumped him. But sadly, it was too late for my beloved furbaby.) Unfortunately, most vets are still extremely ignorant about pet nutrition and believe what the pet food reps tell them. I personally have food allergies and no, eating a "hydrolyzed" version of the food I'm allergic to is NOT going to help me, which is what the vet-brand food reps claim. Their foods are also high in soy and corn, both of which are in the top ten foods one is most likely to be allergic to. In addition, corn is almost always moldy, and neither corn nor soy are natural foods for felines. So finding KOHA, highly recommended by a cat website I follow, was a miracle! Their food is healthy and clean, and their customer service is top rate. Love love love them!
