  My cat was diagnosed with IBS and needs to be on a strict diet of ‘novel’ protein. So, he loves the Duck pate, and the Rabbit pate. He’s just ‘ok’ with the Kangeroo (which is only available in 5 ounce cans) and he won’t touch the Venison. I wish the Kangeroo came in smaller cans (3 ounces) and there was also dry food (Kibble) available. Also, it would be great if Kohapet started a reward/loyalty program whereby accumulated points can be redeemed for different items (plastic tops for cans, tee-shirts, hats, etc) all with the Kohapet name or logo.

  Site navigation was easy and I appreciated the ease of switching our subscription from the elusive rabbit formula. However, while the box of food we received was padded between the cases and had padding around them, almost all of the cans in the pack were dented. Not sure how that could happen unless they had been dented before packing them? Now I have to manually inspect all of them to ensure they aren't punctured.

  My cat has struggled with loose stools for the last 8 or so years. It has just gotten worse as time goes on. Finally after some research I decided to switch his food to Koha minimal ingredient. He is cured!! It feels like magic. I used to have to clean cat poop out of the carpet, off the floor, off the couch because he was in pain and now he has normal poops and I can tell he is so much happier. His cat sister is also loving it and wouldn’t eat her normal food so we switched them both. They have never been happier, more loving and more excited to be fed!

  I have been using Koha Pet for a couple of years and have not had a problem before this. Not sure it is their fault, according to them and UPS the shipment is lost. It was ordered on July 3, shipped July 7 and still not arrived by July 15. It is sitting in a hot trailer in the summer sun and Koha wants me to still feed this food to my pets. I will not and if it does arrive at this point it will be refused. It is up to Koha if they want to replace this order with safe food for my pets to eat.

  Thank you for sharing your feedback. KOHA typically ships orders the same day they are received. In this case, your order was placed over the July 4th holiday weekend and was processed on Monday, July 7th. It left our warehouse that same day. As of our conversation today, July 15th, one of the two boxes is out for delivery, and the other has been loaded onto a delivery truck in your area. Please know your order has not been sitting in a hot truck since July 7th. UPS packages move continuously through their network, making stops at various sorting facilities and transfer hubs as they travel. They are not left idle in a single location or vehicle for extended periods of time. KOHA does not have control over the package once it has left our facility. If you choose to refuse delivery or return the package, we will issue a refund once it arrives back at our warehouse. I'm truly sorry I can’t be of more help in this situation.

  We’re on auto ship for two flavors - it’s convenient and arrives quickly. My dog (13 y/o GSD) is doing so well on the bland diet wet foods. I first used it a year ago after he was on antibiotics and needed a different diet - we never looked back!

  Koha pet is excellent. It is easy to place orders online, and the orders ship very quickly. They offer the ability to buy in cases, or smaller quantities for trial purposes. My cat has severe food allergies. She has been eating the Koha limited ingredient Kangaroo food without any issues. I wanted to give her a little variety, so tried the limited ingredient venison. She likes it better than the kangaroo, and gobbles it up. I recently tried the limited ingredient duck, but she was allergic to it.

  Real, balanced ingredients my cat loves. We buy the bland diet as my cat has poor digestion. This product along with probiotics and constipation OTC med has been a great win for our cat and our carpeting. His vomiting has subsided. We also learned our daughter uses KOHA bland diet for her senior dog. Very pleased with results.

  One star for this order only. Because of poor packaging, 9 cans were dented. I cannot chance feeding these to my 16-year-old Ragdoll who has inflammatory bowel disease. This food is what he tolerates best.

  Overall ordering/shipping is very good through Koha. Unfortunately they are currently out of stock of the food I normally get on auto ship, but they did offer a discount code for a couple other varieties which was appreciated. Best part - offer limited ingredient novel protein with NO PEAS. Very hard to find. Problem just with a recent order - I still placed my auto ship order for the other food I normally get and was charged a shipping fee. You would think with auto ship, the free shipping would be included but apparently not. The cost of the food is already high and then I got hit with an extra charge I wasn’t expecting because they were out of stock of half my order.

  We have a recurring order from Koha for our cat with IBD. It is always on time and thank goodness, because they make the only food our cat will eat! Seriously, finding Koha was a huge relief after months of stress trying to find a reliable and true single protein food that our cat doesn't turn his nose up at.

  KOHA Rabbit Au Jus was purchased for our IBD megacolon diabetic cat. This wet limited ingredient canned food met all his medical needs and supported by his IBD meds, he eased into the introduction of this novel protein -recommended as a strategy to address IBD-and he really enjoyed the taste. Unfortunately, he is back to his previous food as when his IBD symptoms came under control, his constipation kicked in because the megacolon meds were not in use during the IBD flare. With our vet, we are continuing to determine the best medical plan for our cat at this time. The KOHA Rabbit Au Jus food appeared to be a good low carb choice for diabetic cats. My concern is the return policy for the product lies heavy on the consumer. If our cat returns to his “normal”, I can’t imagine changing his food again. So, this expensive food will be donated. Also, the food is not easily available at local food stores, found only in locally owned shops which can order for you, but it does take time to receive the product which is why I purchased more than I really should have- 2 sleeves locally and 2 from KOHA. More immediate access of the product is a recommendation I would suggest. Thank you for providing alternate protein sources for cats.

  Problem with changing the terms of the subscription I had and had to deal with a very rude unpleasant KOHA representative. Closed my subscription. My pets like their food but there are other brands like Instinct and Merrick that they like and I don’t have trouble getting those brands.

  Our Vet recommended Koha in a list to try. Koha offers 3-can trial package, so helpful!! Food is expensive & cats are finicky eaters. (His former pate was discontinued & our kitty has severe allergies.) Also, I made error in shipping address/city when ordering; I sent Email & called in morning - Koha was already fixing my error.   Made my cat sick even with just a teaspoon. Lining of the can isn’t BPA free and scrapes off when using spoon to scoop out food. I reached out to customer service to have the issue resolved and I was offered store credit, but was not given an answer to my question about what the can lining is made of, and obviously since it makes my cat sick I have no interest in repurchasing. If they would have provided a refund or answered my questions I might have given another star.

  Hi Brianna, We're very sorry to hear that your cat wasn't feeling well. As we explained in our email correspondence, we answered your questions regarding the can lining (BPA is not intentionally added to the packaging, but very small trace amounts from the environment may still be present. Our cans are BPA-free but they contain BPF and that acts the same as BPA. So we can claim BPA-free on them, but do not because we feel it would be deceptive. The FDA has deemed our BPA usage a "safe" level;l however, we are still trying to source an alternative liner. As of now, there is no such thing as a "technically" BPA-free can in the US that will hold meat. When they become available, we will be one of the first companies to use them.) We also reviewed our return policy, which is available on our website, and explained that KOHA is 95% protein with no fillers, which can be quite rich—especially our duck formula, which is naturally high in fat. For this reason, we strongly recommend a slow transition when introducing our food to help pets adjust comfortably. You can find our suggested transition chart on our website for guidance. We truly care about the well-being of your pet and are here to help with any further questions.

  The limited ingredient rabbit pate is the best limited ingredient novel pet food that is also high quality and species appropriate. Two of my cats have multiple protein allergies. I refuse to feed them junk hydrolyzed protein kibble. I get my shipments on time. I think the price is fair for the quality of the product, which is consistent. Ordering through recurring shipment saves some money. Overall, I'm very happy with Koha as a company and this product.

  Such a great clean alternative to the stuff that they give you at the vet’s office. My little Chihuahua has a really sensitive stomach and the vet suggested her a brand name that they supplied at their facility.. When I looked at the ingredient list on it, I was shocked to see how many carcinogenic preservatives and fillers there were. Especially, in something that is considered safe for dogs who have stomach issues. Once I got Koha I could tell immediately the difference between this and her old food. She definitely enjoys it way better as well! I’ve been purchasing this for about a year now, and my dog has yet to have any kind of stomach flareups and has normal bowl movements. I’d recommend this to any dog owner who has a pup with irritable bowel syndrome or a sensitive stomach.

  I have been on a routine delivery for several months and have been increasingly getting more disappointed. I was silent until now. I have 2 cases delivered and every can is dented some so bad that I’m surprised they are not open. I opened 2 cans to feed my cats and both cans were completely different colors one had 1/4 of the can filled with what looked like gelatin. The reason I loved Koha was because of the limited ingredients. Not sure I am going to continue with future purchases.

  Got this food for my daughter's dog that has stomach issues. She has a vitamin K deficiency and this food has done great for her. My daughter was fixing her food for a long time but her fur baby was losing weight. After being on this food she has gained her weight back and is doing great! Would highly recommend this food if your pet has any kind of stomach issues or food allergies.

  First of all, the food is excellent for my cats. They were on a prescription diet for IBD recommended by my vet. One cat started developing diabetes and the other had constant, persistent itching requiring medication. Before starting insulin, I looked at the diet and noticed they had added pea protein as one of the first ingredients. I switched their food to Koha by following the recommended method of mixing old and new food. Both cats love the new food and their symptoms are much improved. The customer service is fantastic.I am having the food shipped and twice had a problem with dented, damaged cans. One can was open and another contained spoiled food. I don’t take a chance with dented cans and threw them away. When I notified customer service the response was immediate and I received a refund. ( I didn’t ask for a refund the first time.) I definitely recommend Koha limited ingredient food for cats! It’s apparently yummy and improved the health for both of my cats.

  One of my cats has food allergies, so he needs novel proteins. I wanted to supplement their food I’ve been using for many years from another company, and found KOHA had several novel proteins the other company didn’t have. KOHA’s website was very easy to navigate and I found the novel protein foods quickly and easily. I could also get just a few cans of different flavors to sample and see what my cats enjoyed eating. They liked 2 out of the 3 flavors and had no problems with them, so they now have a bit of a variety! I also liked that the food was limited ingredient. Navigating the KOHA website was effortless and painless.
