I purhased the ISBN however to find out from IngramSpark that it was already used. I had to pay an additional $85 to purchase?

This can happen for a few different reasons. 1. Since IngramSpark's redesign last year, false errors have been coming up from time to time. Often people will try a day or 2 later and the number will just work with no additional explanation or reason. 2. If someone attempts to use the ISBN at Kindle Direct Publishing before creating a project on Ingram, it won't work because Amazon has a way of spoiling ISBNs which can cause that error. 3. If someone attempts to use the same ISBN number for the print and ebook editions on IngramSpark, this error will occur. In all cases this can be resolved through customer support. I checked and can assure you that the ISBN you purchased was not used before.
