  This website is pretty great as far as speciality boat paint goes. I did not have to contact customer service because the descriptions are so good on the website that all questions are answered there. I am glad a site like this exists because I spent days driving around town checking paint stores looking for the right product. These guys had it!

  The order was processed and shipped promptly and received the 3 gallons of paint in 2 days. The can lids were secured with small clamps, as required, and protected with specially designed one- and two-gallon styrofoam packs that fit the cardboard boxes perfectly and did not allow for movement of the cans. The prices were $40 lower per gallon than the pricing I could get with a 40% discount from West Marine. The Sea Hawk Colorkote mixed easily and went on smoothly and time will tell its anti-fouling properties and longevity. Coverage was a bit less than anticipated as 4 gallons would have been best for a 44-foot sailboat, 2 coats. Two people just over 2.5 hours to apply with rollers. Great service and excellent product.

  This was my first time using Bottom Paint Store to match non skid on a Grady White. They had all materials needed, prices were at market price, and the site was easy to use. Everything shipped on time and was properly packed to prevent damage. I will likely use them next year for bottom paint (I already purchased before I found the site).

  Web sight is hard to navigate and wont let me use my paypal account, says its a duplicate account, so i have to call in my order and use a cc. They have a good price on paint, free shipping and fast delivery. I’ve been happy with them over the last few years except for the paypal issue.

  I love this store! Everything is priced lower than other online and brick and mortar competitors. Plus, the shipping policy is very generous. Most orders that I make are expensive, but I've been very fortunate to usually get free shipping. It is so aggravating to spend a lot of money and then get dinged an extra $20+ for shipping. And I always have my stuff in 3 days which is so useful when you need something quickly. I highly recommend The Bottom Paint Store!

  Placing the order for the paint on the website was easy. I am working on a 50+ year old aluminum flat Jon boat as a project. Bringing back to life. At the point where it needed a paint job. After much research, Bottom Paint Store came on top and Sea Hawk Aluma Hawk. The paint came quick, from Florida to Arizona. Well packaged. Now, as for the paint - it was very thick. Perhaps I should’ve thinned it down. I used a roller and a brush to finish off around and under the ribs. Paint dried quick. By the time I finished one end of the boat, it was ready for the second coat. But the finished product was awesome. The 14’ Jon boat looked new. I used the entire gallon. If I had to do it again, I would thin it down and perhaps use a spray gun. I was satisfied with the quick service and the paint. I do recommend this paint store and “thick” paint.

  I tried to place an order on the weekend but the website blocked the checkout. After an hour I gave up. Monday morning I tried to place an order by phone which ended up taking at least an hour of frustration before I got through to an operator who could take my call. I also tried to start a chat on Monday but no response there either. To add to my frustration their emails kept asking me to rate their service but the link to do so was a dead end every time. I did get my paint once the order was placed but all total it took well over an hour of frustration.

UPS made an error during shipping and sent the package to WA, but it is now on route to MA and scheduled for delivery 5/23.   It took longer than expected to receive my order (11 business days before it shipped). I feel that customer service was good given my specific issue that the manufacturer was the hold up as it was relayed to me. Unfortunately I do not feel I can give a top rating because the company did not deliver when they said they would and delayed my project. My intention is for this to be an honest review and not a negative one.

  Great service! Very quick on larger orders. Only issue is that it would be nice if lower cost items had better shipping rates. A quart can costs $26 to ship which made me purchase it from another source that offered free shipping.

It is disappointing to hear that your experience with the Desert Sand Professional Grade Exterior Gel Coat did not work out for you. It sounds like from the email you sent us that you did not follow the application guidelines and it hardened too quickly. We cannot provide a refund on a product that is used, the manufacturer will not accept it. Our gelcoat has a very high rating from customer reviews.

  It was easy to order my bottom paint and set up an account. I never received an order confirmation and I was unable to log in to my account after ordering. The sites computer system never sent a password reset link when I tried to reset my password multiple times. The order was received surprisingly quick, but the paint can was significantly dented. A competing vender did send a can of paint in a much sturdier box and was protected by Styrofoam end caps.

  Thank you for packaging the product nicely for shipment. I ordered this paint (Interlux Primocon to prep a new set of Bennett trim tabs for installation. Your product was properly packed. Sadly the trim tabs were just thrown in a box. Not a bit of packing material. These are the second set of tabs I've had to order as the first was damaged in shipment. You guys should send someone from your shipping department over to Bennett. Thanks for doing such a great job.
