  This move was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. We looked in the truck when it arrived and our boxes were so poorly packed that they looked like they had been tossed in there. Our Sleep number bed was damaged as it wasn’t packaged according to the instructions which I left on the actual bed. Our washing machine was also damaged to the point it is unusable. We called customer service and their response was “It’s a holiday weekend, file a claim”. Really helpful advice, we have two small children and no washer. If I could rate you a zero I would absolutely horrible.

  They did a good job. Our driver was wonderful and delivered our furniture a day early. I would recommend Allied to anyone needing to move. We moved from Upstate South Carolina to Northwest Oregon. Price was lower than others and actually went down from the original quote.

  I liked their system. However, it took them way too long to get my stuff to me because they couldn’t find a driver. When my stuff arrived a lot of it was filthy and a television base was broken. Luckily I have too many televisions so it didn’t concern me too much. Their movers were polite and efficient.

  We were promised a date by the agent who crossed off and hand wrote our expected date. The driver said that would never be possible the day he showed up. Then throughout the week we kept getting phone calls about moving our arrival date and then the day of he was 2 hours late and couldn’t be reached. Also? Our measured weight was 1700 pounds more than what the people who moved us into our new place were told it was. I’ve been trying and trying to get hell with both the local company and national line and no one wants to have any accountability or answer my questions. Definitely would not recommend using this company and not trusting their quote if you’re looking to compare.

  Very good, communication was a little amiss. But service was great, movers were awesome and did a great job. They were Al’s friendly and went out of their way to help with my long distance (1200 mile) move. I would definitely use them again. When you first look at the price you might think it’s expensive, but if you sit down and break down the cost of the manpower in both locations, the drive from your home to the new location (fuel and manpower) plus the safety of your belongings…. It doesn’t really seem quite so expensive. I wouldn’t be able to move myself and all my belongings … the did a very good job! Thank you!

  I really appreciate the fact that they ate very transparent with their processes and communicated with every step along the way. I got everything I was promised with no surprises. The truck driver had issues with his truck on delivery, but the company communicated very well and did everything they could to deliver their services. Definitely recommend to anyone that needs to move their belongings over a long distance.

  All the workers, truck driver, were very thorough and careful with what they did. They were always on time and worked continuously, wasting no time. The only thing that has not been accomplished is CMS, a third party organization has still not uncrated my glass tables. I keep having to call them for a status.

  The Allied team was fantastic. We were impressed by how quickly and efficiently they loaded our belongings and unloaded them in our new house. All members of the moving crew were very professional and helpful. They moved our entire house and broke nothing. Definitely would use Allied again.

  This service was worse than I could have imagined. The packers did not pack everything they were suppose to and the loaders could not fit everything on the truck. A second truck was needed and 4000 lbs was loaded. I have yet to see that second truck or receive any updates.

  Worst move experience of my life, I do not recommend. They broker with a local mover, they they broker with a hauler, who allows the truck driver to bring in whomever he wants, people he hasn’t even met into our home and they treat our stuff like garbage. The estimator was off by 4000 pounds so we had to fork out an extra $5000, even though they swore we wouldn’t have to pay anything over the original estimate. But when it came to having our stuff delivered they said they wouldn’t unload a single item unless we handed the driver a cashiers check for the full amount. Whole experience was horrendous.

  Communication was terrible! I attempted to confirm a pick up time on two different occasions and was told someone would call me to confirm. The morning of the pick up I recieved a call from the driver asking if anyone was home. The quote came back 1400 pounds under which resulted in paying an additional $1,000+. Delivery date was 24 hours late resulting in additional fees to switch my airline ticket. The driver and movers were great! Unfortunately the lack of communication is a deal breaker for me.

  The crew was either lazy or incompetent when it came to re-assembling furniture that they took apart. Missing item and damage to items they packed. Our items smelled of smoke because the driver smoked cigars excessively and hung out a lot in the trailer. Disingenuous behavior in that they wouldn't bring known problems or damage they caused to our attention. Misrepresented their skill in packing and unpacking high end pianos despite charging extra. Overall, cannot recommended. Thought we were paying extra for care and professional service and got low-end movers instead.

  Move was affordable and easy on the front end. Once things were loaded, lacked effective communication on the destination side. No move coordination…..things showed up when driver called. I had to coordinate the 3rd party assembly which wasn’t planned or effective on the back end. Minimal damage. Moving crews were phenomenal! Staff less so

  Shane and his team did a great job loading and unloading. I was impressed from beginning to end. Matt set up the move and quoted a fair price. The team worked well together and assisted me in setting up each room. They assembled everything carefully and put all the beds back together just in time for me to open the linens box and make the beds. Shane ran the show in a kind, yet professional manner; doing everything that needed to be done. I could not ask for anything more. Thank you for making a very stressful process as easy as it could possibly be!

  Late pick up so settlement was postponed so had to pay for an extra stay at a hotel. Missing table legs, plants and broken dishes. Late delivery and had to sleep on floor. When picking up furniture workers used our bathrooms and clogged them so had to pay for a cleaning service. No communication and rude workers. Not a fan

  The movers contracted to pick up our already packed belongings were rude, slow, completely and utterly unprofessional. We had a medical emergency occur the morning of our scheduled move, the movers showed up early and acted like this medical emergency requiring an ambulance to come to our home and usher a family member to the hospital was one big inconvenience for them. Our moving coordinator could not do anything to help us with this situation and the movers wanted to reschedule. There were no days available within the next two weeks per our moving coordinator, so we requested they stay and move under the supervision of our neighbor as both my partner and I were on our way to the hospital. This company was Bayshore Movers of Delaware. They asked us to buy them coffee when they arrived, acted upset that there was only one cup per person when we obliged, and then demanded that we help them move by saying “oh are you just going to sit on your butt or help us move your stuff?” Furthermore they never put all of our furniture hardware in a single box, which came from furniture they disassembled, so we lost pieces of hardware necessary for our furniture to be reassembled. It was nice to see their company got mandated breaks for lunch; however, during each persons lunch break (taken separately), none of the remaining three movers did any moving while the fourth was on break. During these breaks, they demanded to use our wifi and were upset our internet had already been disconnected for our move. They also made snide comments about how good the lunches we had packed for ourselves for the day looked. They also were unable to follow explicit and repeated instructions to only move labeled boxes and furniture. As a result, they tore a piece of furniture not marked to be moved out of the wall by its anchors making a giant hole in the wall, and put items on their truck we planned to bring in our car because of their value or inability to be moved by truck. When we told them certain things weren’t supposed to be taken, they talked about how inconvenient it would be for them to get it off the truck and that they wouldn’t do it. Then, during transit, a marble table top of ours was shattered. Upon hearing about all of this, ou moving coordinator said “wow that sounds terrible” and just sent us a form to fill out for the goods damaged in transit. This company was an expensive option yet was no better than a budget moving company we’ve used previously.

  Crew in High Point did a good job. They got way ahead of the driver so it took 8 hours to load. The unloading crew in Lewisville was awesome. Quick, efficient and fun to work with. The only casualty was a broken leg on an antique chair which the driver signed that he would pay to repair. Overall I was very satisfied.

  This is the 3rd time I’ve used Allied. I was very pleased with my moved. Ricky, my driver, and his crew were the best movers I’ve ever had. They were professional, polite, and friendly, not just to me, but with each other. My household items were handled with great care, and nothing was broken when we arrived at our destination.   The movers themselves were great. However, trying to work with the project manager was extremely frustrating. Phone calls and emails were rarely returned in a timely fashion if at all. I don’t think waiting a week or more for the response to a question is reasonable. I have moved cross country 5 times over the past 35 years, and I have never felt so abandoned. Even the office staff didn’t seem to know anything, or care. The woman I spoke to in billing was flip when I shared my frustrations. It was altogether a strange experience. In the end, I bypassed the coordinator and office staff and went directly to the gentleman who bid the job. Moving, even to someone who has moved a lot and knows what to expect, requires information, coordination and, yes, a feeling that the people who are helping you move give a hoot (being polite here). It’s hard when they don’t seem to care one bit.

  The guys at O’Brien were outstanding. They were extremely careful with our things. Wrapped everything securely. They worked extremely hard packing, moving, and setting up our things. Everything they told us was completed exactly as told, including time frame for pick up and delivery.

  Took things apart that didn't need to be, promised to put them back together and then did not. Insulted both myself and my husband. Packers just threw things in boxes (dirty doormats on top of clean dishes). When unloading they pretended to listen to where we wanted things and put them anywhere anyway, so we have no idea where anything is. We're discovering the Packers just shoved things anywhere and have a few broken items already. Made a complaint to our coordinator who supposedly forwarded it on to customer service over a week ago and have heard nothing back. Will never use them again. For the price we paid I'm just horribly disappointed at the outcome.

  I am so happy that I choose Allied Van lines through Prestige moving out of Portland Oregon. My experience could not have been better. Wilsonville office was very attentive and answered all questions from beginning, to pick up to delivery. Our Allied driver, Tom Lloyd, Was fantastic. Again I could reach out to him at anytime with questions about date of delivery, he was exceptional. I spoke to several other moving companies before I chose Allied, and I am so happy with my decision. Quality, service and accountability. I Give them my highest recommendation.

  This is our 2nd cross country move with Allied and we were very pleased with the level of care with which they treated our household goods. Our driver, David C., was exceptional and friendly. He and his whole crew really worked hard in 100+ degree heat and never skipped a beat.

  Did not receive a receipt despite asking several times so now I can’t claim the expense on my taxes. Quoted 9k for my whole household move, I sold off several of pieces of furniture and a home gym set without telling them. They said the weight was the same and charged me full price after weighing it. Movers were on time and professional and only a few small things went missing on the way which is good compared to my other moves.

  Aaron was the reason we.chose Allied for our long distance move. He was professional, clear and responsive to our questions and concerns. The icing on the cake was the move itself. Brett was a great lead and very accommodating, as was John. Both the move out and in we're flawless. Thanks

  The movers packed on a Friday and everything was delivered safely 600 miles away on Monday morning. Fragile items were handled accordingly and nothing was broken, including some antique lamps and crystal. Steve the driver/manager was friendly and efficient. I was hesitant to hire Allied after reading very mixed reviews, but they were thousands less than other companies and I ended up being very pleased. (There was some confusion at our old house and a few items did not make it into the truck, hence the 4 stars.)

  Sam the driver was great. The Packers were good but were scheduled to pack day 1 and 2, someone changed the schedule last minute and they packed day 1 and day 3. That meant they were packing and loading at the same time. That made for LOST items. Mis marked boxes etc. Not drivers fault. When we arrived, truck was on time, labor to unload was 4 hours late. The. Short handed and over worked. So they put things in the wrong places, dinged some walls and had a bad attitude. Again. Not drivers fault

  The service as awesome from start to finish. Expecially the man that delivered the furniture to my place. He was all alone, but carried all my furniture and boxes in very carefully. He had a excellent personality about putting things where I wanted them. If I was Allied, I’d never want him to leave!!

  Good service for the most part. I’d use them again. Had difficulty with a third part contractor that Allied had to get on to make sure they did the work we paid for. Lost a couple items that were small, but that was our fault!

  Experienced driver, excellent teams to work with on pack up and delivery. Edgar managed the move well and kept us informed. I would definitely recommend Allied and in particular Edgar and his team.

  Miranda at Berger Moving and Storage was terrific. She was attentive to my needs and questions, very helpful with a very nice disposition. Fernando, who was my driver and in charge of the moving crew was absolutely outstanding!! Not only did he do his job with skill and professionalism, but he was kind, understanding and extremely personable. If I used Allied in the future I would most definitely request Fernando. The company was dependable and made me feel completely comfortable that my move would go smoothly, and it did!!! I had heard horror stories regarding friends’ and others moves going terribly wrong, and I was worried. But Allied calmed my fears, as the quality of their services put me at ease. They’re a little more expensive than some other quotes I received from other moving companies, but it was worth every penny. They are a trusted and dependable company to work with and I thank them very much for their excellent service.

  Nothing is all good or bad but what was bad was pretty bad. Let me start with the good. Allied sent lots of people so they were done quickly. The team was friendly and courteous. The bad was the way they actually moved furniture. They gouged hardwood steps, took texture off the walls, rubbed fine furniture agains the walls so badly they will need to be refinished due to paint transfer. They were also less than careful with boxes. Thank goodness the unloading crew was much much better.

  The Augusta team for Allied/Coleman for the win! After obtaining multiple quotes, a rep came to our home for a walk through and provided a realistic, accurate quote (others underestimated load and low-balled numbers). Move was on time, every one along the way was professional and a single point of contact was provided along the way for our long distance move. Especially important for that one contact as I’m sure household goods and car had to change hands along the way. In the end, all was on time, on budget and no damage at all (though we are still unpacking!). Thank you to everyone who made this happen.

  Packing of the house was careful and efficient. We were pleasantly surprised that the truck arrived to the new home more quickly than expected. The driver, Travis, communicated often while in route. Travis was also patient and helpful during unloading. There were no surprises. I recommend Allied for interstate moves.

  Our experience with Allied, with all aspects of our move, was outstanding. When Darrell, the gentleman who provided the details and estimate of our move, was very informative and trustworthy. Our driver, Eric, was outstanding and worked very hard to make sure our belongings were packed and received in great shape. We would use Allied going forward in any future moves.

  The crews were very friendly. We did experience some broken items, mainly due to heavy items (glass bakeware) packed with delicate crystal, so that was apparently the issue there. We also had a large framed print, packed in a mirror box, where the glass was shattered. And we have not yet found a couple pieces, which I thought were wrapped, but may still be in a box. We will be filing a claim once we get thru all the remaining boxes.

  EXCEPT FOR THE EMPTYING DRAWERS ….both teams were great …. But … if you’d allow all loaders and delivery persons to be trained by TIMOTHY NORRIS … ALL drawers full would never present a problem (unless the truck/van were wrecked) … Timothy and his helper “Q” wrapped every piece of furniture like a priceless piece of precious possessions … you caused me to have approximately 20 extra boxes … and I’m sure my refund will be smaller than it should … NOW… it’s taking me much longer to empty boxes … yes…. I’m guilty of not giving away many items … again Timothy and “Q” were great …

  Every step of the way Coleman Allied was there. They packed our household goods for two days and stored them in their local warehouse for over two months while we searched for a new home in another state. When we were ready they found a driver (in a tough market) and delivered our goods to our home in the time they said they would, via a local Allied mover. Very happy with the ease of a cross country move.

  Bayshore Allied provided exceptional customer service and support from the estimator to the delivery driver. Their rates were competitive and their employees were courteous, hard-working and very service oriented. We had a large interstate move with many opportunities for things to go wrong but Bayshore made sure that everything went smoothly. I’m happy to recommend them.

  Great. Colin and Mike were efficient, professional, and very gentle with our belongings. We had a few items with sentimental value and they took extra care of them in the packing, losing, transport, and unloading. They also listened to where we wanted each item and were so nice throughout the entire process. We would hire them for every move if it was possible! Highly recommend Colin and Mike. They deserve pay raises.

  Moved out of state and both moving companies were great! All furniture and particularly art art work were wrapped up really well. Found only one small trinket broken (I packed boxes myself). Movers were friendly and very professional. I was VERY pleased that my things arrived early due to some out of the norm scheduling!!! Allied was the cheapest quote out of 4 places that I called in Illinois to move to Tennessee by a lot. Highly recommend
