  Great service I am an expat living in New York and after reading many good reports about this company I took the plunge and ordered a new Nikon camera kit. One week after the order I called to ask when it would be shipped and they said today. But before the confirmation email arrived it was delivered. very impressed, and they offer a wonderful service, you never wait more than a couple of rings when you phone. I shall definitely use them again - highly recommended.

  Rode VideoMicro shotgun mic This Rode microphone works beautifully with the GoPro , however you need to link it with the GoPro 3.5mm Mic Adapter for HERO3 / HERO3 / HERO4 . It needs just to be a little bit boosted in post production but it gives a pristine sound compared to the inboard microphone of the hero 4

  Vello Nikon F Lens This product is good for the most part. It most definitely gets the job done. The quality of the build is good and sturdy. The price is great for the product. My only gripe with this product is when trying to get the lens off the adapter can be difficult at times.

  If you buy Hasselblad 907X this Optical viewfinder is a must The picture advertising the viewfinder may look strange, real life its fantastic. Optics are great, GPS is very convenient.

  I am a spelunker (cave explorer) and take a lot of photographs in caves. The 8mm Rokinon Fisheye lens is an incredible product for the price I use this on a Black Magic Pocket 4k with a Metabones speedboster. Works great! I'm a big fan of Rokinon and Samyang now (same company). I will be looking at more lenses from them soon.

  42nd photo has great ideas transforming its business and its offering a great range of services. Unfortunately nothing seems to be coordinated nor it has got the infrastructure to do it . I ordered an item online and asked to collect from store. After waiting for 10 working days, this item not only has not arrived, but when I phoned up the store they said they have not received my order at all. I then phoned up the customer services line but it seems they are constrained at what they can actually do, the only advice from them is for me to phone the store again and they will do the investigation, which is not very helpful. I bought this as a present so I do require consistency in terms of when it will arrive, and if after 10 working days 42nd Photo still doesn't even know of my order, then there is a fundamental flaw there.

  This Yongnuo YN 50mm f/1.8 lens is great and is a perfect fit for my Nikon D 5300. And the service from 42nd St. Photo is super. I would recommend this lens for everyone who like to add a special touch on their photos.

  Good Product Cable release works great, albeit the lock can occasionally get stuck, preventing the plunger from getting pushed back out. Very helpful for minimizing camera movement.

  DJI Osmo Pocket Gimbal Best video quality, light, comfortable, battery is great, love it. A lot of accessories, very mobile, features are great, manual video mode, always with me. I highly recommend 42nd St PHOTO and Osmo pocket to anyone looking to upgrade their daily video taking.

  Outstanding service and value I recently purchased a Sigma fp L Director's Viewfinder Kit with PL-L Mount Converter from 42nd St PHOTO. I phoned the office before purchasing. I got straight through (no waiting) and the lady (Kate at the other end of the line was extremely helpful. I paid by debit card and the funds were taken from my account only when the camera was dispatched. We arranged a delivery date and the camera arrived by FedEx exactly as arranged. Outstanding. I will purchase again from 42nd St. PHOTO without hesitation. P.S. I love the camera!

  I have only used the Ride VideoMicro as a shotgun camera On my Canon EOS M6. I use the Rode NT-USB for Zoom and other applications with my MacBook Pro because laptop software usually require a USB microphone input. Rode NT-USB has excellent sound quality and I highly recommend it.

  I bought SmallRig 1241 Cold Shoe to add to my DJI Ronin SC which I got from 42nd PHOTO for a great price. I was able to mount my wireless mic (Rode Go Wireless ii also from 42nd Photo) and another piece of gear to my gimbal. Product is high quality!!! Upping my mobile run and gun rig game is always important to me, these small additions offered great advance options.

  42nd Photo's Shipping is Amazing! 42nd Photo has been a valuable partner with our organization's drone technicians. Their staff is knowledgeable and easy to work with. We crashed a drone in a super remote area of Arizona while on a documentary shoot. 42nd Photo got a replacement to us in 12 hours. We couldn't even get our crew to that location in that amount of time. Amazing!

  Always Reliable I've been buying film and video gear from 42photo since the mid-80's and I've never been disappointed. Once in a blue moon they're closed when you might want them open, but I respect them for that, too. If you're ever near their New York store it's worth stopping in.... amazing operation.

  PTZOptics PT20X-SDI We live stream our services at our church with 4 cameras. We use this camera mounted under the balcony to get a straighter shot of the pastor and remote control it from the live stream computer area. Not sure of the distance off hand, but we can get a pretty good head shot.

  AT2020USB Solid Perfomer I bought this Audio Technica mic and it got shipped on time from 42nd PHOTO as usual. Even during this crazy pandemic they were able to get it out. I was looking to switch from the typical gamer headset, and the switch to this has been positive. Easy to setup and easy to figure out. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a podcast setup.

  Tele vue is a good product. I observed more objects in each field because the field of view is broader. Andromeda galaxy became visible and blue snowball nebula became significant with this eyepiece. The image quality is certainly better and observation is more enjoyable. Lumicon UHC Gen3 filter fits it easily but the views of nebulas are not much better with the filter when compared with unfiltered view. Cheers, Jill

  I was only here for about 10 minutes as I came to pick up a camera I had ordered online. Service was friendly. I was a little surprised at the lack of choice in store for camera cases. 42nd Photo missed an opportunity to upsell although they found me one which does the job.

  Their customer support sucks. They sometimes ship demo or customer returns as new items (believe it). Quality of packaging varies from excellent to pathetic. Typical condescending NY attitude. If it weren't for their pricing advantage and large catalog I wouldn't shop here.

  Their website seems to show things in stock that aren't. I ordered something a month ago. Hadn't arrived, follow up email took a week to reply to tell me they don't have it and prob wont for a very long time but offer me an inferior product and half as much of it and wont charge me any extra I wonder if I ever would have heard anything or received what I paid for if I hadn't followed up.

  Purchased a printer and the some Epson ink kits.....only to have the ink kit backordered...so now I have a big expensive paperweight - if I had known the print kit was going to go backorder...I'd have not bought the new expensive boat anchor........am a bit annoyed about that. Had to order ANOTHER expensive printer... I asked this time if the paper was in stock and was told it is....... if the paper kit goes back order...I'm going to refuse delivery and demand my money back...and I will post every where I can that 42nd PHOTO is a waste of time and money.

  Better than expected The DJI RSC2 is a workhorse. I had the gimbal out today for several hours. The battery is amazing. I went through 3 batteries in my camera while using the gimbal, but the gimbal's battery was still at 75%! Excellent product, great service

  42nd PHOTO - an amazing source of accurate information. I've just resumed photography after a 30 year lull. While I'm currently buying mostly used equipment, I get most of my key details from 42nd St. PHOTO. So, when I expand my kit for birding (e.g. Tamron SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD), I plan to buy it from 42nd PHOTO. I've purchased the newly released Vario-Summilux 25-50mm f/1.7 at a very good price.

  42nd PHOTO are the experts you can count on When I shop on the 42nd PHOTO website I know that I can get premium merchandise at the best price. Yes. They even beat bandhphotovideo.com. However, B&H reviews are helpful, but you never know how qualified the viewers are. At 42nd PHOTO the reviewers know what they're talking about, and 42nd PHOTO only carries the best stuff.

  Amazing Camera & Support D850 was back ordered for a while but I was kept updated on progress. D850 is an excellent camera. Image detail is amazing! Have been customer of 42nd Photo since the early 1990s and have appreciated the knowledgeable support teams and sales agents. Visiting the retail store in New York is amazing. We called them several times and the sale staff are all very knowledgeable and helpful so eventually we followed their suggestions and picked up the right product.   Used to love coming here to get my 35mm film developed however I believe just recently they’ve increased their prices (an extra $4 per roll) and now it’s one of the more expensive places that I know of that develops and scans film. Their amazing prices and turn around time was good while it lasted ☹️

  Simple and portable view of the sun This CORONADO 800mm f/8.8 Solar Viewing Refractor is a light, simple and fast to set up and very portable device for viewing the sun. The telescope is light and the tripod is adequate If I were going to use it in my backyard then I would probably use one of my more solid camera tripods. Good value for an introductory Solar scope

  I am a Canon shooter, but looking for a new, lighter camera, a friend directed me to the Sony A7iii with a 28mmF2 and to 42nd PHOTO and its owner, Jonathan Blaxland. Recently, I met with Jonathan and explained my background, and then got into what I was looking for. What ensued was absolutely what I needed - a very patient, extremely knowledgeable camera expert and someone who was primarily interested in serving my needs and insuring that whatever choice I made would be the perfect one for me. And that's exactly what happened. Jonathan and I spent 2 hours going over all the possibilities for a new camera, with a focus (at my request) on the a7iii. Jonathan left me with no doubt that his interest was on me, my needs and my preferences, as well as my level of experience in photography. There was absolutely no pressure to make a quick decision. If you are looking to buy a camera, or looking to simply broaden your photographic knowledge, Jonathan is the person to speak to.
