  I am very satisfied with the camera and the help from 42nd during and after the purchase. Fantastic! 42nd's inventory and value are untouched, I ordered this Sony A7RIIIA camera as a replacement and paid only about half of what the first one cost me. Getting a bag, battery, and memory card was a real bonus. 42nd was super easy to order from, shipped fast and everything was packaged great.

  Had excellent help and service when choosing new MacBook laptop BUT when I collected the item, a different "assistant" was trying to foist extra (unnecessary) kit, also suggesting I should pay $160 to let them set it up and was quite bullying in his attitude. I got the lap top home and it took me less than half an hour to set up, also updated to Windows 11 by the click of a button. No extra kit required. Don't be pressurised into buying all the alleged extras.

  The Tamron 28-200mm lens is pretty lightweight and even fully extended it doesn't stress the mount or cause an imbalance where a tripod lens collar would be needed.

  Purchasing my 1st ever Hasselblad! After shopping around online, I decided on 42nd St Photo to purchase my first Medium-Format camera. In stock, they had a Hasselblad 907X 50C at an ebullient-competitive market price. So for the price, it was hard to pass up this great deal! It was a great experience for me shopping online with 42nd St Photo. For a camera of this calibre, I spoke with a customer service representative to get background information regarding this particular digital medium format camera. The gentleman I spoke with was pleasant & helpful, which I always appreciate. I am very pleased with the pictures I have taken so far. I am looking at a few other lenses to add to this package as I like a variety for different purposes. The photos I have taken are very clear. I took a gamble with standard shipping and ended up receiving the package a day early (shipping from NY to AZ) with plenty of time to learn the camera before using it on a shoot. Kudos to the team at 42nd St Photo! Overall, I enjoyed my experience doing business with 42nd St Photo and look forward to making another future purchase with 42nd Photo soon.

  I spoke to John at 42nd St Photo about collimation of my Dobosian Telescope. He told me it's unlikely that I'll be able to get into the optics as they are sealed. But suggested I had nothing to lose so give them a sharp knock on the prism that I think may be out. It worked! Would recommend John!

  Just a Rodenstock eShutter X-Adapter Cable, but buy with confidence I'm just buying an X-adapter cable today, but I can do so with confidence that when 42nd Photo says it's compatible with my camera, it will be and it will work fine. I've been a customer for years and won't shop anywhere else.

  Exactly what I was looking for Matterport MC250 Pro2 camera is very easy to setup with the app and it looks great! Performs better than expected for real estate virtual tours. 42nd St Photo shipped it very quick and secure. I purchased this camera new from 42nd. As always, fast service from Jonathan the Manager. 42nd Photo always has them in stock, and is the only place in NYC where you can pick one up locally. The square trade insurance is great too

  I am new the photography realm, and bought this camera hoping that I wouldn't be over my head. The Canon EOS 60D is in many ways a great camera: fast, feature-packed, and with excellent photo and video quality. This is a great camera store with diverse options for the beginner, and also has room to progress as a photographer.   Nikon D5100 Camera Kit I upgraded from the Nikon D3000 digital SLR camera to the D5100. I am very happy with additional options on this camera, which includes video and a night vision scene setting. Can't wait to use them this Christmas!   Christmas cameras for kids I can always find my photo needs at 42nd PHOTO. This time, I was looking for cameras for my kids aged 9 and 10. Found a "Veritable" camera - not toys - in 2 different colours so they can tell them apart - don't want them arguing over who's is who's! Decent specs, and the accessory kit has a nice protective camera case.

  42nd St Photo is a brilliant company and I'm pleased to live near enough to Manhattan to be able to go to the showroom. The staff are really knowledgeable and helpful and nothing's too much trouble.   I needed an underwater housing that would fit my Olympus VR-370 and Stylus 820. The Polaroid Waterproof Camera Housing (Zoom Lens Capable) is compatible with cameras that are smaller than 5 x 3.5 x 2.5 . It did fit. But the zoom is too limited.

  The autofocus on the Panasonic AG-AC30 is capable of tracking fast moving subjects. I use this camera as a nice, light-weight hand-held during concerts and for a rear master shot of dramatic stage productions. Video quality is great as long as you have sufficient light. Low light has been a problem for me. Delivery was spot on, picked a day and was sent a short time slot by text.

  Not as described I would have liked to have given 5 stars for my order which was easy to place and arrived at the advised time. However...The kit was as expected except for a Rode VideoMic Go external microphone which, according to the website description, came with the windshield included. The pictures showed the Mic equipped with the Rode Dead Cat Go. The description didn’t exclude this particular windshield. The mic didn’t arrive with the Dead Cat and customer services confirmed it was a previous free offer which is no longer available. As this misrepresents the product I asked for the website to be updated and this been done. I will use 42nd Photo again but disappointed on this occasion

  I am a novice to photography but had read the reviews on this Pentax 31mm f1.8 lens. First, 42nd Photo delivered the lens in a timely fashion that required my signature. They wanted to make sure I received it. Second, it was well packaged. Finally, the lens is as advertised. I have taken several pictures with it and the photos are tremendous! I can only imagine how good my pictures will get as I improve in understanding lighting, camera settings, etc. Thanks 42nd Photo!

  A solid camera. Excellent for the experienced photographer. I am an experienced photography. The D780 is a solid camera and a great bang for the price. The Nikon D780 DSLR Camera features an extremely effective silent shutter mode. The D780 is very good for astro, it has a high iso setting that is ideal for nighttime shooting. 42nd St Photo was very helpful in answering my questions and helping me decide what the right choices for me were.   Exemplary customer service I've bought two lenses from 42nd PHOTO. On both occasions, their customer service was excellent. With the second lens there was a problem with the lens hood and this was solved quickly and efficiently. Once you've ordered something, 42nd PHOTO keep you informed about the progress of your order and shipping speed was exactly as described. Their communications with me on the phone and in emails have been friendly and professional. From my experience, I would have no hesitation in recommending them. This is how it should be done.

  Really pleased! I found an unusual (Canon tilt-shift) lens. These are never cheap, but the price was fair considering I bought it from a dealer. It arrived the next day, super-fast delivery, and the condition was exactly as described. Also, because it was an expensive item the credit card company held the payment. There was no issue on 42nd St Photo' side with this either. They were friendly, fast and professional. 10 out of 10.

  Very well stocked shop, on the optics and camera bodies treated has practically all the items available! And if an article of theirs is not immediately available in the store (in Manhattan), in a few days they get it from the other offices / warehouses of their chain. Very serious and professional staff. The offer of backpacks and bags is also excellent. Highly recommended!

  I ordered the Fujifilm XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR lens to use on a Xprp2 and the lens carries the camera, is a heavy robust lens. That being said it is a superb piece of glass and has become my lens of choice for close in street images where a moderate wide angle and telephoto zoom is required. This lens is also great in terms of clarity, focus, and size. I'm very happy with both lenses and the camera combo. The image quality is great, but the trade off is size and weight. I love the lens.

  Tiffen 72mm Variable Neutral Density Filter I use mine on the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 and it's been very helpful. However with all my efforts, I couldn't find a good solution to add a hood to the lens. The only option I could find is using a cinema matte box that sits on rails. When the flaring gets really bad, I've jerry rigged a flag or hood out of tape before with gaff tape. Doesn't look that great but it certainly does the job!

  Normally very happy with 42nd Photo, however on this occasion I bought a second hand item and the basket said that the total price included tax. It was only when I'd bought the item and got the invoice that it said that there was no tax on second hand items. This meant that the total cost ended up being 20% more than I thought it was going to be. Not happy. They told me that there was notification of no tax on second hand goods on their site, but not that I saw. And anyway, their basket said that the total included tax.

  What an incredibly helpful chap Jonathan is. Rang up with a DJI Fly app problem, and even though I hadn't bought the drone from them, he couldn't have been more helpful. Problem now solved. It's good to find a shop wit staff prepared to help, rather than just sell boxes as so many do these days. I'll be back.

  42nd St Photo and PTZ Optics-A1! Website ordering was smooth, prices are very competitive, I have already made other purchases from 42nd St PHOTO. We use it at our church for our live streaming webcast. The color is so beautiful and they were so easy to set-up. They make the old camera that we still have in use look poor. Looks like I will be installing a third camera before much longer. Thanks 42nd St. PHOTO for the great response in acquiring these for us. PTZ Optics customer service is also excellent.

  1st class delivery and Customer Service I wanted to buy a Nikon D3500 and everywhere had sold out in the Christmas period. After a web search 42nd St PHOTO came up with the best price. As I required the camera within 5 days of going on holiday I phoned them (Jonathan) assured me my camera would arrive within a few days. I was nervous about it arriving on time but I had nothing to worry about. The camera arrived on time. I can’t comment on the camera yet as I’m just a beginner in the process of familiarizing with it Thank you Jonathan!

  Fantastic to deal with, very helpful and genuine. I'd rather purchase from a local store served by professionals than a large chain or on-line retailer as the advice and service that the 42nd St PHOTO offer was second to non, and at no time did I feel under pressure to buy. The prices were no more than other retailers and I'm happy that supporting our small businesses keep the personal service alive. I'll certainly return in future as I add to my photography gear.

  Great for Novice's & Beginnners I have never owned a Telescope before so was nervous about getting the right one. This Celestron 80LCM refractor was not only VERY EASY to set up, but VERY POWERFUL for a novice like myself. Have viewed large planets and their moons. My son is amazed at the view of Europa. The unit arrived on time and in good condition. The team at 42nd PHOTO was a pleasure to work with.

  D3500 is great for an amateur photographer This camera is easy to use and takes great photos. I got everything I needed to start. The easiest path is to call 42nd PHOTO and speak to an expert, they'll help you get all the extras you need. They talk in layman's terms and are knowledgeable .

  Viltrox AF 85mm f/1.8 Z Lens for Nikon Z6 II First Viltrox lens that I got and I have no complains about it! Amazing! I've been wanting a 85mm lens and this baby got me. Would definitely look for more on Viltrox. The price was very reasonable.

  The X7 system is a giant step forward in aerial cinematography. The X7 is currently only compatible with the Inspire 2 aircraft and there is no handheld unit for it. In Zenmuse X5R camera, Memory card slot is inside camera. So we can use it in Osmo handle. But in the Zenmuse X7 camera memory card slot and DNG Raw recording is happening inside the craft not in the camera.

  We have ordered a GoPro HERO10 through the online store. The website said 30 day delivery, and I am not know for my patience plus I had a shoot coming up where I would have preferred to use my upgraded camera rather than my old one... so I gave them a call to see if there is a way to get it quicker. The guys from the 42nd St Photo store were beyond helpful and luckily there was one left in stock. Just waiting for the delivery now. The buying process was easy and straightforward. I am always happy with the service I get from our local 42nd Photo shop, I had bought several lenses from there. All in all a fantastic experience and I cannot recommend them more

  Leica M-21 Excellent product, not too heavy, slim, very accurate with a clear view. As usual, Leica is thinking about many aspects before to put a product on the market and it's still the case for this one. Expensive but it works very well.
