  A couple of days ago, I came across this used Canon 1D Mark IV in near mint condition at a price that's roughly 30% the cost of newer models and I'm not disappointed with this purchase. I shoot indoor variety games such as high school basketball in low light gyms and I can strongly recommend the 1D Mark IV for high speed action photography in all conditions after using it for a week. I was fortunate to pick up one of the last, new in box, samples of this magnificent camera at a steal price!!! And last but not least, 42nd PHOTO has premium quality, plus there's always a professional that can help you to take the right decision. I really appreciate that. Don't hesitate to ask questions

  I've never ordered here again but item was as described. Ordered online and transaction went very smoothly. Delivery was prompt. The Camera is Pentax K-3 Mark Il| DSLR.   The X-T5 is a great entrant to my XT series fleet. I wanted an upgrade from XT-2, the XT-5 I pre-ordered from 42photo has been a godsend as I can still use my x-mount lenses; Fuji XF 18-55 and 55-200. It came with all accessories, battery, power adapter, USB cable, headphone adaptor, shoulder strap, body cap, hot shoe and a Limited one-year warranty from Fujifilm. Noise performance is incredible. Thank you 42photo for helping with the purchase and SO far I'm pleased with the quality of the camera.

  Very Happy with Pentax & 42PHOTO is the Best. After talking to professional photographers and friends, I finally got this Pentax K-1 Mark II and a 28-105mm lens. I went into 42PHOTO in the morning with the intention of purchasing a Nikon D610. After holding the K-1 in my hands, it's intuitive LCD display and Wi-Fi marked the end of my quest. It takes fabulous pictures and is very easy to use, lightweight and solidly constructed. I must add that I have never dealt with a better company than 42PHOTO, Jonathan the salesman also added a filter and SDXC card to boot! Every question was taken care of promptly and they resolved any error without reluctance. l 'Il always buy from them in future.

  First impressions create long lasting memories about a company's core values and level of customer service.   Outstanding Lifelong Investment from 42nd Street Photo I first rented the lens from 42nd Photo and I got a sense of fulfilment in it I wanted to own it. Great lens for distant wildlife, motor sports and birds. lt's lighter than my Sigma lenses and it arrived exactly as what I wanted. Purchase from 42nd Photo may not be the cheapest but everything is predictable, packing, delivery, etc. Warmest of recommendations:-)

  Excellent Aftercare service & Follow-up service! I purchased the wrong fluid head for my tripod unit. Was contacted before my item actually posted to confirm the suitability of the item. Turned out the head was incompatible with my Manfrotto tripod. I was given a couple of other suitable options. Finally selected a Sirui VA-5 head, this is a major shift moving away from Amazon cheap products to 42nd Street Photo quality. Great sales &control logistics ensured I had the right part before it shipped!!

  I am an amateur photographer, I grabbed Sony a6000 and 55-210 lens, an affordable but powerful camera for far away shots It was delivered in only a few days and it included everything said it would. 42photo.com offered a great deal including an extra battery, USB cable, memory card etc. in a one-off discounted sale.   Do not buy! I have bought a Nikon d5600 camera it arrived in a box that didn't even hold the camera in as the side was torn off..not only that it came in a box advertising a different camera! It's a gift for Xmas so I asked them to just send me the correct box so that I could put it in( after they reassured me the camera was new- I did have my doubts) they are now refusing to send a box out until I return the box it comes in ( why they want a broken box is beyond me) and to top it all say it may not be here for Xmas so that means a gift with no box at all!

  Absolutely awful auto emails Made an account and if you leave something in your basket, they send spam emails over the course of a few days reminding you to purchase. 1) you should only send an email reminding to purchase if you’re going to offer a small discount as a reason to email.. otherwise, the purchase has clearly not been made because it was cheaper elsewhere. 2) you shouldn’t be sending multiple emails of this nature, one is more than sufficient

  Have bought from 42 street the D7500 came not packaged very well, the box was dented at the base and looked liked it had been on the shelf for ages. But what really upset me there was no user manual with the camera, thus i had to go online every time to check procedures. This is bad, how can one use a new camera without the manual, and not everyone has a computer, 42 street should have mentioned this to me before shipment. I did speak to a male at 42 street and in fairness to him he did say when the manuals come in he would send me one. Im not happy with them and the attitude speaking to them on the phone. Looks like i will be buying else where from now on.

  I paid for a canon 75-300 lens but it turns out that 42 street do not carry stock, they take your money and order up items as and when the customer buys them. This is bad distance selling practice, money should be taken on delivery or possibly despatch using tracked carriage. From a previous attempted purchase I know this lens is very unlikely to be available unless 42 street holds stock so the order was cancelled. But the refund takes 1-3 days to process. I should add communication with the customer services team was good.

  Non-USA Nikon products -No Manufacturer warrant- No disclaimer The products are imported from china. I bought a rebel t7 with lense 18-55 warranty 2, yr which normally comes with 2 years warranty by canon. I contacted canon to schedule a repair and was told it is a "non-US" model, so not covered by them. I called 42 street and they confirmed that the store is based in the US but the products are from the Far East. They then claimed that camera are covered by a one year warranty. When I was buying the camera ($600.99 vs $550.00 on Amazon-so NOT a bargain). There was no such disclaimer. So I definitely feel conned.

  Make no mistake, they are re-selling grey imports from overnight setting but this is (just) covered by their lies where they say the name of the supplier will be on the invoice. There is nothing else on their site to suggest that they are not CE marked Europe Goods. My camera body came boxed as a "Kit" with the lens removed. This may be OK given their low prices but be sure you know what you are getting in to.

  Junkyard camera store!!! The website didn't clearly state that an EOS R6II that I purchased was a used item so I assumed it was new. Within 20 minutes of receiving the camera the following were noticed: (1) a mark between the shutter, (2) an anomaly between the screen panel and the case approx. 1 inch below left corner, (3) a mark on the back of the camera, and (4) a couple of deep marks/dots that looked like dirt initially but they do not come off. (Other observation: the plug is an camera two pinned plug with grey UK adapter. A lot of marks on the original box so not something you’d buy as a present. Longer wait on delivery compared to other retailers).

  This place is a sham. I originally purchased what I thought was a authentic US version camera only to find on the bottom of the 4th tab on their page it stated "import version". Not being a camera professional, I thought all things are imported. I signed up for a credit card through their website and paid for the camera. After which, I found that this was a gray market camera which I did not want. I canceled my order and took a ding on my credit score because of this. I left a bad review. 42photo contacted me and said they had a non gray market camera that they would send me at the same price as long as I changed my review, so I did. 42photo sent me a gray market camera anyway. Additionally, the took a camera & lens package deal, opened the box, took the lens out and sent just the camera. The box that states, along with the serial #, that it includes a camera lens. Now every time I turn on the camera I am notified that I am not running in the default configuration and that I must accept it prior to using the camera!. I've spent hours researching this and there is no way to stop it

  TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE I had purchased a Nikon z9 and lens ftz ii adapter bundle. I had issues with the autofocus so I filed for a return and sent back both considering I had bought them in a bundle. Upon review their return center stated I had bent pins on the motherboard and they couldn't do the return. So I thought "ok I will just fix it myself or buy a new one if I can't" thinking that it was just a couple bent pins in one of the connectors. However, after a week I still had not received my items back. I called and they said they'd email me a tracking number within 24 hours. I got no email. A day or 2 after the supposed email should've arrived. My package arrived. I opened it to find my camera severely damaged. Way worse than I definitely sent it back as. Then to further dissatisfy me with this experience I got the box for the camera back but the camera is no longer in it. I don't know where it went but you can believe I am beyond livid. I will never be buying from 42Photo again. This was overall a terrible experience and I don't look forward to the ordeal of getting this figured out.

  I went on Amazon and saw a great price on a lens that I knew was going to be a gray market version. I called their direct number and asked them to confirm that it was in stock (like the website showed) and that it would be mailed right away. They confirmed that it was in stock and it would ship within 48-72 hours of my order. They told me the best way to order it was online. I placed the order online and received a call the next day telling me that it was not the US version and that they needed to order it from their "European warehouse". I asked if it was in stock at their warehouse in Europe and his response was that he had no idea. They would let me know if 4-5 weeks of when it would ship. Believe the reviews on this one and do not order from them online. If the price is to good to be true, it's because it is

  The most ignorant and disrespectful communication one can have with the customer. The Fujifilm camera body was not delivered to the mentioned address, and 42photo does not care to respond to my quiries - simply sends denials to claims without any explanation. FedEx 'proof of delivery' is an empty document without indication of the address where the item was delivered. The only thing the shop says is 'the order is delivered and we cannot do anything'. DELIVERED? WHERE TO? This is nonsence! I am not leaving this issue, I will make sure that the relevant authorities are informed and deal with this case. I paid around 2K USD for the product and will take all possible steps to get back my money or the ordered new product. - and again I received the same answer to this review as well… it is a nonsense to ground on a document showing that the item was delivered to Miami… I have filed a claim to FedEx asking to provide the GPS proof and they are dealing with this currently. Although this should be the function of the shipper. It is easy to thank for nice comments but when your customer has a problem here the real face of the seller reveals. I would expect the support of the seller in such situation.

  Avoid on eBay & Amazon too!!! This is a bait and switch, selling the European gray market camera (no US warranty) instead of the US version. With the threat of a 20% restocking fee they then try to switch the order for a much higher price US version that they don't list on their website and I'm not sure they can even supply. They agreed to price match which I authorized, but they charged a higher amount. If you accept the package, you are stuck if something is wrong, so be sure to check their policy with regard to ensuring the package is not damaged and camera operable before accepting. You have the option with UPS to decline the package, but beware they send it without a signature required. I had the same experience as many others. Jonathan or Johnson yelled at me and made threats. All calls go back to the same person, so don't expect to speak with a supervisor because he said he is a supervisor. I will make sure to check a company's reviews from now on.

  Brazenly crooked camera bait and switch. Advertised the lowest price on Canon eos r6ii Kit on AMAZON Prime Shopping. I placed the order on Sunday and paid extra for 1 Day Air and got confirmation email. Received phone call from representative on Monday that the camera that I ordered in an "international version" and I will have to pay extra for the US version. They also told me that the camera will arrive on Friday even though I paid $31 extra for 2 day air shipping. Nowhere on their web page did it state that the camera they are selling is an international version (grey market). Stay, FAR, FAR away from this company on AMAZON extremely dishonest business with shady practices unless you want to get burned on your purchase.

  The classic bait and switch con job. I ordered a camera on their website priced for $1879, a day later they call and said the order I placed was for the "European colour gray" - which was an indiscriminate lie, the camera doesn't change based on which color is given. Also, their website only had a price for this lens, which never disclosed it was grey market. They said the "US Model" was $1199, which was the same price as any other retailer. I said I wouldn't want the lens at that price, then I was told, "There may be some rebates Sony is offering on this, let me check." In reality, the dude checked with Mr. Jonathan who magically dropped the price by $100 dollars. I still decided to cancel my order, that magically led to another $50 price decrease. A complete and utter scam, sounds like other reviewers had the same experience. Don't even entertain this sham as an option. Also, they write all their own 5 star reviews - what person would give them a 5 star review? An employee??

  This business will scam you! I was looking for a Canon eos r6ii online and according to google this place had the best price and had a 4 star review. I was pleased to be saving around $800 and took a chance. The site promises 1-2 day free shipping and the camera was in stock. Three days later I received a phone message from someone at the store wanting to confirm my order. I’ve been ordering online since the invention of the internet and have never received a call wanting to confirm my order, which raised a red flag. Before returning the call I started to check yelp reviews and the BBB. I was not surprised when I read similar stories which warned of additional charges and bait and switch techniques. I then called this business and asked for the status of my order. The man on the phone assured me my order was ready to be shipped out via UPS and said all he needed was confirmation that I would approve of a signature required on delivery. What business sends a $2000 camera and doesn’t require a signature? I informed him he send it via UPS how ever they normally sent out cameras of that value but he insisted I consent authorizing a signature (at which point the conversation ended). I then received an e-mail saying the camera was out of stock. Wait the estimated 4-6 weeks or cancel my order. Shop at your own risk.

  Unfair customer treatment. I received disrespect from a sales associate (Silvio). He got frustrated at me asking detailed questions about DSLR. After making the complaint, I found out my name was in a negative light with the company. I was told I can buy from them but can’t return. I made returns due to their items being defective and I assume they felt it hurt their business. It seems I was then targeted for this. The senior manager specially stated “While I understand you are sighting an unusual circumstance, we are not blocking you from making any purchases. We are only stating that if you decide to make a purchase we will not refund or exchange any purchases for any reason. This would include defective, damaged in transit, etc.’”

  Same bait and switch tactic as everyone else experienced. Placed my order, and then received an email saying I needed to call their representative, Graham, to answer a few questions. I did, and he asked what camera body I’d be using with the lens I was ordering. He then explained that I’d ordered the international version of the lens (this wasn’t noted anywhere in the product description) and that it wouldn’t be able to autofocus if attached to my camera body... but of course the domestic version would be able to autofocus, and it would come with a warranty, for just $450 more. Ray blatantly lied; international versions of lenses are the exact same product as the domestic version, and the autofocus wouldn’t have been an issue. I cancelled my order and he lost a $1050 sale. Do NOT shop here unless you’re fine with dishonesty and shady business tactics.

  I was looking at had a ding in the frame. Once I made my choice, the salesman let me know that they would be preparing my camera. I paid my money and walked out. A couple of blocks away I decided to pull out the camera and take a photo. I looked down and noticed the ding in the frame! He had sold me the display model without telling me! I went back and announced that I had been under the impression that he was selling me a brand new camera. He seemed a little embarrassed and got me a new one. Beware of this dishonest establishment! I don't care how long they say they have been in business!

  Poor delivery and refund experience I had read good reviews of the shop and ordered $3000 worth of equipment for a business. I offered to come pick it up from the shop but was told not to worry and it will be delivered by noon next day. Next day no delivery, and i had a gig coming up. They copied the the address wrong, would not give me a refund, and if i wanted to order again and to come pick it up it will be another $3K and they will process the refund when Fedex returned items to them...really bad service and follow up!
