  Having bought a Nikon Z6 II camera from 42nd street photo because it was slightly cheaper than elsewhere, I was latter disappointed when the the shutter was stuck in the closed position about a month later, I found it particularly poor that they denied the request of replacing the camera immediately without even looking into the matter or accepting return of the item to assess it.

  Nothing but happiness with this purchase. I researched for the best DSLR and In my search on this website, I came across the Canon 80D. I went ahead and ordered it and They packed the camera very well and safely. I loved how the shipment looked detailed and also the package arrived one day before the estimated date.   The Website was easy to use and pretty straight forward. The phone was answered immediately and the guy who I spoke to was very helpful indeed. My order was delivered exactly as expected and the Panasonic AG-UX90 camera is great. I bought the camera to film wildlife trips. I had been filming with Go-pros and smartphones and Compared to that, this camera is UNBELIEVABLE. Overall I would highly recommend 42nd street photo.

  Easy warranty repair process Bought a camera (EOS 6D Mk II) in 2020. It developed a fault in October 2021 (push rod failure, very common in 6D Mk II). Phoned 42ND PHOTO, explained the issue, they immediately gave me the address to send the camera to for repair, and advised it could take two weeks. Got the camera back 13 days later, it would have been even quicker but their was some confusion with the return address. Can't fault them, was a very easy process.

  Perhaps it should have been 5 stars! Recently ordered a Canon R6 together with an EF-RF mount converter. R6 received but mount converter out of stock. Was able to change mount converter for an alternative brand after a short phone call so everything is fine now. Having checked other suppliers (including Canon) everyone seems to be out of stock of this item so perhaps the rating should have been 5*.

  Used Hasselblad Lunar Brown Leather 18-55mm 16mm double lens kit Placed order/part ex changed Olympus camera/lenses in April, received Hasselblad Lunar/18-55mm lens on the 16-2-22. Was not expecting the above till early next year. Was aware of the global problems & factory fire so expected even further delay. Received email on Friday 9 late afternoon that the goods had arrived & to contact 42nd PHOTO to arrange for delivery. Would have given 5 stars, but lack of regular/monthly communication/updates from 42nd Photo. Very pleased with the camera/lens kit, will now go out & enjoy.

  They had a low shutter count D750 at a good price and went for it. Very pleased with the camera except for one thing. Unlike the much older D700, The sensor was dirty, covered in marks. I thought buying from a reputable company the sensor would have been cleaned, but apparently not this time.

I walked two laps around the store and was ready to purchase.. was not greeted or even acknowledged by the staff. Big fan of the BH Manhattan store. I'll continue my shopping there instead.

  42nd St. PHoto' has the best website, I sincerely appreciate all of the information, especially the reviews for all of the products and their daily specials are a very addictive way to help separate me from my money, but what is money good for anyways if you can't spend it on Nikon cameras (D750 and Z6), Nikon (14-24) and Tamron (70-200 f/2.8 and 150-600) lenses , and accessories (SB-700)...and soon a DJI Mavic Pro, Nikon D850, and Macbook Pro. I have been very happy with the refurbished and used equipment. I think it's about time I sold my obsolete items (Nikon D5600, Tamron 70-210 f/4, etc.) so I can buy that D850.

  Visited the store, bought through the website When I was in New York City, I stopped by and talked to a very knowledgeable associate about what DSLR video stabilizer would be a good match for my camera and use. I got to handle it and get advice on using it. Once I decided to purchase it, I bought it through the website so quickly and easily that it made me a little nervous to be able to spend that kind of money so easily. It will be here in two days and I can't wait! I know that what I'm getting is just what I need.

  Went there the other day to look at M10-R and a 35mm f/2 summicron, there was only one assistant in the whole of the top floor with at least 6 couples waiting. Not good, went down to customer services and whilst waiting in the queue an assistant completely ignored us and pushed another customer ahead of us in the queue. We were not happy. Once he realized what he had done when we spoke up he apologized but his attitude when doing so was not sympathetic and quite aggressive. This needs addressing as it was very disrespectful.

  Bought a Venus Optics Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2X Ultra Macro APO lens. Very pleased with purchase and very competitive on price. Haven't used to full potential yet but so far impressed with the quality. Seems very well made, is quite heavy but will get used to it. Very fast and efficient next day delivery. Will definitely use again.

  Goods received quickly. Have chosen Nikon-proprietary battery this time despite price because I had trouble before with non Nikon-proprietary batteries on another camera at sub zero temperatures. The QXD reader was necessary to update camera firmware; pictures also transfer very quickly to pc.

  42nd PHOTO is the only place I buy online for all My camera needs. They are fast and reliable & the best price and service. Just ordered a new Leica RC-SCL4 Remote Release Cable. Had to order because of over $100.00 in 42nd's E-Rewards Loyalty Card. Cant let them reward cards expire. LOL

  Works well, expensive It works well but is overpriced in the US - not a 42nd PHOTO fault, something Leica is doing. If you are traveling to UK or Europe, maybe shop for one there.

  Sound advice great to deal with I'm only starting to dip my toe into the world of photography so was unsure what camera to get. I had been given advice but after asking 42nd Photo they confirmed the type of camera I should start out with. Within a couple of days the Canon EOS 2000D camera was delivered right to my front door. I also used gift vouchers which the folks and 42nd Photo were able to sort out and simplify for me. I'll be back knocking on their door for more advice over the coming years.

  Industrial & Multi-Purpose Cameras I've bought stuff while on holiday in N.Y. and have used the website to order online when back in Europe. The store is a veritable Aladdin's cave to visit and has EVERYTHING you need. Awesome! Likewise the website. It just has anything you are searching for. I recently moved my business to here , even though it’s out of my way because of another city centre camera shop acting quite condescending to me and to other female film photographers. 42nd's treat everyone’s with such respect regardless of gender/ expertise and photography level.   I ordered a Nikon Coolpix P1000 bridge camera. The item arrived in a rather shabby box bearing stickers reminding me that it was a refurbished product. On examination it appeared to be brand new and unmarked. There was no memory card supplied so it was several days before I could try it out. I was surprised that the electronic viewfinder was so small and produced such a blurry image. The main camera screen wasn't much better. Instruction leaflets that came with the camera were of little use as they were out of date. The camera claims to have wi-fi capability but it does not support current versions of Apple software which I use. The camera can only link with other devices via a USB connection. I bought the camera because I the wanted wireless facility and a decent view finder. It has failed on both counts.

  Canon EOS 6D Mark II DSLR Camera Body with Accessory Kit I have had my EOS 6D Mark II for just over a year now and even after that year, I still wholeheartedly recommend it, whether you're a pro or advanced amateur/hobbyist/enthusiast. For me what's important is the camera arrived in pristine, brand new condition from the other side of the world. So hats off to 42nd Photo.

  I live in Canada and I started purchasing from 42nd Photo when I saw a tripod that had no Canadian retailer for. So I placed the order with the free shipping (over 100 USD purchase) and paid for the customs clearance and GST payment service they offer. I was shocked to receive the product 4 calendar days later.   Thanks Warren Walked down to 42nd PHOTO in New York to look at a Canon M6 mark II and some accessories. I talked to Jonathan about other options but ended up getting the M6 from them because, Jonathan had been very helpful, they had every thing I wanted in stock, I could hold and get a feel of the camera, no waiting for a courier and they came close to the online price from the other retailers.
