  Excellent experience all round. The telephoto lens I received was precisely what I had bought, and it arrived on time. When asking inquiries, the salesperson was very attentive, and the service crew was quite helpful with assistance. The lens works perfectly and was cheaper than a new one. I'm almost 2 weeks into use and everything has worked really well. I would be happy to recommend 42nd street photo to anybody.

  Just what I was looking for. Very easy to speak to a real person on the phone and my order was shipped without any issues, I haven't used the lens for weddings yet but I am sure it will be my favorite for the portraits. I have taken so many photos since I received it and the images look fantastic when used with the Nikon D750. I absolutely love my purchase.

  The camera I ordered hasn't been delivered despite ordering it weeks ago. No information. Cant even get a refund. No call backs as promised.   Do not buy from 42nd street photo Online They are telling me that they are waiting for the courier to return the product to the original warehouse before they can process anything. I know once I finally get off the phone call nothing will happen and I will be left waiting indefinitely. It is now 10 days that they have had my money. I have no camera and no refund.

  Happy Customer, awesome service The website had lots of useful information, including specs, answers to questions, and customer reviews. I asked a couple of questions and received answers within 24 hours. I ordered a camera and it arrived quickly with standard shipping, I could not be more pleased. the camera has met all of my expectations and it takes amazing pictures.   An incredibly easy, seamless transaction. Absolutely perfect! tripod was shipped fast and worked exactly as described. Very satisfied, Out of the box, it was easy to set up and start using.   Great customer service. The salesperson spent almost an hour with me on the phone and made other suggestions of the lens that might work in my situation. I had the lens shipped for $3. It arrived in 3 days and it's is extremely sharp, the bokeh is smooth and it focuses quickly in any lighting situation, I haven't take it off my camera since I purchased it. Highly recommend 42nd street photo to others and will continue to do business with them.

  Great customer service and lightening fast shipping! I received my tripod in two days and didn't pay extra for faster shipping and It functions as expected and for the price it can't be beat.   Quick, easy and efficient Ordered a lens from 42nd St. PHOTO for next day delivery. The whole ordering process was quick and easy. Delivered just after 8am the day after I ordered it (door to door was probably only about 14 hours!) in packaging that would most likely survive a nuclear blast, which is useful when what you have ordered is 80%+ glass!

  The Metabones MB_PL-E-BT1 PL to E-Mount Adapter DID fit on the FX9. Testing my lenses on the FX9 (which is a full-frame sensor) my full-frame primes - from 14mm to 135mm - showed no vignetting. The mount feels solid, locks in properly to the FX9, and lenses lock into the adaptor precisely and easily. Simple. Well engineered. Works as advertised.

  Took my camera to them as they are the Canon authorized dealer for New York. They told me it could take two to three weeks to repair the soft focus on my 80D. I phoned after 3 weeks and they told me it would be looked at within 3 weeks, I told them it had already been three weeks. After 4 weeks now, I have contacted them and been told it will get looked at but they are very busy. They couldn't tell me what was wrong with it either, as they don't find out until the technician has repaired it?? Surely jobs should be prioritized and they should know what takes a short time to repair etc.?? Not good enough, I told them I had a trip to go on and they couldn't care less, trip has been and gone, their customer services are appalling and they just couldn't give a monkeys. AVOID at all costs, either go direct to Canon or find another dealer, this company DO NOT CARE about your custom. I have contacted Canon directly about this.

  Protection and Quality! As a professional photographer and writer, without sharp images I do not sell articles. To keep ones lens protected, I always add a UV-Haze filter, but not just any one anymore. Recently I purchased 3 more B W high performance filters from 42nd PHOTO to replace some good but not great ones. As always I find that the filters I get from 42nd PHOTO are always a good purchase.

  Great While It Worked, Disappointing After-Sale Support This Godox unit worked great for a couple of months of light studio use. It was my main light for small product/tabletop work. I can't find any Godox repair outside of China, and because it's been more than 30 days, 42nd PHOTO can't take it back. It's disappointing, to say the least, that a new unit would go haywire inside of 3 months, and that there'd be absolutely no recourse for repair. I'm willing to ship it and pay for the repair, but no facilities seem to exist. So take that with a grain of salt if you're considering Godox over more established flash manufacturers.

  Best small tripod bag on the market I have a Slik Pro DXShort Tripod with Slick Ball Head that I use mostly for Macro Photography. This bag fits this tripod like a glove. The bag has a small exterior pocket for the tripod manual, and a business card slot. Made of heady duty canvas with side and top straps, plus a shoulder strap.

  Called 42photo.com and they immediately shipped me a brand new camcorder. This Canon XA55 is an entry level pro camera. I just got it two weeks ago. and so far great job 42photo. We had a "sudden" need to start streaming our church services. This camera has performed flawlessly. The video quality is excellent, and the capacity is good (over 1 hour on a 128G SD card). We have gotten lots of compliments on the quality of our livestreams and video posts. Thanks again 42photo, I am impressed.

  The only place I my photograph gear. 42nd PHOTO are the only place that I buy my photographic gear, I've used them for years now and always had polite friendly service. They have a vast stock and knowable staff who are always willing to help. I must admit I've spent thousands with them. To me a retailer shows good they are when things go wrong, on the two occasions over the years that I have had problems a damaged item and a postal issue, both times way beyond 42nd PHOTO fault, a phone call and things are sorted, no questions asked, and to me you can't get better service. I highly recommend 42nd PHOTO.

  Great product excellent quality As an amateur photographer I have found this camera a great tool to learn about photography and explore a new passion. Love my new XT4 camera. I bought the XT1 when it first came out and was transformed to a Fuji lover. First foray into Fujifilm/mirrorless. Love the compact size and lightweight. Very intuitive features. Also loved working with 42nd St. PHOTO, they made the purchase easy, delivery was no hassle and they provide advise when you need it.

  Prompt service, Real people, I’m well pleased They answer the phone almost immediately with a real human. Other telescope companies haven’t (I know we have corona virus, but answering the phone is a basic requirement of my further business). They confirmed the stock shown on the website. On Saturday I ordered a Celestron X-Cel LX 25mm at the lowest price I could find anywhere (though you’ve got to add at least $7.50 postage), and I had it in my hands on Tuesday morning. I am well pleased with them and have ordered (today, Wednesday) an Explore Scientific 82 14mm, again at the best price I’ve seen, and I’ll review again when it arrives. I have confidence with Rother Valley (and hope they don’t let me down). I tried to order the X-Cel from B&H Photo Video, but they didn’t answer the phone. I tried to order the ES 14mm from Tring Astro (More expensive, but cheaper overall with free postage) who didn’t answer the phone (for the first few attempts), didn’t respond the messenger’s messages (as requested on the answer phone), and when I did get through were out of stock (but shown in stock on web site).

  Nowhere on the website does it clearly state that there will be Tax and Import Fees over for a very small order! Much to my surprise, I received an invoice from FedEx about two weeks after receiving the item. I called 42nd street photo and they never responded. Very disappointed.

  Samyang 35mm f/1.4 AS UMC Lens for Canon EF is very compatible for use on my Canon EOS 500N 35mm Film DSLR camera. Just set the manual focus lens. After ordering I was informed of the despatch and took delivery of a well packaged item a couple of days later. Excellent service and the best price, win win!

  Ruggard tripod case Good enough. The permanently attached strap is a shame but I knew that before I bought it. Is a bit narrow and, while the length was fine, would not hold the two Avenger stands with the two umbrellas that I bought if for. I decided to use it for a smaller pair of stands instead of returning. Again, it is OK but very good for the price.

  GH5 to S1 Trade In/Upgrade I visited the 42nd St PHOTO store looking for a full frame 4K upgrade from my GH5. Jonathan Huckabee was very helpful with advice and knowledge, the pro's and cons of various models until I settled on the Panasonic S1 with lens. The camera of course meets my requirements exactly but equally as valuable is the knowledge that a camera dealership has staff in store and on the phone who can discuss products to meet the customers requirements. I shall certainly return!

  I did not get the camera I ordered and when I called the shop, I was told that I actually got a better camera than the one advertised. As I have no way of checking up, I have to take their word. This should not happen. At leased they should have got in touch with me to tell me before sending the camera out. I haven't had a chance to test the camera yet, but I'm looking forward to my first shoot.

  I've been going to 42nd street photo for over 10 years and have always been very satisfied with the service and pricing. Jonathan is a genius and has quite the sense of humor as well.
