  Normally I am very happy with 42nd Street PHOTO but this is the second time I have ordered this lens because the first time the used Sony lens I ordered was actually linked to a Tamron lens. So I have to return said item and re order correct item. HOWEVER customer service was helpful and competent and every thing is working out.

  I was surprised that I received my order in two days when only free shipping was mentioned on the website. I had never heard of this retailer before but noticed they have some interesting cameras at pretty good prices. I'll be checking them out again.

  Great products, good company to buy from I have two cameras from 42nd Street Photo. My Leica TL, I misplaced the battery charger. I emailed customer service for assistance with a battery charger for my camera, since it's no longer being sold. They sent me the link for a compatible one, which I'm so happy that it is available. Thanks again for the fast reply! I do recommend their cameras, I'm happy with both of mine.

  I've been using 42nd street photo for the last 10 years and have never had a bad experience. My latest purchase was the new Panasonic Lumix GH6 camera that arrived earlier than promised after my usual online interaction with their transparent and informative website. The camera has lots of options and filter, most of which I haven't explored but I've been able to take some nice shots with it out of the box. As a long time customer I am very happy with the whole process and would absolutely recommend 42nd street to anyone!

  I've purchased a number of things from 42nd Street Photo, and I have not had any issues. Recently, I guess, they began using "UPS Mail Innovations," a shipping service that is complete trash. 42nd Street Photo handling time has also become slow. I ordered my lens on 8/19/22, and now on 8/25/2022, it's barely closer to my home, traveling about state to state with "no definitive delivery date." Why would a trusted company switch to a service that literally can't provide their customers with a delivery date?

  purchasing Nikon z mount 14-30mm f4 S lens Great service, advice, prices and ease of understanding their website and ordering details. I have purchased the Nikon Z6 2, several Chiaro filters, the z24-120mm S lens, the 24-200mm f4-63 lens and this 14-30mm S lens. I always buy from them and have never been disappointed. Finally, the Nikon Z series lenses and Z 6 2 camera are much better, in every way, then my previous Nikon equipment. Thanks Nikon and 42photo.

  I used to love 42photo, but I honestly can't recommend it anymore. I've been coming here for years and recently my experience has been less than stellar. Some of the staff are great and helpful, but others have forgotten about me completely while I waited for service, given me false information, one even ignored me so he could flirt with another customer (who was definitely not into it). And the prices have gone up, but so have wait times... If there was another film development place near me I would switch in a heartbeat.

  If I could give 0 star I would. called to book a camera and 3 lens and confirmed booking with staff. Showed up to get them day before wedding and they had never put it into the system and said they had nothing to give me. Will never be working with them again - do not rely on this business.

  Not the greatest customer service, it took a while to get someone to help me and when the staff helps they make it seem as a big chore and that they are doing you a big favor by doing their job. I checked the store policies in regards to returns and I was well within the confines of the policy. It’s too bad that the chain does not have the same standards, because at the downtown store I received top notch help.

  My go-to site for camera gear. I have bought several items from 42nd St. Photo. The always arrive by the stated time (or before), really well packaged and the condition of the items have always been as described on their web-site. I have only contacted their help line once and their customer service could not have been more helpful.

  Ordered a camera in July and when I ordered it there was no indication that the item was out of stock or backordered. Three months later, I still have no camera. I have contacted their support and they've made vague assurances that they will be receiving additional units at some point. To be clear, I understand there are global supply chain issues. But if their website had indicated that the camera was not in stock (and would not be for months), I would have ordered from somewhere else. Extremely disappointed with my experience with 42nd St Photo.

  I picked up my mirrorless camera from 42nd Street Photo and it what was clearly an exceptional experiences! In photographic circles, Jonathan is well known and it was suggested I meet him. Highly professional, very cheerful and he gave me an excellent tutorial and demonstration. I don't think any one else could do it as well. Highly recommend Jonathan.

  Amazing store and customer service! I couldn't find the camera or lens I was looking for at any local camera retailers (I was told there's a chip shortage/25 person wait list for Sony A6600) but I reached out to 42nd Street PHOTO and they had every single item in stock that I was looking for. They were extremely easy to communicate back and forth with and even offered to hold the items for me since I was travelling from a few hours away. The trip was well worth it! I also placed an online order for some extra accessories when I got home and I was very pleased with the delivery time, ordered Sunday - arrived Wednesday. Great experience overall and I will definitely be returning for future upgrades.

  Refuse to inform shutter count I'm looking to buy a Sony A1-body and had found an interesting one from 42nd St. PHOTO. Despite writing to their support, they refuse to inform me of the shutter count. In the end I ended up not buying the camera body from 42nd St. PHOTO because of this.

I ordered from them on a Thursday morning, my ZEISS binoculars shipped the same day and received the package on Tuesday morning.   Sony a7 III The kit came as expected except the Tamron 28-200mm f/2.8 lens was damaged. I contacted 42nd street photo, they contacted the manufacturer and the new replacement lens arrived within a week. Exceptional care and service. Hopefully I'll be back soon.

  A very good website. Products are solid. Tuesday I saw a used G12 on 42photo with 6 months warranty - on Friday morning it arrived and has worked flawlessly since. Of course my carrying case, straps, batteries and handbooks were all reusable. Also of course, there were timely messages tracking the shipment.

  An excellent purchase, I upgraded to the Nikon D5600 from the D3500 and absolutely love it, it’s a great body with awesome features. So glad I got it from 42nd street photo. The quality of photos that the camera takes is fantastic. The details that the camera captures is simply incredible, I'll be using 42nd street photo in the future for sure :)

  Great full frame camera for the price. I got my canon EOS R camera with a 24-105mm f/4 Lens three months ago from 42nd street photo, first I have to say the quality of photos is as better as my previous camera or even better. I love the quality and practicality of this camera, Really sharp image, the RF lenses are phenomenal. Build quality is great too. Really easy to use and the touch screen makes everything so quick. 42nd street photo does an awesome job getting their orders out, even during busy times. Always happy with their services and selection of products in stock.

  I purchased a Lens from 42nd Photo on the 30 July. It is a Canon EF 100-400 mm f405 L is Mk II. I was told it should be delivered within a week. This is now over two weeks later and I still have not received my lens. Please expedite. Thanks so much for sorting out the issue with Canon USA slow delivery. I am very happy with my new lens.

  I am beyond satisfied with 42nd Street Photo!!! I wanted to purchase the Canon Eos 6D Mark II online. I saw that it was on backorder, so I went into the store to get more information on the situation. The very friendly and well-informed salesman Jonathan (with very good knowledge of all of their products) immediately ordered my camera from Canon. The order was placed 18 July 2022. On the 20th of July 2022 I had my camera delivered to me! I could not believe how fast and efficient they delivered on their promise. Big thanks to the owner John Leeds and Jonathan for the settings he suggested for my specific type of photography, you know your stuff!

  I received an e-mail from outdoorphoto asking me to rate them. I don't know if I should give five stars because this was also the email in regards to the purchase in which there was a problem in the internet transaction. This postponed the delivery of the item. Maybe the fault is not on their side. Great product though. Great price also.

  The most professional service I have received in a very long time. Their prices are very competitive. I know, as I do my research before I buy at a place. In most cases their prices are the best.   Simply the best photographic shop for wedding and portrait photography equipment in Manhattan. They also have a rental facility where you can rent the top-of-the-range equipment and try it out before you take the plunge to buy it. They carry a vast stock of cameras, lenses and accessories and their prices are very competitive, often beating online shopping prices. Friendly and knowledgeable service from the staff, I keep on going back there for whatever my photographic needs are!

  I adore these guys, so respectful and so welcoming...I believe that they are the best around and everyone should visit there x.
