  USED Fujifilm XF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR I used to give 5 stars for this company as the Items, Prices and Experience were the best out there, however for the past two expensive used items I have bought this year, they have been much more than their competitors Adorama or BnH.So far I have spent more than $3000 with them instead of 42nd St. Photo. In these times of hardship, luxury Items like photography have meant that a lot more people are interested in used items and so I think that more competitive rates are needed on that department of 42nd St. Photo.

  Arrogant, rude, and over-priced The last time I had dealings with this shop was indeed the last time, as I never intend to visit them again. They would like us to believe they are a high-end and exclusive specialist. However, that would be all well and good if they had the manners to go with their image. The last person I spoke with was surly and rude. This is NOT the behavior you'd expect from a competent sales person.

  Efficient service Over the years, I've bought any amount of photographic equipment and accessories from 42photo and have always been pleased with the service - both in-store and on-line. During the pandemic, I've bought on-line, most recently, last week, a spare Red camera battery. The website is clear and gave good descriptions of alternative products and the battery arrived well packed and before the promised delivery date.

  Slight Issues. It is difficult to give a higher rating. I ordered a lens in May and it wasn't delivered until late August, very likely not their problem. They did take the money immediately as shown on my card site but it was refunded almost immediately. This did prevent me from using my card for several days, rather embarrassing. Otherwise, I have no complaints and will use them again.

  Terrible customer service. Seller doesn't follow through with shipping company to get scheduling of delivery, got my order totally damaged. Not in original box but a very weak, too large box. Seems like it was already damaged before seller sent it. I'd give negative stars if I could. Horrible.

  This will be my go-to store for all my photo & video gear. Better prices, plus super fast and reasonable 1 or 2 days shipping with FedEx. Their customer service team is also second to none. I purchased a Panasonic camcorder and I received it the next day. You can't beat their service level and responsiveness!

  Just superb customer service After a very poor experience with another Nikon retailer I contacted 42nd St. Photo who answered my questions very promptly, gave me a competitive quote for a new camera and three lenses and delivered the goods a full day earlier than I expected - superb customer service, would give them ten stars if I could!   Sony A7 IV I have already used the product a lot. I have take over 3000 pictures in just two weeks. I have been the photographer at a dinner and school events. The camera works well and is exactly how 42nd street photo described it. Well worth the money

  Canon keeps getting better and 42photo is fantastic The boxes were delivered separately and arrived not on the same day. Except that, everything thing was perfect. I have been shooting professionally for 14 years. Since then buying from 42photo . Wouldn't go anywhere else. 42photo service is top notch, mad a special request for shipping and my request was handled without question or additional charge.

  My first time buying anything from 42nd street Photo. I was honestly nervous at first when I bought the tripod, but my friend recommended me the website, so I had nothing to worry about. The tripod came exactly on the day they promised and packaging was great. No damage or anything. I used it for my last project for photography and it works perfectly, I look forward to buying more things from 42nd street Photo!

  Celestron FirstScope 76mm f/4 Newtonian telescope Great first telescope. Able it set it all up in under 20 min. Was shipped to Perth, Australia in 5 business days. 42nd St Photo made this easy. The telescope arrived as promised, fully functional and ready to use. I would definitely do business with 42nd St Photo again.   I ordered a DSLR camera and received it in perfect condition and timely with free shipping. Through no fault of the company, the camera did not function as I thought it would or should So, I called 42nd street photo to return it. They took it back with no questions asked, sent us a free shipping label and said they would refund the entire price. The refund was arranged quickly and my re-order arrived with expediency.

  This store offers some great professional level equipment. Their staff are top notch are are very knowledgeable in all areas photographic. I'm a film photographer and have found some hard to source items in the used section. I've purchased numerous lens and a DSLR here and every deal with was great.   42nd street photo is a great place to shop. I was a little untrusting at first, but I ordered a Sony a7 IV camera for an amazing price and it arrived the very next day! I received standard shipping for free and I wasn't expecting it to come until the end of the week. Surprisingly, the very next day I saw it sitting out on my porch and the packing was in good condition, looks fantastic and was exactly what I was expecting from the description online. I will definitely be ordering more from here.

  Good service, but stock is not transparent. You won't know when you will get your order. The website won't show this. It can be two days, it can be 4 weeks. The shop owner will help you out with problems, however communication can be a struggle. Having to wait several days on a response. If you need very specific gear, he will get it for you and for a good price. If you need generic/popular photography gear. There are other shops that are more transparent with stock updates on their websites.

  Too bad, My product can happen in backorder, in itself no problem. What I do have a problem it does not respond in the workplace and mail their own chat. Very unfortunate. Let them know that you know something is not an answer but subject to an automatic confirmation that the email received in good order is not a response. Pity and a lack of potential customers. And so to read I'm not the only one. Shame is in the store have been badly organized when I composed the review. Gelukkig reviews something like PayPal with buyer protection.   The website, although it also contains a lot of cameras, is nothing when you see what is in the store itself. The cameras are really everywhere: in the hall, on the stairs and in all areas of the business. Furthermore, everything is filled with tripods, lighting and the like. The advice is also excellent, the owners are warm and the coffee is ready

  Can 10 stars be an option please. Very happy with my experience at 42nd Street Photo. My wife and I are complete beginners with manual cameras. It has been something we've always wanted to get into. The staff (John, Johnathan, and Spanish man) were super friendly. Even though we initially had no intention of buying a camera, they answered all our questions (regarding ISO, aperture, shutter speed, shutter count, etc.). We had asked for a recommendation on the best camera for our budget, and they managed to get us a used Fujifilm xt3 and 2 lenses for a very good price with a 1-year warranty. It was still a hard decision, but the staff went the extra mile and gave us a Spanish gift and a hot shoe pieces which tipped the scales in a favor of buying it. Very happy with the purchase. I'll be buying all my camera gear from there as they are so helpful and knowledgeable.

  To be honest, really poor customer service, on the phone and in person they sound like they hate their jobs. I was dealt with by one lady that was friendly enough but they should really work on their customer service and how approachable they are. When you walk in it's like entering a a dull office, there was no greeting no nothing. Made me less enticed to look around due to the unwelcoming and cold atmosphere

  Having been let down by a high-street camera shop in New York CBD trying to buy a new lens some one told me to try 42PHOTO,rang on the Tuesday a person by the name of Garry answered and explained i was looking for a dear Nikon AF-S 200-500mm he told me they had one at the warehouse and could order it me said it could be a few days to come . Well couldn't believe it the next day Garry rings me to tell me it as come in and is ready to collect. Will be using 42PHOTO in future what a great service . Thanks

  Never had an issue with 42nd Photountil recently,at the time of writing they've had my gear for 16 working days and still have heard nothing about payment. I've emailed three times and received no reply, tried sending a message via chat and apparently they're not available. It's absolutely ridiculous.

  Best Camera for Aquarium Photography! As a Federal Ichthyologist I recently bought a Nikon D5600 with Vello BG-N16-2 Battery Grip, and a NIKKOR 70-300mm. All were in fantastic condition and the delivery service was so fast. 42nd PHOTO offer such quality equipment, a huge range where each item is individually checked. If you need quality affordable photographic equipment then you don’t need to look anywhere else. I know I won’t be. I highly recommend 42nd PHOTO to anyone. It’s simply the best company out there today.

  Purchased a Canon lens that was listed as excellent condition and I wasn't disappointed. To be honest it could have been sold as new and I wouldn't have known. Packaged really well also. The only issue,that has nothing to do with 42nd St. Photo was the delivery company, I ordered delivery for a specific day but they delivered earlier, luckily my neighbour took it in.would recommend.

  Support Local! When I am making a big purchase I like to be able to touch, feel and see the product and walk out with it that day, so having the brick and mortar store is very convenient. Parking isn't too bad, there is the street right next to the store that has meter parking if you don't want to park in the few spots right out front. The camera shop has awesome costumer service and great products in stock. 10/10 would recommend!

  Needed a tripod for my camera. Gentleman I talked to was knowledgeable of the equipment. Didnt try to upsell me, but showed me all the pods that would be useful for my needs. Ended up buying a pretty big tripod and spent a little more than I wanted to, however the few games I have filmed while using it have turned out a lot smoother.

  Bought their A7s3 cheaper than other reseller stores due to it being low in stock. The people there proceeded to try and sell me things like batteries, filters, and with me not having a lot of experience with these things, they charged me more than double the amount for a 1600 mh battery. I confronted them and they knew what they did, I told them how much it was selling on price Amazon, they acknowledged but kept bringing up the fact that since they sold the camera to me cheaper, this apparently excuses them to straight out scam me. If you're gonna buy things from this store, make sure to do your own research and don't let them try to advertise & sell things to you because they're just trying to make up what they lost from selling things cheaper.

  Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 I bought this lens to use while shooting birds and nature photography photos. When the lens arrived about a week ago I immediately tried it on my Canon EOS 90D. WOW! The IS was everything I had hoped for and the close focus opened an entire new dimension to my photography. Although it is too heavy to use as my walk-around lens, I am certain that it will frequently be on my camera. I couldn't be more pleased, 42nd street photo continues to lead the way in customer service and quality products.

I’m glad they gave me free film with my purchase, it is little stuff like that, that is very important to me. If they didn’t offer it, I would not hesitate to walk away.   The tripod works exactly as I thought, arrived very quickly and without any problem. I immediately put it to use. Have found it to be very versatile. Value for money, it is amazing.   Surprisingly Good! Excellent Camera! I enjoy photography. I've always been a Nikon fan. I decided to try Canon out and purchased the Rebel T7. It does not disappoint. I'm not the most advanced photographer but know enough to take decent pictures and I am blown away by the easy settings, the quality of pictures, and overall the size of the camera compared to my older DSLR. I am extremely happy with my purchase and I highly recommend 42nd street photo for your camera and photographic needs.
