  Couldn't be more happier with the service I received from 42nd street photo, everything went so smoothly from when the order was placed to when I received it. I had a canon R7 and it was damaged during a photo shoot, I placed the order on January 10th and got my new Canon EOS Rebel T8i by 15th. Thank you so much 42nd street for making this possible.   Delighted with my purchase, I ordered a Canon EOS R5 on Sunday and it arrived at my house on Wednesday at 4 p.m. Being the first Mirrorless camera I've ever owned, I'm blown away.   Selling my equipment to 42nd street photo was the worst mistake! Communication is the worst, the quote is nowhere near what they promised and the attempts to get my lens back was no success. If you want to sell your equipment super cheap and spend hours calling them and having your emails ignored then it’s your place.

  It took just 3 days for my new Canon EOS M50 Mark II to arrive to my door in Austin Texas. As a beginning photographer, I am pleasantly surprised by the use of the camera! Lightweight, easy to use, and takes amazing photos. Tested it the past weekend and the photos look amazing so far. Happy to recommend 42nd street photo and would not hesitate to use them again.

  Purchased a Sony a6600 and Couldn't fault the service, ordered on Monday and received on Friday, I'm just getting back into photography so I can't say I've completely tested it out, but so far I find the a6000 easy to use, it fits comfortably in my hand, the battery life has been good. I have been able to take some impressive pics considering my skill level. I will surely be considering 42photo.com for future purchases.

  I just found out that a lens shade I ordered was shipped but it will not be delivered for 9 days. Considering I live less than two hours from the store, this is Unacceptable. It’s being shipped via DHL. Why not use USPS First Class Mail. I have changed my 5 Star review to 3 Stars based on this. .

  No communication I bought a7R3 to photograph trumpet swans in RAW from 42Photo NY as they were the cheapest online, and while the price was good, the camera arrived faulty. This is likely not the companys fault, but when i contacted them to get the issue resolved through their email, i never got a reply. In the end i gave up and contacted the manufacturer directly. Additionally, the items did take a little longer to arrive than expected.

  Not received my order. After 3 weeks waiting for my order I still have not received it. I will certainly not be recommending people to do business with you. After you emailed me saying what I should do to try and track my order, the advice I received was it should not be up to me, but you should be sorting it out. I am a septuagenarian and do not find it easy to chase after this order. Why not send orders by recorded delivery.

  They cancelled my son's Christmas present without informing us. Ordered some new A6600 with a 2x teleconverter for my son's Christmas present. Paid extra for fast postage but received an email from PayPal (the payment company) saying that they have cancelled the order and I'll receive the refund within 21 days. This was on the 23rd December. I tried contacting 42PHOTO but could not get in touch with them. Phone ringing out and emailed but didn't hear anything back until the 26th. This was obviously too late for me to do anything, meaning he missed out on his main present. They sent a weird email saying "to make things right" they have issued a refund, "hoping it is a decent method" and "it does not affect my good mood." It did not make anything right, it wasn't a decent method and it definitely affected my good mood. Do not order from this company if you want to receive your items or want decent after sales support.

  Great product, but unorthodox service Very happy with actual product but they let themselves down badly with hassle over refund. We purchased items around $3,000 and realized that we didn't need the DJI RS 3 Mini Gimbal Stabilizer we should have been refunded the same day. Sadly i had to ring twice and when we did eventually get refund it was around $100 less than it should have been. Totally lost my trust, they blamed all sort n the delay in the refund but as they user a bank which has faster payments as we do the refund should have been in our account within hours. Indeed when i made m final complaint phone call surprisingly the payment arrived. I never bothered to ask for the missing $100 just not worth the hassle. However, as i said the products themselves are great and if you know what you want and don't need a refund go for it, small outfit but if they take onboard comments which I'm sure they will you never know they might make a success of it.

  Great company, great products and service. Just purchased a Canon EOS R5, battery grip, spare battery and card reader from 42nd St PHOTO. Ordered it on a Monday and it was delivered on Friday- 4 working days which is great service. I’m a pro photographer and it’s the first time I’ve purchased where I knew the camera was coming from abroad. I needn’t have worried, the camera came properly boxed as did all the other things ordered. Obviously not tested the 2 yr warranty yet but I am extremely happy with quality, service and especially the price. If you are thinking of purchasing anything from them then don’t hesitate to get in touch with them. Great company, great service and great products.

  The product had the in-stock status but was in the pre-order system, with an unprecedented waiting period. When I cancelled the order, they said that the return would be within 5-7 days, but they forgot to refund and only after 7 days and my complaint did they start the procedure. Waste of time. If there is a preorder, you should not write that it is in stock and forgetting the $1700 refund order on time can disturb your financial liquidity

Belatedly notified that it wasn’t available for the special event for which I purchased it. What is the point in offering a service you cannot provide? Further to the above, I have been contacted by the company and happy to report that this matter has been investigated. I am happy with the outcome. Would definitely buy from them again.

  I received an expert recommendation I had waited some months for a particular camera that was on back order. Finally I contacted the consumer sales department to ask for advice. I described carefully what my camera needs are. Jonathan answered my email promptly and described the one camera he thought would meet my needs. I looked it up and I think he's quite right.   Great range and (occasionally) great prices Despite having a tremendous range of gear, from a range of different brands, 42 Street Photo doesn't always have the best prices. But, on occasion, they offer discounts which are very hard to resist (and when buying from their eBay store, additional savings can be made). They're quick to reply to messages too and will ship items very promptly.

  Overall hood experience Had two instances where unfortunately they oversold a product. During this time, they have refined their ease-of-sale skills to where it is a pleasure to shop with them - especially online. I found the camera I decided to buy and the necessary accessories through comparison shopping - from scratch - a number of models and brands where I was easily able to narrow down many choices to a single model.   Excellent Customer Service! I bought a Kirk L-Bracket for Nikon Z9 V2 from 42nd St Photo. It arrived a lot earlier than the original estimate. When I checked it there was a screw missing. I rang Customer Services and spoke to a very pleasant gentleman who popped a replacement in the post which was with me by 10am the next morning. Things go wrong, it's what you do when they do that counts! There was a small bag of Extra spearmint sweets in the envelope too! I know where I'll be going when I need a replacement tripod! 10/10

  Professional Video Camera & all we needed to get going We purchased a complete Panasonic HC-X2 Camera system that had everything we needed to get started. Since then we have quickly learned to use it, linked it up to mobile social broadcast kit and have been recording and broadcasting events in our town. Very impressive system that does everything we want to do.

  Onerous returns policy My main concern was the courier company,that have been worded to make returning a product counter-productive. Having worked with the New York's major retailers producing instructions for assembly or use, I know it is stretching it to expect the buyer to accept a 20% reduction in a refund simply because a package seal might be damaged. How else is the buyer going to inspect the product? Also, expecting the buyer to forego the delivery cost and pay for the return delivery. In short, very poor after sales service.

  Scammers, complete Scammers Camera finally arrived two weeks late and I was willing to forgive everything only to find the automatic light sensor is broken, the camera is filthy and there was some kind of sticky substance inside the back, clearly no one is checking these and they're flipping them as soon as they get them for a massive profit. Scam website, never use.

  A bit disappinted Ordered a camera battery for my holidays and delivery time quoted on the website would have got it here in plenty of time. To my great disappointment it did not arrive within the 5-7 days as stated. When I contacted 42nd St. Photo they informed me "All orders are delivered by DHL; they are shipped from our central NY distribution centre using an untracked Priority courier service" and that it had taken 4 days to be "confirmed as received into the DHL Interstate Dispatch Centre". As a result I did not have it in time for my holiday. Had I known it was being posted out with the DHL useless service I would not have ordered for this website.

  Excellent service – can't be happier … :D I am a small broadcast business and I needed to find a monopod for a videography gig in Michigan and especially one which meets my needs and my budgetary circumstances. Jonathan, his boss and their team did really everything to meet all my wishes and demands and I am very happy. Seldom that a company in this industry is willing to go out of their way to get something for someone on a budget, when most just give you the feeling of "take it or leave it – next!".
