    met all expectations - would have preferred quicker delivery The vendor did everything right. Timely notifications. Easy to check progress. Product was delivered without damage -- good packaging. I would have preferred quicker delivery. I understand that this product was coming from the Czech Republic and had to go through several locatoins to get to me. The vender told me to expect the product in two weeks from shipment. That was accurate but it took a week to process the order.

    Trustworthy Merchant, Great products at a great price! I ordered several large model kits from 1001 Modelkits. They had to be sent from their European warehouse to their American warehouse. The total process from order to delivery from Europe took 17 days (about 12 business days). They kept me appraised during the entire process. Thanks!

    Great Stuff but SLOW Shipping Ordered decal sheets which I could not find anywhere else and which were indicated as in-stock. Confirmation e-mail stated 6-8 days delivery time. 14 days after placing order I received an e-mail ""updating"" me and stating items were shipped from Europe and would need to stop at US facility before finally being sent to me. Items arrived well protected in rigid cardboard flat mailer and in great condition after about 4 weeks. Keep in mind that at the same time I placed this order I placed some other orders with vendors in Australia and Singapore. I received those orders in about 1 week via direct international mail as flat packages (just like these decals). Denver (where I live) to Paris distance is 4900 miles. Denver to Sydney is 8300 miles and Denver to Singapore is 9000 miles - get the picture? I don't know why it should take so long to get a flat mailer from 1001, but they really need to work on improving their shipping times. That being said, if I needed something that they had I would be confident ordering from them in the future, but would be aware of the long wait time.

    WORST INTERNET PURCHASE EVER This company is apparently strictly a 'middleman' that does not warehouse its products except in very few rare cases if you read any other reviews or take my impression. At no time did they have a clue as to my order status, location of said order, or real time stock quantities. Customer service is automated, with canned responses, and few and random. I should have been clued by their policy of charging for the item when ordered, not when shipped, so you have no option to cancel or refund an order after no contact or response after an extended wait period. If you use them expect double the wait for shipping and handling (items ship to them and then to you) and notice fluctuating site pricing. It took my order three weeks to arrive, and they said it was crossing the Atlantic the day before it was dropped on my porch on the US west coast. Most of their stock is sold to the public directly through the manufacturers. Good luck.

    Untrustworthy seller Seller's website said model was available and would ship in 10 days. 21 days later, no update, no tracking number, no status. Emails were responded to with generic ""we will let you know when we receive a status"". After 45 days I got a refund. They processed my refund timely, so I suppose that's a positive? Now I missed my uncle's birthday, and will have to order from scratch from somewhere else. Don't order from here if you have a deadline to mee!

    Good offer with accurate listing. Good comminication with on-time delivery. Recommended! The price on the kit is about 25% lower than the best offer I could find elsewhere and I therefore consider their offer excellent! The kit took a tad longer to arrive because of some necessary rerouting, but the wait was reasonable as I received notification from them with regard to the delivery details. Overall it has been a very satisfactory experience and I would recommend the seller to my friend!

    Veeeeery slowwwww...... Very impressive site with lots of goodies for the modeling enthusiast but… I registered and placed my first order for 4 decal sheets on April 1st. The prices all over the site were within the market range. But the postage charged (8.90€) was excessive even for registered mail for a 20 gr. envelope. All the items were marked as available and 3 of them had 5-6 day shipping time indicated. I paid thru Paypal on the same day. The next day I received an e-mail message that the order has been processed and that I will receive my order in 6-8 days. After ten (10) days (on April 11th) I received another e-mail saying that my order has been shipped!!! Because the shipment had not arrived on April 29th, I sent an e-mail asking for details and where do they ship from. I got an answer the next day saying that they ship from France and that surface mail (!!!) might take longer to arrive. On May 12th I wrote again to their customer service complaining about the long delay in their delivery and asking for an answer. I also opened a dispute in Paypal’s resolution centre. I got a message the next day saying that the envelope must be lost and that one of the decal sheets was no longer available. I was given the option to buy something else from the site and so I did. The new order was processed the next day (May 14th), I received an e-mail on May 19th that it will be shipped soon (!!!) and finally an e-mail on May 21st that it was shipped (more than a week after the new order was placed). The envelope arrived on May 27th which is within the normal range for an intra EU 1st class mail. Mind you the postage affixed was 1,35 € !!!! I have to point out that I trade over the net constantly and never had a problem with lost mail in over 600 transactions during the last 8 years or so. There is something definitely wrong with their very slow shipping and equally slow customer response service. Possibly the items sent from the EU are not in stock there and have to be shipped from elsewhere thus the one week between ordering and shipping. I cannot detect any malicious intent but I am skeptic about any future purchases from them……

    Pretty good. There was a small issue in figuring out if the item on their site was the one I was looking for. The picture shows the item out of the box and no box shown in the photo. I emailed them and they said they would attempt to find out more about the item from their supplier. After 2 weeks I heard nothing back. I decided to go ahead and order it since it was only 10 bucks(very good price) and it turned out that it was what I was looking for. The tracking didnt update during shipping but thats not really the company's fault.

    So far so good.....ll Couriered to UK from France by DHL during Christmas week, arrived before most of our UK parcels which were ordered much earlier! This would be 5 stars, except for the fact that this expensive, sophisticated wooden sailing ship model kit was open and had been repackaged somewhere along the line. There is no way to tell if anything is missing due to the complexity of the model (Amati HMS Surprise from the Aubrey/Maturin novels).

    A+ model supplier I was on pins and needles anticipating my order delivery of one of the rarest and virtually impossible kits to obtain in the US. 1001 fulfilled my every expectation by delivering just the very item I was obsessing on getting.     Not impressed! Wrong size, wrong materials and unwrapped and they took almost 2 weeks to arrive. Category : Diecast models Fiat 500 Blue +500C Pink x 2 1:43 I ordered the advertised diecast models which were supposed to be a Fiat 500 in Blue and a 500C in Pink in 1:43 scale. What I received was 2 number Fiat 500's in Blue and 2 number 500C's in Pink in 1:87 scale in plastic. I also paid an extra £1.70 for gift wrapping, which was a paper bag! The quality of the products are excellent but they are not what I wanted or ordered! Wrong size, wrong materials and unwrapped, also they took almost 2 weeks to arrive. Additionally, when I checked my order on the website after they arrived, it had changed to what they delivered but the scale is still listed as 1:43. In summary they state that this product is no longer available - Which product is no longer available, the 1:43 Scale Die Cast Models or 1:87 Plastic Models? Luckily, my daughter, for which they were a Christmas present is happy with them.

    Absolutely awful It is now 1st Jan 15 and still waiting for delivery of my sons Christmas present which was ordered on 14th December. No one to speak to. Most of the telephone numbers don't even seem to exist!!!!!!!!!!!!!     Two orders both cancelled and had to email them to find out!! I placed two orders both were cancelled, I was not notified of the cancellation or the reason for either. When i contacted 1001 modelkits I was told one was cancelled due to a pricing mistake clearly going against there own terms of use the other I was told was due to being out of stock of the item but as soon as my order was cancelled the items were listed in stock and a co-worker purchased the items at which point the item was listed as out of stock. I had a feeling they had a pricing error and had intention of ordering other items if things went smoothly with these orders. If they had at least contacted me to notify me of the issue or told me that the orders were being cancelled i wouldn't be as upset but the fact i had to email to try to figure out why my orders had been processing for weeks is rather absurd. Now i will never order from them again and will not recommend them to anyone.

    Do not purchase from under any circumstances. I ordered the Tamiya 1:35-35065 German Panther Tank on 1/10/15. My card was charged and an email sent to me on 1/11/15 that I should allow 12 - 15 business days altogether. It is now 1/31/15 which means that 15 business days has expired. My purchase is still ""order being processed"". The email sent also said that they did not have any of the item in stock, despite the website saying that there was several (as it does now). Furthermore, the PRICE HAS DROPPED SIGNIFICANTLY while my order has been sitting in processing. The amount charged to me was 36.99USD and the current cost of the kit is now 24.99 and is on sale for 23.74. I have messaged the company about having my order cancelled, or the item shipped and the difference in cost refunded to me but have not received a reply. At this time I believe that I will not receive a refund nor my purchased goods and that 44.99 (model, tax and shipping costs) has been stolen from me. Do not purchase from.

    Not overwhelmed by the experience! I ordered a 1/72 Italeri fast build M7 Priest/Kangaroo kit. I only considered the order because of not being able to find this kit elsewhere. I feel that the price even though it was 'on sale', was still a very premium price compared to similar kits. I accept the fact that a higher price may reflect its rairity. I expected to receive the kit in about a week to 2 weeks, it ended up being close to 4 weeks. Customer service was available, if not at time a bit spotty. I must say they did try to keep me in the loop. I did get a shipping tracking number which was very nice. Once I received the kit, the box was a bit banged up, had a few pieces loose in the box off the sprue, and had no assembly instructions nor the decals that the box front said should be included. At present, I don't know if I would order from 1001 ModelKits again.

    good models, lackluster service, long wait times. This was a less than pleasurable experience due to the lengthy delivery time – 27 days. My order was processed immediately and charged almost immediately on my credit card, this after the shipping rates were raised for some reason to a different price, which was higher than the quoted price when I pressed the button to complete my order. I was upset at that incident for days after the order. A week later, after filing an inquiry twice online, received a message that I would receive a voucher for the difference in price…I’ll never use it, but why not just make the adjustment on this order Poor customer service in my opinion. I received no info or updates until the item was shipped in this country, three weeks later, from the post office tracking. Parcel arrived with some damage to the side of the box, with damage to one of the model boxes inside…but thankfully the model was not harmed. I find it amazing that there was no packaging or filler inside to protect the items inside the box, as with other model companies with every shipment. I order something from the next state over and the box has newspaper, Styrofoam peanuts, plastic bubble rap…something! But something comes from France and no filler whatsoever…hmmm. I’m not impressed with the service, but the price was better than some places here, however, I will never use your services again.

    Good Shopping The inventory of 1001 Modelkits is perhaps the best around. When I need to find something, they have it. The only part I do not care for is having them ship it to arkansas and then on to me. Direct shipping would seem to be a better alternative.

    model paints Of the 6 paints that I ordered one was wrong. Delivery took long time but it may have been fault of USPS. Send email with complaint (there is no phone number available). Took 3 days to respond but got credit without any questions. Had to pay some extra for shipping but only pennies. Delivery of replacement was fast and color was the correct one.

    Poor service I ordered some photo-etch details on December 3, and it has not arrived yet as of Dec.23. Not only were the shipping charges higher than they should have been for such an item (and higher than their website advertised) but to take at least three weeks to arrive is unacceptable. I could have purchased from a company in Australia that I've bought from before and had it here in a week. Really disappointed. 12/30 - still have not arrived. Cancelling order.

    Horrible experience This was a HORRIBLE experience. I ordered a book December 31, 2014. My order was processed immediately. I got the book today January 24, 2015. Almost a month later. Supposedly the book was coming from a depot in Europe and had some additional information required by Customs. That is BOGUS. If you don't have the book in stock for immediate delivery, say so. From now on, will use (external reference) in England. Never had problems with them. Will NEVER EVER use this vendor again. Asked for updates on status on the 16th and did not hear back for a week. This was a Horrible experience. Finished the model that I was buying the book as a reference for the day before the book arrived as I had pretty much given up on getting the book. Will never use this company again.

    Unsatisfactory response to damaged goods report. I ordered a Great Planes Giant Big Stik model aircraft which arrived with some damage to the rear of the fuselage. I reported the damage with photographs of both model and packaging and asked 1001model kits for their comments. Having paid over £300 for the model which was to be a special Christmas present (which I had noted on my order) I imagined they would at least have offered to reduce the price as I had received damaged goods. Their reply follows: Dear Sir, I am deeply sorry for the damage. Unfortunately we are located in France and have no solution for repairs in the UK. I suggest that you repair it yourself, this should not be too complicated. Best regards, -- Customer service UK buyers beware.

    Terrible experience with no response It's now 1/16 -It has now been a month since I placed my order and I have nothing to show for it except a $106 charge to my credit card. Based upon the last response I received from your company, I expected at least a partial shipment. Again, I have not received anything. I have not received my order, tracking number or any follow-up response. This has been the worst on-line experince. I placed my order on 12/12 for Christmas. The website indicated it was ""in stock"" and would be here in time. Credit card was charged $106 immediately. That is the only thing they have gotten correct. Now MORE THAN A MONTH LATER and I do not have my order and have not heard from a representative of 1001modelkits...but they still have my money. Respectfully I have asked for them to cancel my order and post a credit but still no response. Placed an order on 12/12 for Christmas. It is now 1/5 and I still have not received my order. In addition I asked for an update and did not receive a response. Customer service is non-existent. Placed an order on 12/12. According to the website the order is still being processed but my credit card was charged immediately. I have now emailed on two occasions with no response.     Slowest shipping ever/ No shipping I placed my order on 12/19/14. It is now 1/10/15 and nothing. I sent a email checking on the status and I got the it's crossing the Atlantic response. Must be on a rowboat. They have a excellent selection but getting them seems to be an issue. I ordered items from another company in Poland on 12/26/14 and those items arrived on 1/5/15. I do not like leaving negative reviews. Update: It is now 1/15/15 order still being 'processed'. Thanks for offering free shipping on my next order. But seeing that I am out $183.97 so far on this one I do not think there will be a next order. Sorry. 1/22/15 order still being 'processed'. 34 days now and counting. 1/26/15 Paypal refunded my payment. These guys did not even respond to Paypal's investigation. Ordered same items elsewhere on 1/26/15 and they arrived today 1/30/15. Amazing 38 days with 1001 Modelkits and they where still processing. Not a very good way to run a business...just saying. But what does one person matter to these guys.

    Disappointment I was very disappointed with my experience. First, I waited several weeks before I was told they could not fulfill my order, but I was not told what was not being filled.     Do not waste your time or money Fast to take your money, but slow to get you your order, I think they ship by sail boat, I placed my order on 1/10 and it is now 2/11 and I have still not gotten my order. This is the most I ever paid for shipping, and the longest I have ever waited.     Caracal EC-121 Decals Internet search for EC-121 decals brought up 1001 Models, always a wee bit wary of ordering from a company I have never heard of. The prices were in USD and it was a .com therefore I assumed I was dealing with an American company and they are normally great. Not until I had paid and checked out did I realise this company was in France, not to worry every bit at good as an American Company and even quicker, well it's just across the channel innit !

    False advertising, slow shipping, lack of communication on order status. I placed my order on May 23, 2015. It took them almost two weeks to let me know that one of my model kits was not in stock when on their website it showed available. It has been two weeks since then and I still have no order or any information on what the status of my order is. They have ignored numerous messages and phone calls concerning the status of my order. Bad customer service in my opinion, especially since I made a big order. This day and age taking a month to ""process"" an order is unacceptable. Taking a customer's money instantly and making them wait a month or more for their order to arrive is ""bad business"". Also the customer service telephone voice menu is in French not English and French. Not helpful to United States customers. They have a great website and seem to have a great selection of model kits. Lots of potential killed by bad customer service. Hopefully they will wake up and smell the coffee.(at least long enough to answer their phone) Another week has gone by and finally they have made contact with me.(Only because I posted a bad review in my opinion.) They claimed my order had issues in customs and that these issues had been resolved and my order would be shipped in another week. A week went by and I had heard nothing so I sent customer service an email about the status of my order. They claimed one of the items had been lost in shipment and of course it was no longer available. They did offer me another voucher for the price of the product. However a voucher is worthless if the company does not have the ability to process and ship a simple order. I have zero confidence right now that this company is competent enough to even handle another order. I want a full refund or I will take legal action against this ""scam"" of a company. Avoid this company. It is now almost July and I still have heard nothing about my order and have yet to receive any goods that I have ordered. Just a small piece of advice 1001 model kits: On a multiple item order if there is an item on someone's order that you do not have in stock (that you said you did have) send the items that you do have and don't hold THE ENTIRE order for weeks at a time. It would be faster for me to sail across the Atlantic and pick up the items from their warehouse in France! Pick up your phone! Communicate with your customers! Do not take their money unless you have rendered them a service.

I was purchasing a photo-etch add-on for a model kit I was planning on building soon. 1001 Modelkits website was easy to navigate, and I quickly found what I needed.     Great company to deal with Bought some hard to find self adhesive photo etched accessories for a TA-4J Skyhawk in 1/48 scale. Parts are great and easy to work with and the company is easy to deal with. They communicate a lot with email and that is a plus for them. Some companies don't bother after a sale.     Address Error, Ordered 4 got 2, and learned to only buy 1 item at a time! My first experience with the company was not the best. I ordered a figure i already had, but was broken as a test to see if I would even get it. They put my address on there wrong so I had a hard time getting it. For some reason the post office couldn't figure out that my apt# was just put first instead of where it should have gone. I managed to get it, but I had to do things I normally wouldn't have done if it were correct. I ordered 4 figures several months later. After 2 months of waiting I got several emails stating that several of them were unavailable. I got 3 vouchers so I expected to only receive 1 of them. To my surprise 2 of them showed up! I then ordered the missing ones separately and got the first almost immediately, and the second just shipped. I've gotten all that I plan to get from this company as I was only looking for those specific figures and this was the ONLY place to find them reasonably priced (they are discontinued now). It takes a long time for them to actually ship things and my suggestion to others purchasing from them is to purchase 1-2 items at a time only. Also, I was surprised that the vouchers did not cover shipping even though there was more than enough to cover it and my purchase. It should have covered the shipping too.

    Books rcvd of high quality. Both books feature two rather obscure British warplanes. Both were richly illustrated and were concise and to the point. The Bristol Brigand Book of the warpaint series was especially good. Covering 3 variants of this late war airplane, it did not disappoint. The only burr under the saddle was the length of time it took to receive seemed awfully long almost 3 weeks or so. I know the warehouse of origin is in France and the may have saved a considerable amount of time .by direct shipping to the end user. Im thinking that they probably consolidated other orders in with mine sending it to AR and distributing it there. Well the most important thing was getting 2 books I desired for a long time and waiting x time is a trifle. Next time I'll know what to expect. Thank You Martin Gherardi

    Took forever, item labelled incorrectly, terrible service. Pathetic doesnt touch how i would describe their customer service. I ordered what was labeled as a harrier model, on May 31st. It wasnt even packaged for shipment until June 22nd! I received my order only to realize it was just the decals. I emailed them saying the product is titled incorrectly, and they started arguing with me off the bat telling me how clearly labelled they think the product is. I used examples of what I'm looking at that made me think this was a harrier model. They emailed back shoving their self-righteousness in my face. Terrible customer service. Don't even try calling them unless you speak french. This is the worst I have been treated with any company. I just hope someone reads this before they order from here and can find what they need elsewhere.

    A400m Grizzly A large model that I haven't completed as yet. The main problem being the undercarriage as the wheels keep breaking off their stub axles even using the smallest amount of glue.
