    1001 had what I needed at a reasonable price! I needed some Aber treadplate and 1001 Models had it in stock. The real irony is the North American importer for Aber lives a mile away but was out of stock at the moment. The delivery speed was resonable with no undue Customs hiccups coming across the Canadian border (and minimal snow delay as well). Satisfied first tim customer, I've bookmarded the site for future supplies. Cheers,

    I have been disapointed so far because I received the wrong order and have had no response from customer service to date.. The processing of my order seemed to be OK. I received timely updates regarding when the products would be received for shipping. I also received a notice when the order was being shipped. I received a shipment in 2 to 3 days as was stated. However, I received the incorrect shipment. My order #14439 was not what I received. I received order #14539 which is not mine. I have sent 2 e-mails to customer service (contact@1001.com) and have had no response yet. The Website states that Customer Service is important to them. I have seen no evidence to date. A customer service telephone number for English speaking customers would be helpful. I am awaiting a response regarding what to do with the incorrect shipment I received and what is the status of my order for which payment was accepted.

    Product Sent to the Wrong Address! I ordered 4 airplanes from Canada to be sent to my son in a different province. The order was placed on Jan. 13,2013 and it arrived on Jan. 29,2013-over 2 weeks for delivery is unacceptable. More importantly, the planes arrived at my home and now I have to pay shipping to send them to him. Very disappointing!

    A reliable on-line business that stocks items unobtainable anywhere else. This was my first purchase from 1001 Modelkits, and it was an entirely positive experience. I was searching for an out of production aircraft model, and this company was one of two places world-wide that indicated it was available. I ordered the item from both places. 1001 Modelkits kept in regular communication with me, indicating when the item would be shipped and when it was shipped. It arrived in perfect shape within a reasonable period of time. The other seller has not communicated with me, and I still have not received the item. Based on this experience, I hope I have the occasion to do business with 1001 Modelkits in the future.

    Poor, Slow Service, Incomplete Order Many item not in-stock despite web order saying they were in stock ready to ship. For items not in stock, I was issued a ""credit memo"" to be used on next order without my permission. I can't imagine ever ordering again so I am now fighting for a refund. This was the poorest experience I have had ordering on the internet in 15 years.

    A Rocky start but they delivered the product! One thing I am not used to is a vendor who charges a CC before they ship! This is not the norm here in the US! I ordered a brand new armor kit which they indicated they had in stock but they really did not! It took them 3 weeks, but they did ship the kit and it was received in good condition. Will I order from them again? Yes, but I will inquire about availability first, rather than rely on what is posted on the site. They have a tremendous selection of kits and I believe there heart is in the right place but they do need to pay more attention to updating stock level information on the site.

    good communication but very slow sending my order out Ordering was fine with no issues. Being in New Zealand I expect it to take a week or two for items to arrive but Payment was accepted on the 8th and I got an email on the 21st to say my item had only just been shipped. It was only one set of decals, what was the hold up? Apart from the delay in postage though I would use them again.

    A bit slow to ship . Packing could be better. The Item was shipped more than 10 days after payment . The decals arrived creased and damaged , Packing them with a piece of cardboard would have protected them . I don't think that would be too much to ask as I paid twice actual postage.

    Very pleased with my purchase, would like to make a recommendation. I would like to recommend that you update your site with the box art of the item I purchased. I know this going to sound anal retentive, but hear me out. The box art for the land rover kit I bought shows an a different version of the WMKI land rover. Airfix has a new cover for the kit which shows the new version of the land rover. I realized after receiving the kit that I already had the kit. Looking at the kit closer I can make it the older version. Now I admit I should have paid closer attention to the kit I was buying (ie kit number). I quit pleased with the service and kit itself. Just recommend updating your site so there is no confusion for other customers int he future. Thanks you.

    Imex Confederate Infantry - the lost battalion? Ordering, delivery and price were first rate - I will use again. I cannot say the same for the product. This set has been out of production for many years so I was lucky to find them but they are not as good as other figures in this series. I have compared them to the original poses on Plastic Soldier Review and these are just cheap copies in brittle plastic. I would love to know why Imex produced such an inferior set. Does anyone know the story behind this?

    Good company, but suffers from slow shipping and customer service response. Good company, that shipped my item well protected. However, one item was out of stock, and it took them around two weeks to let me know. In that same time, I placed orders with their competitors, got notification of shipping and received my order. When I inquired about the delay, it took a couple of days to get a response. They need to tighten up these areas to really be first class. That said, depending on the item and my need, I would consider ordering from them again.

    waste of time and money Hey, I would like to share with you my worst buying experience I've had so far , here are the details of the case : I saw many publications in magazines of models building from about 1001modelkits.com , after I checked and compared prices and seeing positive reviews online I decided to try and do a purchase from them. the site seem very impressive and serious , with huge stock and tempting prices - including low postage. I made the purchase at 7.3.14 and according to the site terms it has been said that the shipment will be sent in no more than 48 hours. After several days that i did not received from them any email to document the purchase (which I usually get right away from my experience from buying in many websites) I contacted their customer service department and after a few days I received the following laconic message : "" Dear customer , Rest assured that we do our best to deliver our customers quickly. You will receive a tracking number as soon as the package is sent. Best regards, Customer service 1001modelkits"" Since the message said nothing about delivery time, estimated shipment or reason for the delay (all products were marked as available and in stock ) I tried to contact again to their customer service department with email's and direct messages to their online services but until now I did not get any response or any replay . this looks like just a scam to rub you out of your money!

    Failed to deliver, refund eventually received. I ordered a decal set 31st January. 11 days later received an email to say item not yet dispatched but that it would be posted within the next few days. This was not acceptable to me so I email back requesting the order be cancelled and my money refunded. 4 Days later I receive an email to say my item had now been mailed. I again replied to say my order had been cancelled. On 23rd Feb I had neither received my refund or the product that had allegedly posted to me so I opened a dispute via Paypal. A refund was then received the following day. Very poor communication throughout - not a happy buying experience.

    Excellent Products The models from 1001modelkits are excellent. The delivery was fine but you do have take in consideration that some items ship from overseas. So the waiting period may be a few weeks. However, every model builder knows that it does take time to get items. My items actually came in a few days earlier than expected. That made me happy, happy, happy. They do have models that are hard to find. All this together makes it a great experience and I will be ordering from them again in the near future.

    Sloooooow! I've ordered from 1001 Model Kits in the past and everything about the experience was outstanding. This time however, has been so so. I placed my order at the same time as I placed an order from another online hobby shop. I received an auto-email telling me that my order had been processed and I would receive my order in 6 - 8 days. 10 days later I received another auto-email stating that my order had shipped and I would receive it soon. That was 11 days ago. It has been 3 weeks since ordering and still no sign of my product. I received my order from the other hobby shop 2 weeks ago.

    Very disappointed in not receiving the item prior to Christmas Placed order on December 9, 2013. There was no indication that there was even a possibility that there would not be sufficient time to receive this item in over 2 weeks. I did call the company and question this when they informed me that it was coming from overseas, but was reassured that it would be received prior to Dec. 25th. When I had not received the item by Christmas Eve, it was necessary to purchase another item. I received the item on the 26th, and now have no use for it, nor do I have any indication of how it can be returned and my money refunded.

    Takes too long on delivery Supposed to be delivered from the States and found out that was shipped in France. Took 15 days, cost 1.5 € but i was charged $4. Besides that, I'm happy with the product.

    NOTHING BUT LIARS AND THIEVES Placed my order for two items that were stated as in stock with a delivery in 10 days from their US store. After I finished with the PayPal payment I was sent a conformation email that stated the items were overseas and to expect 15 business days for delivery. The items would be sent to their US location and then mailed out from there. They stated that the process to arrive at their facility would take 7-9 days. Already being frustrated with being lied to I emailed the company on day 10 to find out the status of the order. Their response was ""It appears that two of the products you have ordered is unavailable and unfortunately we do not know when it will be again. Following your request, we will refund USD 48,49 on your credit card or Paypal account.""At no point did I ask for a refund nor was there ever a refund! I ended up having to open a Paypal dispute that was escalated to a claim which I was awarded the money. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS ONLINE RETAILER-THEY ARE NOTHING BUT LIARS AND THIEVES!

    Provided needed item in reasonable time. I was trying to locate a specific ship model and was having no luck. I tried 1001modelkits and the item was there. I ordered it and was advised via e-mail that the model would have to be shipped from overseas to the warehouse in Arkansas and then to me. The item I wanted arrived eventually and in excellent condition. I was very pleased with my dealings with 1001modelkits.

    Good model kits at good prices! My purchased model kits arrived in excellent condition. The prices were, I felt, competitive. I wouldn't call the delivery speedy. But that's because of the distance they have to travel (from Europe). Then, too, the weather at this season slows delivery somewhat. If you are willing to wait a little you'll get the kits you want in fine condition and you'll get them at competitive prices. That's a bargain!

    5 stars for me but 2 stars from a relative who i recommended your site to. While I have to say I always had a great experience shopping with you, I was surprised when I had recommended your site to a relative who purchased the 1/350 Uss The Sullivans, intending to give it to me as a Christmas gift. He was told it was in another warehouse and charged his card the 59.00 for the kit. After two weeks he had not heard anything and tried to e-mail you but did not recive a reply. He also noted the price had dropped to 29.00$. Since he did not get a response to his emails he cancelled the order. Thanks for ""listening"" Phil

    Rubbish. Utter, unutterable rubbish. Their internet stock levels are a fiction. Their emails re unavailability do not agree with the items they actually send nor with later emails they send. When they do send something, they send the wrong items. Perhaps next time they should make sure the guide dog is awake when picking stock how an American landing craft can look like a Tiger II I don't know clever German camouflage I suspect. Avoid this firm like the plague. My advice is to buy from (external reference) in the UK. I will from now on.

    Excellent Products The models from 1001modelkits are excellent. The delivery was fine but you do have take in consideration that some items ship from overseas. However, every model builder knows that it does take time to get items. My items actually came in a few days earlier than expected. That made me happy, happy, happy. They do have models that are hard to find. All this together makes it a great experience and I will be ordering from them again in the near future.

    Extremely slow shipping I have ordered quite a bit from 1001 in the past, but lately am very disappointed with them. They claim free shipping on orders over $200, but they charge anyway. That's dishonest. When called on it, they issue a voucher. Not exactly the kind of thing which evokes confidence. It usually takes about a month before they finally ship, even though everything is in stock at time of ordering. This current order was paid for on the 19th of last month, and still shows a 'being processed' status. They don't respond to my emails, and I even called them at (617) 849-9224, only to get a recording stating that they will respond to all emails promptly... another lie. Basically, sad to say this, but I don't have much confidence in them anymore. Terrible customer service, terrible wait times for shipping, and their prices aren't even that competitive.

    Complete source with long ship times. I live in an area that has no hobby outlets. The nearest is over 75 miles. I use on-line systems a lot. My problem is that the shipping cost from these outlets makes small items cost prohibitive. I purchased Humbrol paints from this site and found that items in my order had to be shipped from England to an Arkansas Distribution point to me.
