  My order was delayed, then when I received it most of the labels were damaged or ripped off my items. Sent a note to customer service and they did nothing. I won't ever shop with you again.

  Terrible DONT BUY FROM HERE SEARCH ELSEWHERE! I got express shipping and received my order (a birthday present) a week after the party. When I contacted the company for help they basically told me they couldn’t do anything because I chose a shipping option without a tracking number. How exactly was I meant to know that express shipping didn’t come with a tracking number when it was not listed anywhere. I wasted 10$ just to receive my package on time. Very unprofessional as well , they gave me an update only when my payment went through and when my package was given to the courier but not after that I didn’t even get a notification my package was delivered (many days late) I definitely will not be putting my money into this company anymore and I suggest that you do not either. Search for the product you want elsewhere, you will most likely find it and the service will definitely be better than the one given here. I honestly should have been more careful but I only found the reviews after I had already ordered and all the negative ones had the same points. Definitely pay attention to the reviews and DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!

  Site easily navigated, materials sought were available, shipping speed was very good, especially as material was being shipped across the Atlantic.   Not really a problem per se. It would be nice if they gave package tracking information or an easier way to check on your order. Placed an order and I don't think I even got a confirmation email. No way to track order or arrival date. My order just showed up one day. Before it arrived, I was half afraid that I had been scammed.

  Overall a good experience. My only concern was the manner in which the item was packaged. It was not in a box, it simply had bubble wrap around it. To travel the distance it did without proper packaging is risky. Also the item could be plainly seen through the bubble wrap. I don't want my purchases visible to those who have no need of seeing it.

  I didn’t like this. I was excited for a model for my husband for Christmas that I ordered many weeks before. It arrived AFTER Christmas despite paying the extra for delivery. When contacting customer service, I am told to wait for someone then no one comes. The day someone answered was to tell me it’s coming still. No resolution whatsoever and the model came in a destroyed box. Very unprofessional

  1001 Hobbies has been a good source for tough to find European kits from makers like Heller models. While quite expensive, the Euro/ Dollar exchange rate is what it is. The average rating is because of their awful packaging for overseas shipping. Wrapping a very expensive kit with nothing but bubble wrap and tape?! Seriously?! For what I paid in the price of the kits and shipping, I was awe struck by the way my $100 Dollar order was shipped. I would gladly pay a little extra on top of the prices to have my orders properly boxed. It's more than a little disappointing to spend this kind of money to have the goods shipped so carelessly.

  Delivery time was acceptable considering where it was shipped from. However, communication was pathetic!! It took three emails to finally get a response from someone in France in broken English with a tracking number and how it was being delivered. Tracking was still a problem. I also tried calling the two U.S. phone numbers during normal business hours leaving a detailed message and return phone number. No one ever called. I would give customer service a rating of 0 out of 10. Otherwise, the item did arrive in good condition via USPS.

  I will focus on three aspects of this review on the shop: the website, the communication, and the shipping. The website is great! Everything is clear and easy to find and search. Nothing is glitchy and photos are very clear and descriptive of the item you're going to purchase. What you see in the picture is what you're going to get! The emails and communication is a bit awkward. The only original email I received when I made the purchase was the notification from PayPal, NOT Hobbies1001. So I had to screenshot the purchase confirmation on my browser and luckily I downloaded the invoice before closing the tab. I'm only bringing this up because most people immediately close the tab when they finish making a purchase and so if they don't download or screenshot the information, then they don't have any way of contacting with their invoice info. This was a pre-order item so when it was past two weeks after the estimated date I sent them an email. The response was within 24 hours and they assisted me easy and provided me with a shipping confirmation! So in some aspects they could improve with their communication and maybe create an automated system where we get the invoice in our email, especially considering they offer pre-order items. I waited 2 and a half months and I still had to send them an email about my item and I knew if I hadn't saved a screenshot of my invoice I wouldn't have that info when I inquired. But when I actually had to contact a person, it was quick and easy and they were very helpful! The shipping needs to be better. I was very disappointed. The package was literally just 2 layers of bubblewrap and packing tape with the label taped on top. The box of the figure was cracked open. Luckily the figure was fine but they really should have shipped with a cardboard box and packing paper. Collectors who display their figures in box would definitely be livid to see the box crushed in transit. Especially considering I paid $17 for shipping the least I expect is that it comes in a cardboard box.

  The website is very well organized and visually appealing, Each model has a number of images to select/view. Overall, I really liked the website but found the check-out process to be a bit confusing. It kept rejecting my credit card but never gave a reason for the decline. I was finally able to figure out the issue and successfully place the order. (I wish I could recall the decline issue, but I know it wasn't due to an issue with the card itself). It took about a month for delivery (to the USA), but I received periodic email updates about it's status during that time. The kit arrived intact despite the shipping box not having adequate cushioning material. Again, the website itself is great. Just some room for improvement in the shipping process.

  My experiences with 1001Hobbies have, generally been good. They have a very broad collection of models available, many of which are not carried by domestic sellers. After a little confusion their website is relatively easy to navigate, and, given the distances involved prompt prompt delivery and their products arrive intact. On the other hand their prices and processing charges are relatively high compared with domestic sellers, but not unreasonable given the distances involved. I was pleasantly suprised by their prompt response to a problem I had with one order.

  Service was fast, however the way the box was packed left a lot to be desired. The models box was wrapped in bubble wrap and looked like the postal employees played football with it. Every corner and one end received damage. The kit it's self wàs fine and in perfect condition. It's now part of the stash and eighth in line.

  Eduard kit arrived on time and on target, but packaging was merely bubble wrap over an un-shrink wrapped flimsey Eduard box. This packaging is insufficent for travel to Canada. The box was damaged, the contents visible to the delivery system, but somehow, it survived contact with reality and got to me.

  HORRIBLE experience! They sent me the wrong items and I had to pay super expensive taxes because of their mistake. They don't help to resolve the issue that they created.   My purchase was held in U.S. Customs because someone at 1001hobbies.com did not fill out complete paperwork. I was required to contact U.S. Customs and give information to them or it would not be released to me. This is NOT good business practice in the U.S. It is not good business practice anywhere. I will seriously have to reconsider before dealing with 1001hobbies.com again.
