  A top class service as always, this time from Silvio who was knowledgeable, friendly, efficient and helpful. I spoke to him on the phone to earmark a Nikon camera before to travel and he was there to greet me when I arrived at the showroom. He made the whole process, including checkout with a rare online pay, completely painless. I have purchased all of my gear from these guys since I started trading in 2016, highly recommended.

  All your favorite photographic equipment under one roof. Many items held in stock or readily available. Knowledgeable staff who are interested in photography. Nice affection, helpful service and happy to let you try things before buying. You may find some items cheaper elsewhere, but overall very competitive. When I buy an item from Willoughby's, I am confident it will arrive promptly and be from a USA source. Very important when buying a camera and lenses.

  A vast assortment of videography and photographic equipment. The sales assistant Silvio was very helpful and knowledgeable. He spent nearly chunks of time with us going through different cameras and getting different lens out for us to try. What was nice was that I didn't feel pressured into making a decision. Willoughby's just won another visitor's heart for a return-for-a-life👨🏿‍🤝‍👨🏿

  Just dropped into the Willoughby's Camera Emporium to purchase an Olympus lenses for myself. Assistant Andy fully explained the range of lenses available to fit my camera, this was the third time I have visited the show room which carries a wide range of photographic equipment that you can try before you buy on all visits the staff have been very helpful assisting me with my purchusae.

  Went To Willoughby's Emporium to trade-in all my Nikon gear and to get some new lightweight Leica Gear. The whole process was so easy and effortless. I was served by Silvio. he was very knowledgeable about all the products and gave very good advice about both old and new items.   I just wanted to order some up-to-date telescope, my existing ones dating form around 1970 when I studied Hubble. Department stores seem to have a limited range but a few specialist shops in New York, but Willoughby's at first glance of their website, seemed to have a large stock, but listed many of them as ‘5–7 days availability’. I don’t think you can buy something like telescopes without looking through them, so we went to Willoughby's at NYC. My main decision was whether to have 28X or 200X magnification, and then sort out the cost. I must have been talking to Silvio for at least an hour, running through the variations, but he was extremely knowledgeable, helpful. I thought these were somewhat obscure, but no, Silvio found them.

  Willoughby's is specialist photographic showroom selling new and used cameras and related accessories, plus repairs and rentals. Visited in here yesterday to pick up a novel tech lens. Could have spent hours in there but was on a trip to DC. Two old lenses traded in for a new one. More than fair price given. Dealt with Andy over the phone and when i arrived at the store. More than helpful. Nice to actually go into a store and talk to knowledgeable staff rather than online.. (even the 100 mile round trip weren't a pious exploration)!!

  Photography store for new and used cameras and equipment, including lenses, tripods and flashguns.Always a magnificent looking window display, always a friendly welcome and a good technical chat. Well stocked and gives a feel of an old school camera shop. Online is pretty cool too. The used camera section is worth a look :)

  Superb service. At Willoughby's, these guys are awesome especially the younger agent named Andy. I purchased a Panasonic Lumix GH5 4K Digital Camera from them a few months back now and have returned to pick an extra lens for it. They are detailed to anyone who walks through the door unless they are busy with other customers or on the phone. If this is the case they will acknowledge you in a friendly manner. The staff are never condescending or snobbish about what you do. I was an amateur through and through with my photography and I have never once felt discomfort posing preposterous or obvious questions. There are alternative camera shops in New York but my experiences haven't been as positive. They will beat most online prices as well which is excellent as you can see/use the products before purchasing them. Ignore all negative reviews. These guys are awesome!

  Willoughby's is a place filled with a great number and variety of strange or precious optics items. Purchased 5D mkii and and an SX500, looked online then got in touch over the phone, managed to get an excellent deal, 5D was in pristine shape. Well satisfied with service and how prompt delivery was. Quite an Eden for photography for a beginner or mental budgeting professionals!

  I purchased an Olympus lense from Willoughby's Center through their portal which arrived earlier unexpectedly. When I called the seller for pre-purchase evaluation to distinguish many brands, the question was resolved decisively, I had my new item delivered from their warehouse to Atlanta within a short time. The item was as described and in good condition. I am satisfied with the service I received from Willoughby's Emporium.

  Specialist store selling compact and digital cameras, camcorders, telescopes and accessories. Visited this place a Silvio the salesperson who served us. His treasure of knowledge regarding all the various systems was pretty amazing! This is an outstanding camera shop, I will make sure I stop by next time I am in the area. A very satisfied customer indeed, I took home a new Pentax K-01 APS-C and 50mm lens for my profession and i'm over drooling the item !

  The best customer care and service.   Perfect service. I had problems at their virtual checkout but picked it up a few days later from the shop with no problems. The team are great, they are competent enthusiasts with a lot of knowledge and good advice! If you like your cameras, this is the place to go. Very helpful staff with a lot of knowledge, also have a good collection of used digital and film cameras. If you like film (35 or 120) get it from here!

  despite these guys being in my city, today was my first visit and must say I was very impressed. Very warm, friendly approach by the staff made me feel at ease. Unbeatable price's and a much better experience than shopping online, talked me through my needs & gave me options with no sale pressure which is what I like. I hate it when you get a pushy sales person that makes you feel stupid, & these guys were far from that, offering tips and advice instead. 10 out 10 from me today & will be a returning customer & would definitely recommend.

  Great service! Mom-and-pop family store in a convenient location. My sensor had grease beneath the sensor glass, so cleaning myself was out of the question and YouTube videos said this could be a write off as far as my 5Dmk3 was concerned. For an extremely reasonable price Willoughby's repaired it perfectly, even though it was clearly a very delicate and frustrating task to undertake! Will be taking all of my repairs and servicing here in the future, thanks guys!

  Willoughby's is excellent when it comes to camera repairs and maintenance. They have just repaired, resurrected would be a better word, my Canon 70-200mm 2.8 lens. The sharpness was insufficient in some regions, and focusing wasn't great. He discovered that the lens I had purchased brand new, out of the box had been taken apart before I bought it. Internal work was done and they then applied packing tape around the circumference of the lens barrel before reassembling. I think I purchased it in Calgary when I was working a lot in Canada. It was from a shop I bought a lot of equipment from at that time and appeared to be very reliable and honest.

  I would highly recommend Willoughby's Emporium Repairs after I sent both my Leica M2 for shutter curtain issues, and a major shutter dial and winder issues to Craig. The service was quick. I did not have to wait so long (only 1 week). The service fee is reasonably priced and from my experience, the peace of mind that the camera will be repaired/fixed in no time. If you have a camera or any photography gear that needs servicing, contact Willoughby's Repairs! You will not regret it!

  Serviced and cleaned my Hasselblad 500cm and 50mm lens. I would not trust taking my camera anywhere else to get it fixed. Definitely gained a repeat customer. Clean jobmer. I have recommended Aquila to fellow photographers who have had the same good and trusted experience. Highly recommended!

  I placed an order yesterday after the cutoff for that days dispatch. Then received an email to say order had been dispatched. Checked tracking this morning and it is on the local carrier to be delivered today. I have never had such amazing fast dispatch and delivery ever!! 24 hours and the items were in my hand.It is the first time I have placed an order with Willoughb's, but if that and the phone service that I received is any indication, you will be my first option in the future. 10/10

  I've purchased from these guys several times. They have a great range of camera accessories including batteries, lenses, tripods, lights, camera bodies, memory chips and more. They stock tools of trade for panoramic photographers which I had previously never heard of but I now highly rate the brand. I purchased a Sunwayfoto DDP-64SiX Indexing Rotator and it is such excellent quality that it pans beautifully smooth despite not being a fluid head. Perfect for video.

  Hi All, What an iconic shop...learned and knowledgeable people....I've bought a lot of gear from these guys now and keep going back....There should be more shops like this one in NEW YORK....Prices are very competitive.....I recently bought a Nikon 24-70mm lens...its was around $500 less than other places.....delivered in a day........I'd recommend this shop .... Also want to add....the negative fodder in some Google reviews must be the jealous competition as I have been to the shop many times and just see many happy customers there.....

  Got lens for my camera ! i was skeptical about the warranty and service initially after reading some old reviews. But then went ahead and bought the lens and found it comes with genuine comprehensive warranty. The products are well priced and will be the cheapest you can find in NYC.   I have a Canon EOS 600D with a single kit lens. Seeing the unbeatable price here, I bought a Sigma 17-50 f2.8 OS lens online.   Quick response , I asked if I was to purchase a item would it be covered by any insurance and was told that if paid with PayPal it would be covered, good on you PayPal. Just received my Fuji XT-3 and was happy with the way the transaction went through without a hitch,the staff were helpful and great to do business with,at the time Willoughby's were the lowest price in New York and that's not all, I was able to claim a rebate from Fujifilm for purchasing in the US enjoying Fujifilm life that also enables you d got 2 years warranty for to upload Photos for storage

  After considerable research, I decided to buy a Sony alpha a6000. Rather than make a web purchase, I rang them and asked availability. I was told that the particular kit that I was wanting would be in on Friday around. As I wanted to travel, I delayed my trip in order to pick up as was keen to use the camera while away. When I arrived the kit had not arrived and wasn't going to be delivered until that afternoon. I was offered an inferior option, which I declined so left disappointed. After the weekend, I decided I would still buy the camera and kit. I was unable to pick-up until Tuesday, which I did. This time it went off without a hitch and the transaction was easy. However was a little surprised there was no mention of the initial stuff-up.

  I ordered a messenger bag from Willoughby's via their website, and the speed of delivery is on another level. Ordering on Christmas Eve, I anticipated getting my bag in the first week of January, if not later. To my luck, I received my package on the 27th, the first business day after the Christmas/Boxing Day public holidays!   One of the first-class services I have received. Main reasons are: 1. They did the price match & that guaranteed me to have the cheapest deal over the best lense ( LUMIX G X Vario 12-35mm f/2.8) for Panasonic users. Saved lots of money. 2. They arranged the order within one business day 3. They even upgraded faster focus tracking via a 240 fps linear motor for improved video performance. 4 Andy, Craig & Silvio were very friendly & supportive. Service with smiles.   Really excellent communicators. Tried getting a camera from a different company and waited a month to be told they are not restocking it.   I have shopped online again and had another pleasurable experience. Even though they have been under a lot of pressure due to their recent sales and processing my order took a little longer than usual, they answered my emails within 24 hrs and were very polite and apologetic.   I bought a Panasonic Lumix DC-GH5 Mirrorless Camera Body from Willoughby's I noted a discrepancy between the item price when searching initially on their site and then bringing up that searched item. I called them and they adjusted to the lower price for the item. Its good to be able to contact a site by phone to make queries and finalize a sale. Goods arrived quickly and in good order.

  I bought a Orion's SkyQuest XT4.5 Dobsonian telescope to go spot Saturn's rings with my wife, and she is delighted with it. They allow her to quickly spot bands at low mag and find the plane and be instantly in focus. She wears glasses but the telescope works for her without her glasses. It is light and weather proof and just what he needed. A word of caution, they do not work for close up viewing, but work very well for distances beyond 30m or so. Willoughby's had them at a competitive price and my order was processed that day and dispatched, even though it was between Chrisrmas and New Year. They were sent on a Friday and arrived Monday morning. I am a very satisfied customer and I can recommend Willloughby's based on my experience with them.

They had a really great boxing day package for my brand new Sony Cybershot RX100 M3. Customer Service was very prompt and efficient when I had to change my delivery option.   The oldest photography store in New York, and probably the best place to go if you want to find the best for your photography and videography needs. The sales personnel are extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and will guide you in making the right purchase. Unlike most stores which just cater to the consumer and prosumer, Willoughby's also retails professional equipment for printing, color calibration and video needs for the professionals.

  They have one of the most biggest collection of photography and videography equipment in the US. Full range from low, mid & high end equipment. All the staff are very accommodating, honest and very knowledgeable of all the equipment they offer. They will assist you and help you make a decision on what you want and need. They are always very considerate of the customers interest. Don't forget to ask if there are any on-going promotions but chances are they will tell you anyway. Location is easy to locate and quite accessible from the SUBWAY station.

  Willoughby's is the leading camera digital retailer in New York. They never try to upsell you anything. At the first visit, I bought a $10 red light filter for GoPro, Adorama had offered it for $75!. Saw some nice electronic gadgets in the shop. Went with intention of seeing ended buying a small pocket camera. They explain patiently. Good shop

  I worked with Andrew on optimizing a DJI Ronin camera stabilizer; he was great to deal with. Sharp, professional, and he knows his stuff. Pretty dope lineup of products, too. They're tough and if you're lucky they can withstand having a human fall on them. Stupid mud.

  The staff were friendly and helpful, the only issue being that they sold me the wrong kind of filter for the camera (although that's partially because the camera doesn't take the standard). Had no issues exchanging the item in store. The no refunds policy is nail-biting, but if you're sure you want cameras or gear you can always exchange for store credit. Overall not too bad, decent experience.

  Ordered a lens for my X Pro here a while back. Customer service was first rate, the guy even helped me fix some stubborn bug on my X Pro body for me.   I have always purchased my cameras at this store (and always will). Not only do they remain equal in pricing to their online competitors, they also have a 30-day price guarantee. Another reason to buy locally from this store is for warranty purposes. If anything goes wrong, they will take care of it for me. I was so satisfied I actually ordered my dream lens from this shop. If you're a POINT N SHOOT buyer this is the place to order! Note that States that have esoteric laws get the full tax on purchases.   Went into willoughby's today to just check out a good telephoto lens for my new camera. They had a huge selection of lenses and camera gear, it was neat, clean and most of all they give great customer service.   Ultimately incredible camera shop! When you walk in the door its like getting your foot into another world, just for cameras! I was greeted by staff immediately. The same person took us around the shop got us what we needed immediately and made his sale. After making a sale the store clerk was still super helpful. He took us around the store and educated us on a few cameras and lenses. Highly recommend stopping here for all your camera needs in New York.

  LOVED this place when I was in New York! Sadly I dropped my camera on the floor and the lens slipped a gear and would not focus. They even threw in treats with snacks & water & coffee all free-of- charge. They provide plenty of parking on-site, this shop is under two miles from a Train Station and is also well served by several bus routes. The NYC retail showroom was custom-built in 2008 to accommodate 1000’s of products spanning entire ranges of photography and video equipment, including Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Sony, DJI drones & GoPro. I recently visited the thriving second hand camera and lens department for a used lense, stock is updated daily.
