William Painter delivered the wrong pair of sunglasses. When I pointed this out they sent me an email saying that they had a computer mishap and that it would be corrected. Though I have checked back, both by email and phone, numerous times I have yet to receive any sort of response. They have not even refunded the difference in cost between what I ordered and what was delivered̬_̬__̬_̬___ which seems like the absolute least they could do. I usually prefer smaller companies but William Painter appears to be absolute trash. Avoid them!

Bought 1 pair of "The Hook" glasses with free delivery. Because of the way the glasses were sent, it got to customs and was added taxes almost 50% as costly as the original price of the glasses. I paid for it and was not happy about it. After less than 6 months of usage (and to be honest, not that much use since i have several pairs of sunglasses by other brands) the paint in one of the glasses temples started to come off like it was painted by amateurs. Contacted services and a new pair was sent... again it stopped in customs, and again customs wanted me to pay almost 50$ for delivery. I refused and contact service to see if they could send a new pair with already the taxes paid (it is possible.... eBay doest it all the time). Another pair was sent and again customs added taxes that i needed to pay for delivery. Again i refused, and after much emailing, I was reimbursed of the money i paid (not including the taxes i paid for delivery). Won't order anything from this again.... will continue to order from Hawkers and Wolfnoir, which seem to know how to deliver glasses without added taxes, and a product without flaws.

Why would I pay $165 for $10 sunglasses?

At 145.00, why wouldn't you buy Ray Bans? I doubt these have a better guarantee. Also, is that a bottle opener on the ear piece? I'm sure someone will try to use it as one. It makes sense when I think about it, though. You have to be drunk to drop 145.00 on these after reading the "awesome" reviews. Go buy some Ray Bans, not these POS.

I ordered a pair of the Hook sunglasses and was sent a pair of the Sloan wayfarer glasses instead of what I had ordered. Not normally a big deal, but when I attempted to chat with Sean on the site, he couldn't help me at all. He took my info a said that someone would be in touch...nothing so far. There is a price difference of $60 in the two pair of glasses and he couldn't even pull up my order to see if I had indeed ordered the right pair. I have a statement from paypal that says I paid $145 and it even says The Hook glasses were what I had ordered. Now I'm told that they won't send my glasses until I return their mistake back to them, but there was no return label to send them back (free returns?). When I was chatting with Sean, he sent me an address to send them back, again no return label, but when I looked at my statement receipt, it had a completely different return address. If they ever fix this problem, I assure you that I will NEVER do business with them again! Good luck and look elsewhere!

They are VERY tight on the sides, I feel like i'm getting a headache wearing these. In addition, the hook is RIGHT by my ears, so it looks like i have a circle or something - it's just awkward looking from the side, and very very tight. Wish the hook wasn't so far back by the ears.

I returned these because I didn't like the feel of them. It's a good idea though and I can see it working out good for some.
