I bought these to act as low light driving glasses as yellow lens glasses are great for that. These turn out to be just yellow in appearance and do nothing to improve low light driving (storms, fog, dawn/dusk ect.). They are just sun glasses with a yellow colour on the lens. Disappointing really. Whilst I got good sun glasses out of this purchase, they are not what I was expecting. They actually suck at low light intensity enhancement.

I bought it as replacement of "The Hook" which is made of Titanium. It is a pity that the Hook is not deliverable at the moment. Nevertheless you cannot compare the titaniumframe of the hook with the material from the sloan. Also the fitting is not the same. BUT the Service Team of William Painter is just great! They really helped me with the ordering of some new glasses and it really feels like lifetime warranty even in Case of loosage!! :)

Good quality glasses but they are very front heavy. The frames around the lenses are super thick and the glasses want to fall off when I lean forward. Good quality for sure and the lenses are nice, but I had to give them away because they just weren't working for me.

I got my Sloans in the mail recently, and generally, I do like them. They're lightweight and look good. They do, however, have the feel of cheap $15 glasses. They're not made of acetate as written on the website. Nylon, maybe, but I'm pretty sure they're actually just cheap plastic. They come with one of those little "made in China" stickers on the frame that screams "I got these at a knock-off market for $2 in Thailand". That's essentially what they are - $120 plastic Wayfarer knockoffs. The fit is good, and the lenses seem good too, so for now, I'm generally happy with them. I'm not running out the door telling my friends to pick up a pair of William Painters though. In most of the pictures on the website they appear to have gloss frames - not so. They have a plasticy matte finish. I'm starting to wonder why I'm giving three stars lol. What can I say, they look good. That's about 95% why you buy sunglasses, right? The design is there, quality seems not to be. Decision is up to you. I will say that the hinges on the arms seem very well built, so that's a plus. I might end up deciding they're better than I'm giving them credit for.

The sunglasses fit and look great. They are obviously very high quality and will last a while. However, the legs on mine seem to be very loose. They seem to be quite flimsy and they move about with the smallest pressure. After only having them a few week this is quite disappointing. I am unaware if this is an issue with all pairs or specifically the one I purchased. Overall these glasses would be a 5/5 without the loose, wobbly legs.

I like the look of them but they are too small for my face - so I'll probably have to return them

The Sloan Glasses are great, a glasses, but without the polarization needed to protect from UV rays, I can̬_̬__̬_t justify wearing them. I take responsibility for buying them and missing the fact that they weren̬_̬__̬_t polarized but I feel like it should be a little more emphasized.

We all think titanium will make things light, but that's only compared to steel. Compared to plastic, it's quite a bit heavier. It just takes getting used to, and arguably, they are better balanced front-to-back because the lenses are now a smaller fraction of the total weight. The titanium is durable, so I expect them to last a long time. The bottle openers are a neat idea, but I have yet to actually need one. I got lucky with the size, as they almost perfectly fit my big head. They pinch just for a second as I push them on, but then feel pretty secure once they're on. I hear some noise as I flex the hinges like the lenses are bending or might pop out. My last comment is that I'm used to glasses with more eye coverage. The style of these is such that light invades my eyes from all directions except straight ahead. I'll probably wear a brimmed hat more to compensate.
