The first time I spent more than 20$ for sunglasses and I must admit, I was a bit nervous. The first order got lost along they way through German customs, but the customer service was super fast and helpful (thanks for that!) and less than 2 days after my Email, the replacements were on their way. Two months after my first order (German customs work very thoroughly) I finally received my sunglasses and they are definitely worth waiting for: Amazing built quality and super comfortable to wear!

Was not expecting these glasses to be so lightweight, you can wear them comfortably for hours no problem. The design and the finish is awesome and they go with everything. Easily better quality than anything else out there. .... No Contest!!

I have ocular lens implants (as a result of injury) and don't require corrective lenses anymore, so I invest my eyewear dollars in top-of-the-line sunglasses. The first pair I bought--at the recommendation of my optometrist--were a $300 pair of M*** J****. (My edit.) These are my "seeing" sunglasses; mainly for driving, I wear them when I need confidence I'm seeing everything I need to, EXACTLY as things are. But these glasses, as good as the lenses are, are fragile. I've been very concerned about damaging them while wearing them during other activities. Then I saw the William Painter ads. EXACTLY what I need! I must wear sunglasses when outdoors due to light sensitivity which triggers migraines--only made more intense by the lens implants--so an indestructible pair was ideal for my needs! Now, I haven't sat on them, or been hit in the face by a golf ball, or tested their durability in any meaningful way as yet. But I can attest to their obvious high quality and craftsmanship. These are clearly extremely sturdy glasses. I am about to build a chicken coop, (right after I finish this review, actually,) and my Empires will be my go-to eyewear during that project! I will say that while I'm sure they'll hold up to whatever activity I subject them to, the lenses do not have the clarity of the $300 pair I use when driving. But I didn't buy my William Painter's for that purpose. The clarity is on par with a very good pair of sport sunglasses, and are great for everyday use for me. Buy a pair and see for yourself!

Size and build were spot on. The lenses are crystal clear and definitely scratch resistant. I hope you guys create a new series.

Out of the box these were a great fit, i bought The Hook and i loved them so much i was afraid of opening a bottle with them and marking them in some way. After a few weeks i finally started using them to open bottles...Love It! and still looks great!!
