  A photo hobbyist 1st choice store. Wayfield & Sons is my go-to choice always. The depth of selection is wonderful, the prices on new equipment is very good and the selection on used and refurbished quality items is fantastic. It has made my entry into photography as a new hobbyist enjoyably affordable. A special thanks for their instructional videos. Wayfield & Sons has a lot of accomplished professionals willing to present their career knowledge on many topics. All this things make this Canon Rebel T7 user a dedicated fan.

  Great to have a camera shop like this Manhattan. Proper Aladdin's cave. The ability buy second hand and trade up, and to talk to staff who know things, is invaluable. Bet some big photographic careers start at this very shop.

  Getting close up Bought the Laowa 100mm lens to get closer to insects. It works! Although it is heavy and lacks autofocus, I’ve still been able to hand-hold it. It arrived promptly and I though the price was pretty reasonable. Very few lenses give you twice life size magnification.

  Excellent place. I bought a Mamiya RZ67 Pro II here and it was in lovely condition. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly and are always happy to offer advice. The in-store selection is much wider than the products listed on their site. Perhaps this is a deliberate attempt to get customers to drop in regularly to see what new stock they have... if so, it works!! I stop by every time I’m in the area. Great place.

  Wayfield & Sons is my "Go-to." For more than 10 years I have relied upon Wayfield to supply my needs for film, presentation materials, chemistry, and auxiliary equipment. Manufacturers have wandered from the trail, but I have a large freezer full of the stuff I really need. Meanwhile, Wayfield continues to provide the "prosumer" stuff that enables successful photography.

  Read all the good reviews and about how satisfied most people are with their service but unfortunately, I cannot agree with the reviews at all. I Ordered my Rode NT1 Microphone without any problems and was very happy with the customer service. The problem is that Only after one month of use the Microphone started making windy noises, when I contacted them they seemed not to care and I also realized The return policy they display is a total lie. STAY AWAY!!!!

  Having just set up my own Estate Agency in Manhattan , I felt it was time I invested in a new camera to showcase the properties I'm pushing in the market. I needed someone's expert help in which camera was the best for the job and felt rather than buying online and gambling on which one to buy, I'd pay Wayfield & Sons a visit. The gentleman that served me was extremely helpful, really knowledgeable and took the time to show me how the camera worked and set it up for me. After finding out how long the shop has been there for and the hard work he's put in over the years through recessions and the number of people visiting New York dropping. I really wanted to highlight their hard work and passion for photography. Shop local and you'll not be disappointed :)

  I am semi-pro sports photographer and tech geek. I have been buying from Wayfield & Sons for about 10 years now and have never had an issue. Generally, prices are better than anywhere else. I live in Texas so my experience has been on-line or over the phone and both experiences have been great. This year I did a video chat to ask some questions add it was great. The website is really easy to use and love the videos. I recommend Wayfield & Sons to other photographers and also to anyone looking for electronics.   Recently ordered a new Sigma lens from Wayfield and Sons, and the service could not have been better.   I'm really happy with my Manfrotto Tripod, it took about 2 days for them to deliver and The price was very fair and the cheapest I could find .The tripod Works perfectly with my dslr camera for taking product photos and am 100% happy with the purchase.   Highly recommended. So far the customer support from Wayfield and sons was responsive and helpful and overall Am Very happy with my DJI Pocket Gimbal from Wayfied and sons. It took nearly 3 days from me placing the order to delivery, which was estimated before making the order, The camera is Easy to carry and start anytime. I paired the camera with a flexible tripod and was pleased with how well my video came out. Great experience.

  Happy with my purchase. After having some technical issues with my DSLR camera, I got in touch with the team at Wayfield and sons who were extremely helpful in terms of both advising me on a number of options, they recommended a Canon 5D Mark IV camera which is excellent and it's features met all my expectations, I was able to use it right away with no issues as it was a very easy transition from my Mark III.   The hands on displays of the Leica cameras is so helpful, and the single staff member was very knowledgeable, but the poor guy was run off his feet with six customers in the store and a single salesperson. Great if you just want to be left alone to browse though!

  It’s a hit and miss. I’ve been there twice for a camera I purchased at the time. First time was an older gentleman who was patient and really lovely to talk to. Second time was some kinda of manager who was arrogant and seemed like he couldn’t give a toss about the sales. It always amazes me that some sales person feel like they can look down on the customers just because products are expensive. Mate, you don’t own it. You just sell it.

The U.S. Army Reserve, the federal military reserve force of the United States has been doing business with Wayfield & Sons for over ten years.   I shoot a ton of high school sports in low light gyms and night football games. I purchased the Canon R5 to upgrade from 1DX MkII, sales person was knowledgeable on pixel and noise. Excellent, friendly and efficient service. My r5 arrived within 24 hours. The camera has many features and is easy to use. The Canon warranty is for both the USA and Canada. It would be a one year manufacturer warranty covering manufacturer defects.

  Buying is straightforward and fast. Good service. Very well packed. I was very disappointed with the trade-in price I was offered, but they have to think about what will sell, I suppose. Surprised that a well reviewed lens from a major after-market maker wasn't even quoted for. Minimal communication too.

  Two Oben QR-20 quick release plates Wayfield & Sons customer service was exceptional with determining the exact replacement part I needed. The Wayfield's salesperson knew exactly what I needed and the had a quick release plate in stock. I ordered the plate and it arrived promptly. The Oben QR-20 plates are high quality, and are priced a bit less than the Benro plates. Also, Wayfield & Sons offers a quantity discount for two or more Oben plates.

  Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 IS for indoor shows This is a great lens. I now use it more than any other lens I own. It takes great wide shots and and it also takes quite good pictures even out to 20mm. I would highly recommend it. I got it at a great price from Wayfield and I highly recommend it.

  Vello Shutterboss II Great addition When I called Wayfield &Sons, the Vello was recommended. As a novice to intermediate photographer I was a bit sceptical as it would be too complex.   Excellent Quick Release Plate Another great piece from Wayfield & Sons. As happens with loose equipment parts, I lost the plate. Was so happy to find it here at Wayfield, knowing that I could trust its quality and delivery time.   Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II Tilt-Shift Lens I waited for the lens to go on sale when it did I purchased it it was a great price and a great Buy. The lens is slightly heavy but very solid the pictures at 24 mm are astonishing I cannot wait to take this lens out on the road to give it a full test but as of now completely satisfied with the quality and workmanship. Wayfield & Sons shipped the lens in 2 days very happy with their service as well.

  I own a Nikon fit Sigma 150-600 contemporary lens that I wanted to use on a Nikon DSLR camera and contacted WAYFIELD & SONs technical support who suggested the D500 DSLR, which was in my price range. I purchased a D500 from WAYFIELD and are very pleased with the results I am now getting.

I recently purchased a tripod with a Manfrotto grip action fluid ball head but the quick release plate was missing.   Sony a7R IIIA Mirrorless Camera This camera is amazing. I've been looking for a camera for awhile now and once I saw the Sony 7R III I knew my search had ended.
