  I had 3 drive failures in a day and I lost critical data from my original and the backups. I tried and failed to recover it on my own and needed expert help. I looked for a resource I could trust with my data and someone that had the proven expertise to do the job and Secure Data came through in every way. I described my issue with Eric D and he walked me through the options. Eric made me feel comfortable with the process and accurately set my expectations on the recovery, cost and time it would take. He was there and responsive to my inquires each and every time. While this event was a serious and negative one on my end, it ended up a good story; all my data was recovered and restored to a new drive, in a timely fashion and sent back safely and securely. The team at secure data was professional, sensitive to my needs and came through for me. I can't thank them enough.

  Secure Data Recovery helped me restore my data when my phone broke completely after it fell into water. It wouldn't charge, wouldn't respond or connect to a computer. There were several years of photos and videos, in addition to all my contacts, and I was devastated! Secure Data Recovery say that they can recover data when nobody else can't, and this is absolutely true! I came to them after I tried other companies who said my data were lost forever. Now I have my data back and I cannot be more grateful to Eric and the Secure Data Recovery team!

  I dropped a hard drive while cleaning my workspace and thought I was in trouble. The hard drive was pretty messed up and I thought all my data was gone. Secure data recovery took my hard drive, analyzed it, and sure enough, it was as bad as I thought it was. There was damage to the internals, the platter was scratched and the inside of the drive was contaminated from dust and metal filings from being kept in my workshop. They almost completely restored it... which is super impressive. It was a big job but for the services they provided, I think the price was pretty reasonable. Thanks guys, for your hard work and expertise.

  We had an external hard drive that was inadvertently reformatted. Initially we went the "D-I-Y---Do-It-Yourself" route unfortunately the hard drive began to degrade due to its age. We researched a handful of businesses that advertised their capabilities with handling technical components. Secure Data Recovery is the company we chose to do business with. Based on their performance with our external hard drive we say without hesitation they are a top-notch service company. With a customer-focused approach they provided an efficient and transparent process from beginning to end. The helpfulness of account representative Elliot provided clear communication throughout. We don't wish to repeat our loss of data situation, however if we ever run across anyone facing what we did surely we will recommend Secure Data Recovery. We appreciate them tremendously!

  I worked with Eric on a recovery for a single drive and he kept me posted every step on the status of recovery. Recovery was quick and they recovered all of the files I needed as well. Overall the process was honestly pretty painless and I didn't have any doubts about the recovery of my data either.   The whole process of recovering my data went very smoothly and fast. I liked that they offered different options for the data recovery and how fast I needed it back. My Service Account Manager was there all the way and made sure I was informed of every step. They were very communicative. All data has been recovered from my phone. There were years of pictures and somehow, they didn't save to the cloud. So, a real lifesaver.

  I don't usually leave reviews but I had to for Secure Data. They did what I wasn't sure anybody could do. I had already had some people look at my lost drive and tell me there wasn't much that could be done. I decided to try and find help and THANK GOD I found Secure Data. Kyle was amazing and walked me through the process. They saved my data and they did it in just a couple of days. I honestly thought years of work and money were lost. Secure Data brought it back. If you've lost data, call them!!! You will be glad you did.

  Not only did they save all my data from one of my important clients, but they were amazing to work with. They responded almost instantly from the time I submitted a request and from there they were easy to work with and helped explain the process and talked through options as well. I tried a local company first and they were the opposite, almost as if they were holding the info hostage where as Secure Data was amazing and helpful, especially understanding the people they are dealing with had just lost a lot of important data.   Secure Data recovery Services is God sent! My phone was completely destroyed to the point of no return, no way of turning it on, and the computer wouldn’t even recognize it as a device. I had little hope, and was desperate. I had photos and videos that had not been backed up due to no memory and honestly such a busy schedule, I know my fault. Never the less, I thought I had lost so many memories, my wedding, vacations, the birth and first years of my children, and most of all, photos of my deceased stillborn daughter that were not in any other device or media platform. The thing I lost that I treasured most was a recording of her heart beat. I was desperate, and gave Secure Data Recovery Services a try. This kind soul by the name of Kyle has been there with me every step of the way, doing all he could to help, explaining every step, working with my needs and budget plans when life just seemingly kept throwing punches.   Timothy Rutan's customer service was outstanding! He was able to reduce the estimated cost from over $2,000 to about half, but, sadly it was too expensive for me.   I’ve been working on a large project that had several layered Photoshop files that it taken me weeks to work on. I was working at a quick pace because it was a new drive. It was super fast, and I was mistakenly not backing up. Unfortunately, the raid drive failed on me And regular desktop recovery techniques did not bring back the files completely, nor did it keep links between the design files and the image files. To re-create all of this and then to re-link everything to the design files would’ve been a nightmare. Fortunately Secure Data Recovery was not able to only find my files, but keep them in the file structure. They existed in initially saving me a ton of work. I would highly recommend them.

  Data was recovered. I contracted with SDR to do this work because of their reputation and convincing description of their process. My concern with the service now is that I was invoiced and paid for 2nd day air via FedEx. According to the tracking, it was sent standard delivery and is now scheduled to be delivered 5 days later. I requested a shipping refund and got this link to opine on the service. Will I get a refund?

  I had a flash drive that would not open that I did not have a backup for. There were some critical records I but I was worried about finding someone secure to recover the files. I found Secure data and did some research which included the BBB and local municipality. All came back positive and they had great reviews so I moved forward. Kyle was very communicative and kept me updated via phone and email. I’m not a rich man and Secure worked with me and I couldn’t be happier with the results and service.   Without any warning, I had a hard drive with more than two years of work suddenly stop working.   I was initially very hesitant about the process given the cost and some mixed reviews posted elsewhere. Still, Eric was great at guiding me through the process, explaining the cost and making sure I was fully informed of how my data was being handled. They were upfront about the likelihood of recovery and their estimated timeline for work done was accurate. Only reason I'm giving 4.5 stars is cost but at the same time the cost reflects the quality of the service and short turnaround time!

  I want to thank the kind people at Secure Data Recovery for all their hard work in saving the thousands of photos, videos, & audio on my badly damaged storage device. It held so many memories of family members, pets, (that have passed away) & the apartment I lived in for 52 years before having to move out a few years ago, as well as other happy memories I had stored on the device, & I had no hard copies of any of it. I was heart broken when I found out they may be lost for good, until I contacted Secure Data Recovery & explained my situation, & my low income. They were able to retrieve all of my lost data, except for one small file, which wasn't important, compared to the many thousands they recovered. I went into this believing I had no chance of getting back all these memories, but after talking with a gentleman named Eric, I came away feeling much more confident, that there was a good chance I'd see my photos, videos, & audio again.   I have been impressed with Scott McMacken and the Secure Data team. I reached out to Secure Data with an external hard drive failure. The drive was greater than 10 years old and I was having trouble accessing some of my files. The next day the drive would not read at all. Neither local computer repair shops, nor Best Buy had the means to repair it. Thankfully Secure Data and their team + clean room were able to make a full recovery of hundreds or thousands of files. Scott has been highly communicative throughout the entire process. I am thankful their team has been able to ease my worries and ensure my treasured memories were not lost.   We have 5 kids so we have a lot of pictures. We pulled out our backup hard drive to start putting together a few photo albums of our 3rd child who was a couple of months from high school graduation. We were excited to begin putting together the photos only to discover we couldn’t access them. After close inspection of the hard drive we realized it was dented so someone must have dropped it without our knowledge. We had about 10 years worth of photos on the hard drive and we were devastated at the thought of loosing all of those family photos. We took it to a local computer repair shop and they were unable to recover the photos. After much research online we found Secure Data Recovery and mailed them the hard drive. They contacted us about 1 week after mailing it and let us know that all 24,000+ pictures were recoverable!! The same day they let us know that they were able to recover all of the photos they completed the project and put the new hard drive in the mail. We were anticipating spending a lot more than what it cost and we will receive the new drive with all 24000 photos in plenty of time before our son’s high school graduation. Thank you Secure Data Recovery!! The thought of loosing 10 years worth of family pictures was more than depressing!!

  I had a great experience with Secure Data Recovery Services recently and wanted to share in case anyone else has a similar issue. My mom’s phone battery expanded, making the phone totally inaccessible, and it had years’ worth of photos and files I was really worried about losing. I contacted Secure Data Recovery Services via their website and got a call back within 15 minutes. Everyone I worked with was super professional and patient with my situation. I also had some questions about submitting an insurance claim for a new phone, and they were very experienced in dealing with that, which was a big help. They did a quick initial assessment and were flexible with payment options. In the end, they were able to recover all of the important files, and I felt really confident in their ability to do so.   I had a drive from 2003 that has been through a lot of tough conditions since being inoperable since 2013. Seasonal temperature swings, being dropped, and otherwise dormant for over a decade.   We had archived off a shelved project and the drive was used to archive off entire project. Securely stored the 5 GB of project data as a complete backup. 6 years later, When we revived the project and went to restore files the archive drive was dropped and would no longer respond. Panic time! All we had was partial backups. A call to Secure Data Recovery assured us the files could at least partially recovered. And no recovery means no charge. They managed to recover all the files and get the original drive running again. Project saved and now I have a second backup like I should have done the first time.

  My sister had an external Toshiba drive with important MAC files on it. The drive would power on when plugged into USB, but I never heard the drive spinning, and it wouldn't come up as a drive ever. Tried on multiple machines (Mac and Windows) , many times over the years. Finally decided to reach out to Secure Data and they were able to diagnose and find the *hardware problem* in the drive. They were able to recover all the files onto a *new* drive, which they then shipped to us. Throughout the process the communication with the staff was excellent and the steps I needed to take to move each process forward were clear. Our photographer for my daughter's senior photos had an SD card issue and could not produce the outdoor photos taken at sunset at the lake my daughter grew up going to.   I have used Secure Data twice now and couldn't be more pleased with their work. Last year, Elliot was very responsive to my inquiry when I needed to restore my father in laws corrupt external drive. They turned it back to me within a week. Earlier this month, I had a similar issue with 2 HD external drives with family photos and videos on them. I reached out to Elliot again and got me into the queue to restore my data. I highly recommend their work!

  Secure Data really did a great drive recovering data from a traditional, spinning disk, external drive with mechanical failure for us. They recovered the majority of the data within the estimated time frame and Scott McMacken was very responsive and clear in his communications with us. Scott made sure we were kept up to date every step of the way. I look forward to using Secure Data in the future.

  I had a really great experience with Secure Data Recovery. I had been holding on to a corrupt thumb drive with more than 10 years' worth of photos on it. Most of those photos were not saved anywhere else and were not printed. Eric with Secure Data quickly reached out after receiving and evaluating the corrupt thumb drive. He explained the process and my options thoroughly. They delivered the recovered data when expected. Being able to see those memories of my kids again has been an amazing gift.

  My external work hard drive suddenly stopped working and I was desperate to recover years worth of projects from it.   I couldn’t be more over the moon happy with how things turned out. I found Secure Data to be very kind and gracious, to get everything back and they even charged me WAY less than I was estimated by Micro One and Best Buy like 75% less, On top of that they were very communicative and when I had issues transferring the data to my other external hard drive they patiently troubleshot the problem over the phone. The issue was ALL on my end and they helped me fix it instantly. I have a “too good to be true” feeling about them after the work was done. BIut it is true.
