  I do not have enough information yet to determine if it actually lowers blood pressure but the machine works decently. The one negative thing is the belt is not that good quality. It has not been easily measuring my breathing. It is very flimsy for a $400 item. The adjust strap is lousy and the machine asks me to tighten then loosen.

  I've used Resperate almost every day for 7 weeks at this point. I do see a reduction in my number of breaths per minute while using the system. But, I have no idea if during my normal day that holds true. My personal opinion is that your body tends to return to what is normal, or almost normal, for you. I've thought about returning the Resperate but keep trying to give it another chance. At this point, I consider it $350 lost.

  I ordered this devise to help reduce my blood pressure, But I have to use CPAP, & that means there's too much wires, tubes & tangling. Although I'm sure plenty folks get benefits, I can't remain calm with all the connections

  Though I haven’t reached three weeks of using this, it is wonderful guided breathing exercises, that do help me breathe more calmly and slower, helping to relax me and reduce BP. As I said, haven’t been using it long enough to see BP lowered all day, but I do believe it will happen as I get in the habit of correct and healthy breathing.

  I'm sure the company is fine, but the product did absolutely nothing for me. I used it 26 out of 28 days and my BP was not lower. If anything, it might have been slightly higher. For me, this was a complete waste of time. The one good thing is that the company did not ask any questions when I called to return the product. They quickly sent a return slip and done.

  It can be frustrating getting started. The guy keeps telling me to try to breathe regularly... which raises my BP LOL. But once I get into it, it is relaxing. Just a week and half into it - so it'll take awhile to see a long term change.

  The idea makes sense, the machine is easy to us, and seems well made. I, however, have made no change is blood pressure. My resting heart rate is lower after using the machine - a positive but I had hoped for some reduction in BP.

  I have only been using the Resperate a short time. The biggest problem I am having is with the ear plugs. They keep falling out of my ears. It is frustrating. Also the directions are not as clear as I would like.

  My husband and i are using the resperate daily now for a week. We both realize that this journey to better blood pressure readings will take time .   Though I did return the product the 2/5 rating has less to do with the product and more to do with return/refund process. The product didn't work out for me but clearly a lot of people are happy with it. In my case, I had to contact customer service 2 or 3 times to initiate the return. When I was told I'd need to go to either USPS, UPS or FedEx to create a label and ship the product back to them, i asked if I would be refunded the return shipping. They never replied. I didn't get a refund for the return shipping.

  Took some time to adjust. I'm not the kind of person who likes to "sit" and relax! But once I got the hang of it, I started to see the benefits. It does help me pay attention to my breathing and help me relax. It's been about "3" weeks and I am seeing and feeling a difference.

  Resperate works. One only has to read the book and watch videos on YouTube then do it and practice. Practice doing it correctly every time. It has lowered my blood pressure.

  I would give it a five, but after a week, my blood pressure is still elevated. This is just a factor of letting the peaceful breathing rhythms have a cumulative effect. I can feel the peaceful environment the RESPeRATE fosters so I’m confident the blood pressure will decrease in the near future.

  I have been using almost daily for a few weeks. I have not checked my blood pressure yet. My pressure is normal but flies up during stressful times. Something I can say already is that my resperation has already slowed down. I noticed that while on the treadmill, my heart rate does not go nearly as high and it recovers quicker. I feel like this may be the single best thing I have done for myself.

  Site was easy to navigate, so 4 stars for that. Premise is effective, more of a meditative tool. Tones directing breathing are harsh and distracting however, not as pleasant to use as I thought it would be. The unit is also not powerful enough to adequately support the external speakers purchased at the same time.

  It is really relaxing and I am usually so relaxed that I nod off to sleep before it turns off. I am in the first few weeks of use, so I haven't noticed a significant reduction in my BP readings yet. I will keep at it because the relaxation benefits are amazing!

  So far, I'm loving Resperate. My initial breaths per minute was 10 and after using only 4 times, I start out with 7.8. My blood pressure is definitely lower. It's very relaxing and easy to use.

  I found the instructions a little lacking in the following area. Placement of the breathing sensor controls all of the responses. More care in finding the correct location on the chest. Everyone is different. RESULTS are GREAT. Lowered my BP 15-18 points. Thank you RESPERATE.

  While we have only been using Resperate for 3 weeks. We have not yet noticed a real change in our BP. The machine does work very well and it is very relaxing when using it.   Resperate accomplishes the same basic goals as meditation and/or relaxation therapy which do not need the distractions that Resperate uses to help achieve a relaxed state and lower blood pressure. From that perspective it is not worth the money. However, for people who need some form of coaching to get into a relaxed state it has value in that it does guide and help the patient maintain the necessary discipline. I found the earbuds distracting and the music and voice overs very distracting, both of which broke my focus on emptying my mind and relaxing.

  The earphones sometimes work sometimes cut out - don’t fit Jack properly. I use an old set of iPhone earphones instead - the breathing sensor sometimes gets lost a bit which is mildly frustrating but it seems to be good for my blood pressure reduction

  I have used it for about 2 weeks. I check my BP before & after and with 1 exception, I have seen a reduction in BP and usually an improvement in my pulse rate, (lower & regular). I have AFIB and 6 out of 10 times, my heart rate is regular according to my BP cuff.
