  At first prestashop seems great because it’s “free” but the minute you want to add what should be a standard feature the add on is ridiculously expensive. It’s worth paying the 30 bucks a month for something like Shopify.

  It is so disappoiting that not the easiest requirements are fulfilled. I have bought a module in order to make variants of an article. "Please manage your virtual products from the Virtual Product with Combinations Module Configuration Page." does not work e.g. for downloadfiles. But even if i use the area "files" where i can upload files it does not work reliable. If i change the file then the buyer gets the old file. I did not consider that prestashop is so buggy, it is incredable :-(

  Il marketplace negli anni è cambiato molto, ora praticamente con questa nuova politica interna si acquistano i moduli nella versione attuale, nel tempo si riacquistano e si riacquistano... si pagano per poi ripagarli ad ogni aggiornamento....e la cosa interessante è che si aggiorna prestashop per "bug" e sicurezza informatica...spesso si è costretti a non aggiornare perchè non si hanno i moduli "pronti", ogni aggiornamento potenzialmente ha un costo in base a quanti moduli custom si hanno...e molto spesso i moduli acquistati non funzionano a dovere, si deve ricorrere allo sviluppatore, pertanto ad ogni aggiornamento c'è un costo...costiglierei prestastop addons NI...

  Hello. My current version is 1.6.1.24. I installed a VM with AlmaLinux on Azure and configured Prestashop version 1.7.8.6. I configured the source server and the target as per instructions in the documentation provided by the developer. I started the migration and nothing happened. Continued with version 1.6.1.24. I started the migration again and the same thing continued. Did not change the version. The module deconfigured my main page, deleting products and theme components. I was unhappy with the product.

  One can never be sure if the purchased module is working and if it won't cause any problems with the website. There is no guarantee module will work as described. Module developers often ask to log in to your BO to fix the problem- thus causing the issues with other modules. Needless to say that allowing unknown developers to log into the BO is unsafe, especially when it is a live website. Most of the modules slow down websites enormously and thus are impossible to use. Some module do not work for smaller countries. Money back guarantee is useless as it is impossible to prove that module is faulty if you won't let them log in to your BO. Marketplace logs out of the system too often. In general, Prestashop s a very laggy system. Be ready to pay thousands of Eur in order for your website to run. Fixing Prestashop bugs will be your weekly (if not daily) errands. Better spend that money on Magento or a more modern system.
