  This was my first time visiting Park Ave Video store front, but I have bought from them at the various RED Cinema workshops before. They typically have cool, old surplus camcorders and PTZ- even some very hard to find anamorphic cinematography items. Everybody working at the shop is super friendly, and very knowledgeable about video equipment. Ryan, the owner, went out of his way to educate me about a cool RED Weapon 8K and new HELIUM 8K S35 Sensor developments.

  Sony FE 16-35mm F/2.8, sharp and rich contrast lens but it's poor weather sealing is what broke the camel's back. It's loose when attached to the camera body. Foreign elements such as dust can penetrate the camera. It's optically reliable but poorly sealed.

  I’ve done business with these folks a couple of times over the last few years, and I have to say, I’ve always had a great experience with them. Their inventory is spot-on, pricing is more than honest, and attitudes are friendly.   Absolutely love this shop the customer service is excellent, they are always going out of their own way to get you what you want or need any advice on anything they will help. I shop here every fortnight sometimes to buy some gear I need but other times just to look around and see what other cool cameras they bring in and to annoy Apple 😂. The prices are big-chains' competitive and they throw in some good deals. They won't sell you something if they know you don't need it and they always try to look after you the best they can if they don't have something I needed in stock they would happily get it. Thanks guys for your great work can't wait to go back there again 😁⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  I was looking to buy a set of binoculars for bird watching and a friend suggested i try a Park Ave Video store. I went in to the store not knowing what to expect and a specific model. However when i got there i was greeted by a young man who was very polite and eager to help he even let me take some outside to have a look into the trees to make up my mind.   The staff are always extremely polite and willing to spend plenty of time answering any questions thrown their way. I've been fairly dissatisfied with other photography stores around Manhattan, the team here always make you feel welcome, whether you're chasing a $50 filter or a brand new camcorder. Always a great experience.

  I've had my Ricoh THETA SC2 for around 4 months and I absolutely love it. Not only is the quality of the camera amazing but it is also one of the easy-to-use enthusiast 4K 360 camera i've owned. I've been so impressed that i've recently also purchased a Ricoh TW-1 underwater housing, which is a great cover. Be it for virtual tours for real estate or fun it's a perfect piece of technology to carry the essentials. I'm certainly a big fan of the 360 cameras, Park Ave Video are keeping them relevant.

  Extremely high quality bags. I use mine to carry Leica TL2, Sigma 56mm f/1.4, and small tools. The look is a unique steeped in retro, outdoorsy, and professional. People constantly ask me where I got my bag. I had an issue with the first bag I received, and PAV customer support was exceptional. They responded to my email within a day, set up an easy way for me to ship my bag back to them, and sent a replacement promptly. I was impressed by how timely and friendly the team was. Huge fan of PAV. Thanks for being such a great company!

  I'm an amateur astrophotographer. Nice store with helpful staff who helped me buy a T-Ring adapter to pair my Meade LX90-ACF 8 and a Canon camera. Ryan used 1 1/4 ' diameter accessory with T ring threads showing me how to screw into the adapter. The 1 1/4 tube is then sandwiched in where the telescope eyepiece would go. It's going to give me a glimpse of deep space astrophotography.

  I was recently recommended an Anafi portable drone by Thomas following months of research. But this drone is a big let-down for photography and cinema. I spotted the orange burred on all videos. If you're embracing Parrot as a DJI alternative, I can say from experience that DJI's products are much better made, have better range, and the image quality is excellent.

  Very solid camera for the budget. Did my first project after using Sony All-in-One PXW-Z280 for 2 years. I am still looking forward to get a Magnus VT-4000 Tripod unit for this camera, Hopefully it would soon be available on PAV so that i could do more reviews.

  Great service yesterday in the Park Ave Video (Manhattan) by Rayn W. In dealing with a complete novice, Ryan took the time to talk me through the various cine cameras options, including suggesting a camera to suit my needs/experience level, whilst also recommending current camera/lens packages and cash back opportunities.   The best electronics store and drones/video supplies in Manhattan. They have almost anything you need for your cinematographic production rig. But for non essential accessories like rigs, batteries and camcorder gimbals, they seem to be promoting the Manfrotto brand, 'cause that's the brand that I got for my 3-Axis handheld gimbal 460, dollies & spreaders, tripod head and Manfrotto Gimbal 460. It's okay for me, but can be quite limiting for some who like to go with their preference choice of brands.

  Have used this JVC HZ-CA13U adapter with my cine lenses snugly and it's an on-the-go. It does not distort the pool of light with ND filters. I've captured stunning wide shots with my JVC camcorder. I highly recommend this video store for adapters if you have prime lenses. It made me fall in love all over again with my JVC ProHD camcorder. Thanks Ryan and crew!

  I normally always buy used gear, but when I saw the great price for a new Voigtlander M39 lens at Park Ave Video it was a no brainer. I got a brand new Voigtlander 50mm f/ 1.5 Nokton Aspherical for what other shops are asking for used gear. The bundled memory card, lens hood and lens bag made it even sweeter!

  I made a purchase of a Sony α7 II full-frame camera, Sony FE 50mm f/1.8 lens, Godox TT350S Mini Thinklite TTL Flash and Hoya 55mm alpha MC UV Filter. As it was an upgrade from my entry level D7500 it was an easy purchasing experience as i was guided at all stages of ascertaining the right camera body for my needs. The staff member was knowledgeable , friendly and answered all my question that gave me the confidence to part with some substantial cash. The store is well staffed and seems to have an expansive range for all your camera needs . Highly recommend to those who would like to update their equipment and be guided as to what you need for your current level of astrophotography.

  I came into Park Ave Videos with absolutely zero knowledge towards anything. I’m a beginner within the Run-and-gun cinematography so I came in truly seeking help to master as much as I could and therefore steward me into the right direction towards the products that suited me. A worker named Thomas done exactly that and a lot more. Within the condensed discussion we had, he taught me so many things and truly put all his attention and skills into helping me. Not once at all did he try to make a sale like many big tech chain stores try to do, he was all about investing into my needs and helping me out. Can’t express how great he was as a worker, truly amazing at his trade. I never really write reviews, but I couldn’t let something like this go unnoticed.

  I frequent PAV from time to time when I need to get some extra accessories for my Fujifilm- service is amazing. Ryan is very knowledgeable and has helped me in purchasing my extra wildlife photography gear going back and forth going above and beyond when I needed assistance with some other items - extremely helpful and really took the time to really sort out many of the issues I was having with my current setup.   A giant electronics store with power cables, chargers, battery packs, conference room supplies and loads of cinema cameras. I purchased some audio gear from these guys, and they fetched their expert who knew everything I needed to know, and gave me some great advice.

  For me, Park Ave Video is the best store for everything photographic. On previous visits to Manhattan I have found their service could not be paralleled and since the pandemic when in-store shopping was not possible, their on-line service was right up to the mark, Nothing was too much trouble.   This is my go to prosumer video shop, and trust me I buy tons of cameras and lenses on quite a regular basis. The customer service is great and the prices are greater. But for today, the icing on top of the cake is,the only address for solid RED accessories, Bescor camcorder batteries and Canon cine-style lenses. I would definitely be coming back soon.

  This is one of the better cine stores in the Manhattan area. The prices are pretty competitive, not always the absolute lowest, but reasonable. The staff is courteous and tries to help you quickly without being overly intrusive if you're just exploring. They are also an Authorized RED dealer and the service center. Thomas has been very helpful navigating the somewhat complicated process of updating with the DSMC Fan 2.0 Upgrade. I have been happy with them and will continue to use them.

  This was my first time at PAV, the experience was very refreshing, relaxed, and comfortable. I first walked in and had my eyes on buying a Hasselblad H6D-400c MS and was promptly helped by Ryan. Ryan was very knowledgeable and fun to talk to, I’ve been to a lot of stores and haven’t had decent service but I was very delighted that he was so friendly as most of my experiences elsewhere were negative. This place is wide open and have a friendly customer atmosphere cracking jokes with you and even though I got out of school they still managed to work out some discounts for me to help me out. All in all, I was very happy with the friendly and knowledgeable service and will be going to this store for all my future Hasselblad purchases.

  I picked up a Ricoh THETA V 360 4K from them, along with a TA-1 3D Microphone, cleaning kit, and some accessories supplies. I was helped by a young gent who I believe is in the photo industry, and who seemed knowledgeable. I did my research before going in, but I still asked him quite a few questions. He gave me some advice about various things. They are also listed on the Ricoh Pentax website as a "Ricoh Pentax Dealer". I have no idea what that means, but I was able to find the 360 degrees model I was looking for there, and it was in stock. Overall I'm happy with my experience there, and will keep them in mind for future purchases.

  Bought my first SmallRig Hot Shoe Mount via Park Ave Video but it feels very cheaply made. Even the binder on the rubber grip substrate by the top screw doesn't adhere. These are pretty great mounts, but not engineered for heavier lights. Im using top lights that makes it tremble life a leaf and the screw tightener tends to bolt off and the light tilts down. Only buy if you need a super cheap mount for something VERY cheap.

  Yesterday I was happy to see that PARK AVE VIDEO opened a store in Manhattan and today I was there because I needed new shutter release. When I was there, I thought I would try the EOS R, show me directly, because at the last visit I decided that I wanted to switch from Fujifilm to Canon. Ryan took a lot of time for me and showed me a lot. The advice was really very good! Tomorrow I will evaluate the test pictures and I am even more convinced than before that I will switch from the XT-4 to the Canon R5.   Canon XC10 is beatifully constructed equipped with a fixed lens camera with a 58mm filter diameter. It comes with Face Detection/Tracking, Push AF and Touch Focus. It does have a touch screen similar to the 70d. Amazing value for the price. Great color and resolution, many useful features, easy to navigate the various settings. This was exactly what we needed for a monster camera for live streamed performances streamed online.

  Unfortunately, the PAV staff had no idea about CINEGEARS Single Axis Wireless Express Controller, but I was lucky. Manufacturer was in the house and I got very good advice, which convinced me about the Express Controller. I was told by a PAV employee, if you order by 12/16. there is a "Holiday Discount", so I'm on the 23.12. back there, nobody knew anything about it. This is very annoying because I went to Ryan especially. Overall mediocre advice (CINEGEARS isn't always there), list prices and empty promises. You can have that anywhere. I won't buy anything more there.

  Ordered a Sirui 50mm F/1.8 Anamorphic, gives a true anamorphic feel. You will want 2x if your intention is to achieve more intense flares. But for the purpose of achieving a 2.40:1 ratio within a 16x9 frame, then the 1.33x will do just fine. I've added a polarizer to enhance the effects.

  Very good specialist shop in drones & aerial photography, if you want to get good advice about drones and quadcopters, you are in good hands there. The prices are the same as for the other dealers, but you have very good professional advice there. I think PAV is the specialty shop for photography in Manhattan.

  I ordered the Polaroid IS048 as my daughter's first camera and it's a great, well-built, waterproof, shockproof. Good image quality, she has shot dozens of pictures. She has actually tested the waterproofing by venturing under the rains and it still works fine! I gave it 4 stars not 5 because it fades batteries rapidly. The batteries have to be changed very often (almost continuously).

  Germane advice, it was mentioned several times that Canon XF405-E Camcorder (PAL) from 2020 was already a newly released camera, there were better ones. We were interested in Professional Video Tripod Systems, we wanted to buy it, but we would be better advised elsewhere. And who thinks we would buy cheap online now ... wrong! We were there again today. This time the very nice and good advice was given by Mr. Ryan, the tripod was then bought.   Google Nest S3003LWES. The Google Nest smoke detectors are done of the best in the house. They inform you on each room and how it is doing with smoke. These were easy to set up and link to my phone. They look really sharp and are super loud for alerts.

  I'm a real estate and architecture photographer. I bought a DJI Phantom 4, I connect to my phone so I can update the background maps. Although you are supposed to be able to preload them, I like the autonomy to hover around and pick random spots . But I need the latest Phantom 4 firmware version is updated to v1.1.301, the DJI GO app Android is updated to v2.7.2 and iOS is updated to 2.8.1 for Precision Geofencing. Thanks PAV!!!

  Got my Panasonic AG-UX90 at Park Ave Video for a church in Manhattan. Standard stage lighting / low light in the audience. I took a few shots at church last night and it performed very well. The widest your aperture can open is f4.5. It has a low depth of field but it is not like a DSLR using a 100mm lens at 2.8 or wider. I have no problem with the 15X lens especially when using iZOOM, but like another user suggested, you my just want to go out and rent not to be sure.

  Bought Ricoh THETA Z1 360 as a professional real estate photographer, Ryan could bet his house it's still the leading in the market with a powerful sensor. Bought it for doing Matterport scans and offering 360 for virtual tour platform. This is exactly what I wanted in a spare 360 camera, especially the JPEG+DNG output and the ability to install plugin apps on the camera. I've purchased high-end Matterport cameras at Park Ave Video, the service just gets better!!!

  I bought the XC15 to utilize as a run and gun in my YouTube channel for cooking tutorials. Super staff with an outstanding level of field experience and knowledge.   Have been shooting & video with this Canon 5DMIV. Thanks Park Ave Video. This camera is great for video. Had to relearn where controls features are, but not an issue. Love it paired with the Sigma 18-35 lens in low light! There are tons of YouTube videos to help you in the technical aspects of the setting up your camera! Good luck!
