  Photography is my passion and brings home the bacon. I study photography and its history. I'm a chronicler of the evolution of photography. I'd recommend this store to a high-level enthusiast/semi-pro shooter, I got a Nikon Z7 and the images it produces are superb even with the first set of S lenses. Ergonomics, menus, and features are all intuitive and work well. Works well in low light & really shines on portrait photography. Nice addition to my D850 as a smaller and lighter alternative. Very impressed with sharpness, features and operation of Z7. Exceeded my expectations.

  We got TV for Christmas as our gift to each other. Set up was pretty easy. It has a nice picture. I rated it 3 stars because at least once a week we have to unplug the tv from the wall, leave it unplugged for a time and then plug it back in. There are various apps that have no sound or do not work properly if you do not do this.

  Bought an Arca-Swiss 6x9cm F-Line in the store after passively browsing online for a while, Christopher was a great help in steering me in the right direction and put me on a monorail camera that just felt right as soon as I picked it up. The pricing was better than the anything I could find on the internet. Highly recommend, great customer experience!

  I've had this Sony A7 III for a few months now and love it. This camera is a Swiss Army Knife. Coming from a Rebel 7, the weight and ease of use is great. Great lens third party compatibility from Sony. Like that Park Ave Cameras gives you a great kit that is high quality as well.

  A New York institution. Rented my first Nikon F4S 35mm SLR from Park Ave Cameras in the 1980s; recently picked up Canon 5DS R with my daughter. The center feels good every time I walk in, with amateur and professional photographers of all kinds exploring the store. The camera folks have helped me + my son & daughter find exactly what I wanted. Amazingly the prices are competitive or better than Amazon for all instruments and accessories I've purchased! Worth browsing and trying things out anytime you want photo gear pick me up.

  This is my favorite photography store in NY. A great selection of high end gear and excellent service. Salespeople are career photographers, knowledgeable about the gear they sell, and direct you to what you need (as opposed to upselling to what they think you can afford). There are a lot of options in the area, but this is by far my go-to.

  I needed to sell some Used Macro & Close Up for Medium Format I was no longer using, but I had no idea how to price them. A repairman in Manhattan suggested I contact Alex Kaufman. I took my equipment in to Park Ave Cameras, the manager of the used photography department. After checking them out, he offered to buy them on the spot, an offer I gladly accepted. I was delighted with the service and treatment I received from everyone at PAC.

  My DZOFilm DZO 10-24mm parfocal cine is built like a tank! It is heavy in hand, and made soundly. Its my first full on cinema lens, this is great. Has a long focus throw and breathing is minimal which was much more appreciated. Also loved the fact that it was parfocal, got some interesting shots already which is fantastic. Helpful staff that never pressures you to buy something, good prices, a huge selection of lenses, and a bunch of Pro Camcorder lenses & accessories. Definitely my go-to place for equipment.

  Prices are unbeatable and personnel are friendly and helpful. Never had to make a return or follow up on an issue, hopefully that wouldn't be a problem either. It covers two buildings with a dedicated service shop. All are old and seems to be managed like a compact mom and pop shop. At first it felt scary to enter the building to see what sort of photo gear they carry and recommend, but they quote a price I can't find anywhere else!

  Purchased a Canon BG-R10 battery grip for my R6. However, they ommitted extra batteries and up to date they're yet to arrive. While I expect this to be of the same value, functionalities, and sturdiness as my BG-E20 Grip; since there is no camera to actually use it on. It's making a lovely office decorator. 2 out of 5 stars for missing items. May update this review later once the actual camera and batteries arrive.

  I ordered the SVM-X to capture the ambient sound at a sporting event where I was shooting video last week I mounted it on my Canon XF400 camcorder and shot footage from several yards away from the stage. The audio was exactly what I heard at the scene. I've been in the pro video industry for 10+ years and I've never had a mic give me such clear, transparent audio.

  After chasing the SONY Z-1 in retail stores with no luck, contacted Park Ave Cameras and to find they had stock. Placed order via the website, verified credit card over the phone, and the camera was immediately dispatched and delivered overnight with FEDEx. It was cheaper than the out of stock stores, with no time lost. Couldn't ask for more.

  Bought the Sony a6100. This is a great starter camera, and the quality is quite comparable to the a6400! Love the tripod that PAC sent me, I use it for almost all my videos and use it like a selfie stick to take selfies.

  Amazing place to chill and opportunity to feel some newly-released cameras, the selection and quality of products is great and the staff are very attentive. The used cameras are reasonably priced and financing schemes are available. The DSLRs are in a similar vein, good selection and the staff know their stuff. Great place for a photo/video lover.

  I bought a Canon XF705 to shoot at a corporate event. The camera is pretty user friendly. The footage looks great. The focus tracking is excellent. This is a perfect live event or run and gun camera. Footage has a good look and even some DOF for a small sensor. I personally felt that the service went above and beyond to ensure I would have a camcorder for my trip, of which I truly appreciate. All this made for a really impressive experience and I would search on Park Ave Cameras website the next time I'm looking for Por Video gear. Well worth the money!

  I wanted to thank Alex Kaufman for the excellent service I received whilst shopping for a new Swirl Bokeh. Your wonderful customer care resulted in me purchasing a Lensbaby Twist 60mm f/2.5 Optic recently. I appreciated the time I was allowed to compare this superb lens with others in a similar price range and I am absolutely delighted with my choice. The tone and overall quality of this lens is truly remarkable – I honestly think it is equivalent to swirl bokeh at twice the price.

  Just bought a Leica S3, my father bought his Leica II Model D here over 15 years ago and I just had to go back. Yes the décor is a bit dated but the service was excellent, no pushy sales just great service. The S3 arrived the next week at a time agreed. I can not say enough about the service, for someone who is not an expert they did not judge just made me feel relaxed.

  Wow! My first visit I was like a kid in a sweet shop! They have everything, it's the biggest selection of Leica SL, CL/TL & Q lineup cameras I've ever seen in any local camera shop and wish I'd come across this place years ago! Also a huge range of used cameras upstairs. It just goes on....

  PAC is a wonderland for multi-channels sound speakers such as Bose. I have used the Sonos ARC with a TV Samsung LED. I was shocked at the improvement in audio quality and am currently unsure whether I need to purchase the sub. Using Bluesound has been great and the integration with my other audio peripherals was seamless. I will be 100% adding to my setup in the future.

  Purchased a Manfrotto Street Backpack. It is not Manfrotto quality bag. Zippers are very fragile and the textile looks really cheap! Design is ok, spacious places for DSLR and gear. nice pocket for laptop and its charger. 3 stars because Manfrotto should be deluxe quality

  Staff were very helpful and offered very prompt service. I didn't had to wait long for my new iOptron Urban 150 150mm f/12 to be delivered and was very happy with the service that I have received at Park Ave Cameras. Additionally, the staff are very knowledgeable and are willing to spend time with you giving honest advice. When buying telescopes or astronomy filters, I really wouldn't need to look elsewhere.

  You'll want to take advantage of this deal, as you will save a few hundred dollars on a novel-YI Technology HALO! I use the camera for my architectural and real estate immersive 8K 360° is absolutely amazing for both real estate tours and videography and the LCD touchscreen is best in its class, as are the colors. PAC packages well and ships FAST!

  I bought Leica Ever-Ready Stay-On expecting to tap into its lens protection i could quickly place over the lenses and would not lose, neither of which this cover does. The case is compressed and it's laborious to sprawl out the lens guards to place them snugly to carry scope over shoulder through brush or to keep lenses clean and the snap that joins the covers when using scope is not reliable and covers can fall off while using and be lost.

  I bought the Canon 1D X Mark III with CFexpress Card and Reader Bundle. Its amazing. Im a sports and wildlife photographer and bought this camera for the auto focus and shutter speed it provides. It is hands down the best camera I've ever used. PAC are the best for customer service and sales. I highly recommend them. Their pricing was the best for this camera. My brother bought his camera from Park Ave Cameras in New York and recommended them to me.

  A great place for any and all photography lovers. Bought my first mirrorless camera from there and received world class service - my second one will likely be from there too. Top knowledge and top passion on the floor, if you transit or upgrade to mirrorless but all are welcome and you likely won't leave without buying something, even if it's a $14,000+ Hasselblad.

  I've bought two televid scopes from Park Ave Cameras over the years. I can't think of anywhere else in New York (B&H Photo and Video being the exception) that stocks high end Leica scopes. Importantly, you can sit in a quiet room and try them out. The staff are informed and helpful but they leave you to it and don't fuss over you. Park Ave Cameras also offer a free set up within the first 12 months after purchase. I heartily recommend them.

  Bought Luminesque UVS 58mm c.polarizer and UV filter kit for my new Nikkor Z 24-70mm lens. It is a bit hard to turn the circular polarizer. Almost like it is sticking. But, it does shoot great pictures.

  I took my son here to buy his first proper camera- a friendly young man called Christopher helped us and was very knowledgeable and kind (I’ve found some photography shop staff can be a bit patronizing) he was just as informed about the lenses as the cameras and gave us some very useful info on a superzoom/bridge we’re saving up for. Such good service that’s why it’s been there for donkeys years.

  The team's technical knowledge can't be beaten and the selection of camcorders is brilliant (especially for Canon).   The packaging was secure and it arrived early! I was so excited! As far as quality, I am a newbie and have much to learn.   I bought a Panasonic AG-CX350. Unfortunately are not truly parfocal. They work with a hybrid lens and auto focus system. I can live stream to Facebook directly to URL. The camera has recording bitrates that record onto a memory card. Decent upgrade to my older Panasonic AG-UX180 4K. AG-CX350 has a better sensor resolution of 15 MP, better shutter speed. The camcorder can also record HD in MOV, as well as HD/SD in AVCHD format for legal proceedings. You can choose from eight different gamma settings including HLG, which provides an HDR output in the camera. Great Store. 100% American. Keep up the good work. Awesome customer service. Peace ☮️.

  Purchased Magnus VT-4000 Tripod System with Fluid Head at a great price. My salesman Luke was very helpful. He and another co-worker(sorry forgot his name) stayed a little after hours to make sure my tripod was good and helped me put it in my truck. I will be back to do more business at this location.

  I'm very happy with the service and the staff here. I've been in earlier in the week to get a pair of binoculars for my father for his offshore fishing activities. Luke is polite on the phone and just about as helpful and knowledgeable as he can possibly be. He doesn't hesitate to check inventory, assuring me he can have what I want shipped in all while using a kind and pleasant attitude. I recommend this place for binoculars of any type such as marine.

  I am so blown away with Park Ave Cameras. The pinnacle of electronics retail industry! I went in to purchase / look at T.V’s and a gentleman named Luke was very enthusiastic. I told him what I wanted in a TV and my budget and he was able to show me options. He was so helpful. Unfortunately we had issues with the transaction and I came the next day to make the purchase. He gave me a further discount for the trouble I had the previous day and even helped me put the TV into my car. Will definitely do business again with PAC and Luke again.

  Bought a Canon EOS Rebel T7 here. I spent the weekend shooting and, I started having major focusing problems. Very random success using two different lenses. I'm contacting Canon USA soon but I too am afraid that a brand new camera for which I waited two months is going to have to be shipped back for servicing. Not satisfactory Canon.

  I had most amazing experience buying camera from here. Until now I have been getting them from online stores.   I had the luck to be among the owners of the first Canon R6 released in limited quantity. I would underscore the immensely advanced autofocus system over the EOS R series. This alone offsets the extra cost. Image stabilization is a lifeblood, breathing new life to old non-IS lenses. Onto ergonomics, it is so awesome. Very sleek and quiet shutter sound. I can't think of any CONs...

  The store was a great experience. There were real experienced photography experts with years behind the lens thus well-versed at answering questions and making solid recommendations. The selection was great as well. I was able to try a few lenses out in the store on the camera I was planning to buy which helped in making my lens choices. I have the battery grip and it makes shooting all day long possible without having to worry about the battery fading on you! Love it!   I made an online purchase from PAC. I delayed testing the monocular for a while. When I finally got around to it, I discovered that it was defective. I expected I'd have trouble getting Park Ave Cameras to do anything about it. They completely surprised me by cheerfully and quickly issuing me a refund. This is how to run a business.   I bought a FREEFLY Alta X Drone with Controller, FPV System & Travel Case from Park Ave Camera in New York. My sales person was Christopher. He was very helpful and efficient in helping me find the right commercial drone. He cheerfully pulled different prosumer & pro cinema quadcopters, hexacopters and octocopters for me until I found the right one that worked for me ! Christopher, was also very helpful in helping me find the commercial drones. These people know their stuff and the drone store personnel are extraordinary ! I'm a pretty picky buyer, and this staff was VERY patient with my questions and concerns and made everything the perfect experience. I highly recommend Park Ave Camera store for your photography needs. I live almost 30 miles away and it was well worth the travel time to get personal attention to my photography concerns.
