Verified reviewBalls were supposed to be Mint condition. Out of the 72+ balls, only 20-25 were mint. Some had white spots, black marks, cart path scrapes, and most were frayed on 75% or more of the balls. I contacted customer service and was asked to send pictures showing examples of damages. I sent 9 pictures of 9 different balls. I was told by CS that the black marks looked like pen markings from previous users. One ball did have 2 dots that were pen(Sharpie) marks, but it still had a very large, non-pen marking and had the fraying at the top of the ball. After a terse response from myself, CS apologized and asked me to estimate how many balls were not mint so I could ship them back for inspection and possible replacement. I had already told them the estimate. Writing emails, taking pictures, and then having to take them for return shipping was just too much work for me to justify the possible resolution Therefore, I declined that option and told them I would keep the balls, but never purchase from them again. In the past 2.5 years, I have purchased close to 250 to 300 golf balls from this company. Titleist VG3, Callaway, and Taylormade. As a good, established customer, I feel like they should have taken the pictures as evidence that I was on the level and made it right without inconveniencing me more. The way this issue was handled shows just how much expense LGB will go to save themselves money. However, saving $50 and losing out hundreds of $s as Iand my 14 year old son will never order from here again. I also have and will continue to tell others to stay away.
