  I’ve been eating a half a piece at a time. It’s pretty good dark chocolate. I became somewhat confident I knew what I would get, because they don’t really taste all that different from one piece to the next. I decided to pop a whole one in my mouth that looked interesting. It had a yellow speck on top. I have no idea what it was, because I can’t find it in the book. I will say that that is the first time in my life I had to wash down chocolate because it was going to make me gag. I wish I knew what it was. Otherwise, it’s decent. I’m not sure if I’d order again or not. Maybe truffles or a milk/dark chocolate mix. Shipping was fast!

  I have been ordering from La Maison du Chocolat for years and with the price increase for my favorite truffles had to decide whether I needed to order them again.   La Maison Du Chocolat was purchased as a comparison to Neuhaus. Nothing about La Maison was superior. The chocolate quality, the finish of the individual pieces and the overall presentation lacked in every way to Neuhaus. It was worth a try, but Neuhaus remains the best.

  This was fine. For the price and the "luxury" rating of la maison, I would expect a bit more both in quality and variety offered. But it is a nice box and the chocolates are fine. I would not buy this again but I would maybe try other products they have.

  i usually order directly from the Madison Ave retail store because online sales are shipped within 1 week and my Christmas and Easter Items are that I select are sold out. This was a suggestion from your office in Queens several years ago. My recipient in Conn had an online greeting related to Easter that I deleted and replaced with a new message explaining I was sending the gift early due to their upcoming trip overseas.HOWEVER THE EASTER MESSAGE WAS SENT WHICH REALLY UPSET ME.

  I ordered Chocolates which were supposed to be Fedexed to my house for a birthday gift as well as Thanksgiving holiday candy. I received a note saying that Fedex could not deliver on Saturday which was fine because the could send Monday and the package would arrive Wednesday which is when I would need them. On Wednesday I received a Note that the package was delivered. When I inquired I was told oh we never shipped it. The response and subsequent action were inappropriate, Perhaps you should have sent the package late but you elected not to send it at all.

  The chocolate we tried in-store in NYC was amazing. We walked a block away and turned around and went back for more. I got home to Atlanta and decided we must have the Advent calendar. Huge disappointment - it looked and moreover tasted old.

  La maison du chocolat is just the best chocolate you can have! I have been ordering their advent calendar for years and their milk chocolate mendiants is the best. If you live chocolate, you must try them!

  The chocolate covered orange peel is absolute perfection. I bought a box in Paris and we immediately ordered more when we returned home. It's that good. We got free, lightening fast shipping from La Maison Du Chocolat.

  The macarons arrived all broken into pieces. I had hoped to have given the small boxes of macarons as gifts…..but since they weren’t presentable my husband and I ate them. The taste was very good but they looked terrible.

  From Customer Service to packing and delivery, everything was top notch. I much appreciate the attention to detail and pleasantness of staff. When I called to place a custom order, it was before the store opened, but I was told to expect a call back at when the store opened at 11 and I'd be connected to someone to fill the order. A call came at exactly 11, and the rest was magical. Congenial, on task, discussed product with me as I am not in NYC,and online only. Best Experience in recent history!!

  I've been waiting for the weather to cool here so I could order some treats. Then when I saw the marrons glace were available I knew it was time. I placed my order with express shipping so they would arrive on a Saturday when I could be home to receive them. All went exactly according to time. Service was great and the treats were exceptional.
