  Very pleased with the quick turnaround for the ISBN number-sequence. I did have to email back, asking for the barcode/image, though. Not sure why that didn't go out with the initial order. The turnaround on the image was slower than for the numerical sequence. However, both did arrive safely.

  Recently our community published a book depicting local pictures and stories of the Colorado Flood of 2013.   I couldn't believe how easy it was to obtain the ISBN numbers. I didn't know if the ISBN code for E-books was different from the book ISBN. I sent an e-mail to ISBN Services to ask this question.   About a year now I have used the service and am very pleased. Best thing is the personal, live person replies you get about your inquiries. Not to mention the speed of those replies. Cost is very reasonable and below any quotes I've seen elsewhere thusfar.

  I had a terrible experience. I did not receive anything after my purchase. I called repeatedly and left messages. Also sent email to support with no response. I called by credit card vendor for the number, but only reached PayPal with no live response. Finally I reached someone at ISBN on the phone 6 days after my purchase and they said they would email again, but nothing. At least I had that person stay on the line until I could open the website and find my ISBNs.

  It was easy to order, super easy to use, AND free barcodes come with your ISBNs. I counted up the number of ISBNs I'd need (EPUB, paperback and hardcover editions, so 3 for each book) and ended up buying a stack of them, which gets the price per ISBN down to reasonable pretty quickly. Highly recommended.

  The ISBN Services website is not very compatible with my Internet Explorer 9.0 browswer (go figure). When I was unable to download the ISBN barcode, I sent 2 emails for help. Eventually I received one email with the barcode (good) and one email telling me to go back to the website (lazy). Perhaps I expect too much for $19.
