  As far as ISBN services go, I'm very happy with ISBNservices. It's not just fast but I got rather personal service in terms of being able to communicate with a living, breathing human being. Too often these days companies make it difficult to communicate with them. Not ISBNservices which is great. I have this attitude that if you're making it difficult for customers to contact you, especially after a sale, you don't want our business as repeat customers-bye. So it's refreshing to experience a service like ISBNservices.

  After publishing two books with regular publishing houses, my co-author and I decided to do the third on our own. But we needed an ISBN number. We decided to go with ISBN Services.   I can't really compare this site with others as I've not had the range of experience... However, this site has proved to be fast and inexpensive, plus you can buy a single ISBN number instead of multiples as with other sites.   Everything went very well with our Karate Book- Delivery was right on time. The price was better than other services however- The Extra fee for a Bar Code was not expected but still less than any other we could find.   This place is great!!!! Let me give you the details of exactly what I experienced. I have purchased a 13 digit ISBN to use with my digital publication for the ibook store. A few hours after the purchase I got an email asking for my book name, publisher name, and a cover image. I returned the requested info and received a conformation email telling me the ISBN would now be registered. A day later I got another conformation email telling me it was registered. Very Professional all the way. I almost bought an ISBN for $125 and then one for $50 so for 9.99 I was thinking it was a scam. So I tried it. My book is in the ibook store with the ISBN I got here. Also i heard that my ISBN would be linked to the publisher's name from whom I purchased it. In this case 'ISBNServices.com' However it is not. When you submit your book for distribution, in my case to apple ibooks, you make up what ever publisher name you want. And yes it appears in iTunes. Not who you buy it from. So I hope this helped. If you want your publisher to be 'Bobby's Pancake Publishing' it can be. Whatever you write. So Anyone who thinks this is a scam or is cautious just you are wrong. I almost bought one at Bowker. That is a ridiculous rip off. Plus, this place writes you back. It is a great site. And i bought a 2nd ISBN 2 days ago.
