  Purchased Sea Hawk Aluma Hawk for our 14' Aluminum jonboat. We live on a tidal river that connects with Mobile Bay. Brackish water but supports barnacle growth on the hull. These crazy little critters are near impossible to remove but we got it done. Hoping this paint product will help protect the hull or at least make it easier to remove the barnacles. The Bottom Paint Store delivered the product as promised. We selected the color blue and it looks fantastic.

  Bottom paint store has always been my go to, Kristen is tremendous. SeaHawk is another story, when the local rep tells you everything posted on prep is wrong, i t made me return all of it (After 5 years of using Seahawk). The Seahwak Cukote did extemly well, colorkote over cukote peeled and the rep was zero help.. Moved from Seahawk to Petit.

  These guys suck. I ordered the paint, but it was on back order. They did not tell me this. In fact they didn't say anything. I received half of my order and had to call and ask where the rest was. I had to wait a day for a response. Then they wanted to withhold my refund for another day. Claiming they had to check with UpS and FedEx even tho the product was on back order according to them. Some people like wasting time. Go ahead and waste your time.

Several items to mention on this. First is it is not the right color, it is Gray, not Shark White! 2nd is after mixing and stirring and shaking this can of paint it still had small chunks of copper (from what it looked like) kept mixing and trying to break this up with no luck, had to strain the paint in order to even use it. (probably 1/3 cup of chunks) 3rd is after looking over the can after I painted the boat, I see it has a Lot Date of 06/15/22 on the bottom. They sold me a can of paint that is 3 years old! I had several days of cleaning, sanding and prepping this boat to just ruin it with your bad paint!! Read that water based paint has a shelf life of one year! They admitted this paint shouldn't have been sold and they did refund my money, but still have bad paint on the boat, won't use again!!

  The paint was supposed to be delivered by UPS Friday 07/25. today is Saturday the 26th and it still has not been delivered. UPS is becoming more and more unreliable -Might you change to fed X ???

  My blue Gelcoat never set. Bottom Paint Store never responded, had to call FGCI. FGCI told me the blue has a different formula and requires at least 2% MEKP. The directions on your website and ON THE SIDE OF THE CONTAINER DO NOT SAY THIS!!! I am absolutely furious that nobody notified me about this. We are talking about hours of work, completely unnecessary work because of this and it will look horrible. I need to let people know how awful the information you provided is and the lack of support. Unacceptable. Huge mistake. Go elsewhere for your Gelcoat!!!!!!

  I ordered my bottom paint for my trawler, after talking with the customer service. They said it would ship out the next day, and that worked for me as I had a slot at the boat yard to have my boat taken out of the water. Shipping was estimated to take 4 to 5 days to my location. I had my boat put in the yard with the understanding that I have it out of there at the job completed in seven days. After three days I have not received any information regarding my shipping. I called customer service and they told me that they had not shipped the product yet. They said it might ship that day, and if I did, I would receive the product one day before I needed to have the boat out of the yard. I had to drive three hours and take two Ferrys to get my my bottom paint from the nearest suppliers. I canceled my order from The Bottom Store. It appears they had not even processed it. Disappointment.

  Bottompaints.com’s website didn’t work when I tried to purchase online. I called and ordered on the phone but the phone support person couldn’t enter my order on his computer. He called me 1/2 an hour later to confirm he was able to enter my order in his system. Shipping was fast.
