  Great company. Given the fact they had a major hurricane hit a couple days after I placed my order, I figured there would be a long delay in shipping and possibly not be able to ship. That was not the case. They shipped just a few days after the hurricane. I would recommend them to anyone that needs what they sell. Top notch customer service and great company.

  Ordered and paid for two cans of anti fouling paint. Only one can arrived. The kid at customer service was apologetic and the other can arrive four days later, long after I needed it. Next, both cans of paint were in boxes that didn't fit. There was broken styrofoam in each can. The paint seems to have been packed that way-- a big mess to take out the paint can from the box! And, both cans had big dents in them!

  This is third order I have made over 4 years. Each time it has been delivered for shipment from Tropical Marine in the same day. I rate that as excellent. Staff always very helpful sending MSDS documents immeadiately and shipment is always received in excellent condition. Cant rate biocop not yet used, but in past Sea Hawk has excellent products for Caribbean.

  It is unfortunate that I cannot post a picture of Harmony’s (41’Islander ketch) hull just after she was hauled and power washed….you would think the boat’s hull had just been painted!!! If there were 20 small barnacles on it, that would b too many… and they came off using my index finger!!! I haul her every three years and for the past 4 cycles I’ve been using Copper Cost 45… wouldn’t change it for anything!!! FBA

  I couldn’t find a lower price anywhere, not even close. Almost thought it was too good to be true! Was I wrong? Yes! The lowest price, fast, free ground shipping right to my door, carefully packaged in individual padded boxes. From Florida to Seattle inside of a week, with excellent communication on my transaction and shipment tracking. These guys are for real. Stop all that driving around chasing limited bottom paint inventory and colors for the best bottom paints in the boating industry.   Every order i receive is badly dented, i think only one leaked. The dents on gallons are 3/4”- 11/2” deepthe length or width sometimes effecting the lid. Common to have a $300.00 gallon of bottom paint and a hand ful of peanuts, well settled in the box..this is not a new problem.

  I ordered a pint of bottom paint for our new (old) sailboat, a water based ablative paint. It turned out the paint I wanted could not be sent to California in the color I wanted (black). Within a couple of hours of ordering on line, I received a call explaining the situation and another product was recommended. The person I spoke to made the change in my order, sent out a corrected invoice and I even received a $6 refund for a price difference. It was all very efficient and professional. Thank you!

  I didn’t place the order online. I called it in I believe I spoke with a man named Dustin or Duncan. I specifically said the shipping was California and billing Rhode Island. I have ordered new paint from a local competent vendor which is what I should have done from the beginning.

  The gel coats I got were great and came with the mekp and sanding aid. The shipping was across county and only took a week. Service is great and the website has nice info about how to complete your project. Keep it up guys. Only issue I had is I’m not a fan of packing peanuts, but it’s not the end of the world.

The only issues I had were when I opened the gallon containers in my shop the contents was about 3 inches from the top, sort of like I received 3/4 of a gallon in each can purchased.

  We checked with the manufacturer, they indicate they typically fill the gallons directly at or a little above the ear of the can to ensure there is room for the copper to be shaken up in the can when they go to put it on a paint shaker. If it was full to the top then you wouldn’t be able to correctly shake the contents of the can and get a cohesive paint mixture.

  Top edge of the tin was damaged, it made putting the lid back on difficult with not a good seal. The shipping packaging was excellent and not damaged so it was this way before shipping! Paint ended up blotchy blue and grey, very strange. Did not go on that easily, really had to work it with the roller.

  Easy purchase and reasonably quick shipping. The only problem was the paint (SeaHawk Tropikote) arrived very settled. This may be a common problem with this type of very high copper paint, but it took about a half hour stirring aggressively and pouring back and forth to get it mixed up. A power mixer and a larger bucket would probably have helped.
