  I wish they would have shown on their site which country they were located in. I would not have ordered had I know they were outside the USA. I figure it took twice as long to get my item, and had I had an issue with it I would not have attempted to send it back to some overseas address. I guess live and learn..

  I was overall very pleased with the shopping experience. The website was easy to navigate and all the information I needed to find and purchase the gift I was looking for was readily available. The price was very fair and 1001hobbies provided great service in terms of sending alerts on the process of filling and shipping my order, all the way through delivery to my door. The one issue that could and should be improved is packaging for shipping. The corrugated cardboard carton used was particularly light and not very stiff. One side got partly crunched durung transit. And, there wasn’t much protective wrapping inside either - just a bit of folded paper that didn’t fill the space or provide any cushion for the item. So the kit’s box itself was a little bent and creased when it arrived, from the damage to the outer carton. It really could have been better wrapped usung bubblewrap or air pillow packs, especially given how thin the outer shipping carton was.

  I'm very unhappy with the way I've been treated by 1001 Hobbies. When I was at their site I had intended to order some decals, but when I got to the point where I learned the shipping cost, I felt that it was way too much. So I didn't complete the order. I DID NOT COMPLETE THE ORDER. 1001 Hobbies were aware that I didn't complete the order because they emailed me to ask why. I told them. Then they charged me US$71. and shipped it anyway. When I complained to Pay Pal and to 1001 Hobbies, 1001 Hobbies said they'll refund my money WHEN THEY GET THE STUFF BACK. So I now have to pay to ship it back, when I didn't want it in the first place. It hasn't arrived yet, but will be mailed back as soon as it's received. will never order from them again, ever.

  My order arrived on time and was what I ordered. The one problem I see is for international shipment, the French postal tracking number isn't helpful at all. I've ordered products from China, Ukraine and South Korea, and the tracking numbers eventually give the expected delivery for the US. Mine came on time, but if it were delayed you certainly would want to know where the last entry in the system was made.

  I RECEIVED MY SECOND ORDER BUT HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY FIRST ORDER WHICH WAS MADE ON JANUARY 25. I WAS TOLD MY FIRST ORDER WAS SENT ON JANUARY 28 AND TO EXPECT DELIVERY ON FEB 10 THRU 15. THAT WAS NOT TRUE. I WAS ADVISED MY FIRST ORDER WAS SENT OUT LAST WEEK (MARCH 1) BUT I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO TRACK IT. DON'T KNOW WHAT TO BELEIVE. AT THE END OF FEBRUARY I SENT AN E-MAIL TO 1001HOBBIES REQUESTING THAT MY ORDERS WERE TO BE CANCELLED AND MY PAYMENT REFUNDED. I WAS NOTIFIED A FEW DAYS LATER THAT MY SECOND ORDER WAS SENT OUT FOR DELIVERY AND A FEW DAYS AFTER THAT WAS TOLD THAT MY FIRST ORDER WAS SENT OUT. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH ANY ON LINE HOBBY SHOP PURSHACE. I DON'T THINK I WILL BE USING OR RECOMMENDING 1001HOBBIES IN THE FUTURE.

  Excellent service! I've never ordered anything internationally before, so I was a little hesitant at first. The part arrived earlier than their estimated arrival, and was 100% correct. 1001 even reached out when there was an issue with my address, corrected the issue, and the part still arrived early.   I live in America and bought an item from 1001hobbies. I’d never heard of the site before so I was sort of apprehensive about ordering, but I bit the bullet and went ahead with my order anyway since I couldn’t find the item I was ordering anywhere else. In the end, I did end up getting my order about 2 weeks later through the economy shipping option. My item came from France, so the long shipping times are understandable, though tracking stopped updating once it left France, which would have been nice. I never received any shipping updates after that, including when my package was delivered; it just kind of showed up one day without a notification of delivery of any kind. Still, my order arrived within the specified timeframe and the undamaged. In short, if you’re a US buyer who’s unsure about whether or not to buy from 1001hobbies, I’d say go for it if you’re willing to put up with the sparse shipping updates and the 2+ week shipping times.

  I had tried to get this product for over a year from the usual sources and none of them could supply it. I found 1001hobbies on the internet and they showed stock availability so I placed an order. Imagine my surprise when it arrived from Paris! It took awhile to ship by I had already waited a year on backorder with a domestic supplier, so it was like a rush order to me!

  I placed an order on 12/5 for a Christmas gift. Having received no status updates, I called the following week and left a voice mail. Having still received no response, I emailed on 12/22 and finally heard on 12/23 that my order was awaiting delivery, but instead I was going to be reimbursed (no other option was offered). I was in fact reimbursed on 1/16, but that was obviously of no use to me in purchasing the Christmas gift and I wound up having to find another hobby shop.

  Navigation on the website is not the easiest or the most intuitive but I manage to get where I want to go. I was never able to complete my order because the website would never properly process my payment method. I tried getting help from their helpline but I ran into the same issues. They claimed that my payment method was at fault…mmm, I used the same payment method at a competitor and had no issues what so ever. I would still like to shop 1001 hobbies but not for awhile. They have to figure this stuff out, and the excuse of there being a shortage of workers, seems sketchy. As I explained to the help desk person whom I was in contact with, the system was such a mess that I wasn’t even sure he/she was legitimate therefore I wasn’t going to risk giving them my financial information.

  My shipping cost went from 15.oo to 49.oo after adding one very small and weightless item... Their shipping prices are confusing and seem high.
