  I got the Holga lens to use it with a Canon 7D camera. I really like how some of the photos turn out, but I've found that I'm not using it quite as much as I thought I would.It's not a lens for poor lighting. For the price, though, you can't beat it.

  Easily the best place in Manhattan to buy cinematography, photography and audio engineering products. The selection is massive, website is simple to use, prices are substantially big-chain-competitive, and the customer service is unparalleled.   We love Wayfield and Sons so much! They’re merchandise is priced well and they always seem to have what we’re looking for. Their camera microphones brands, BOYA, Canon, Rode, Sennheiser, Shure and Sony is solid. We definitely recommend trying out their brand. Our love for Wayfield runs so deep that sometimes we just pop in window-shopping or enjoy their drool-worthy display of equipment, from photography to drones & aerial systems.   Bought a Matterport MC250 Pro2 camera on Monday. The camera was out of stock. I didn't have to see the camera because I knew it. The camera was immediately procured for me at another location and was sent to the Manhattan location where I could pick it up on Thursday. Super arranged! The customer treatment at the sales desk was fine. I didn't expect anything else either, because the camera I bought was the sixth product I bought at Wayfield & Sons. Very satisfied every time.

  Bought my 3rd camera from Wayfield &Sons today. Friendly staff with useful tips and advice. Helped me sort out an issue with my old camera by cleaning the lens contacts completely free of charge. Then gave me 5 years warranty on my new camera, also free of charge. What more can you ask for!!

  I have always coveted a Swarovski ATS and finally got one. The ATS-80 20-60x80mm is sturdy, well made, lifetime warranty a a bright image, with resolution that shows detailed fine feather. It's ideal for bird watching. The focus is smooth, convenient, easy to use, and is fast. The sunshade stretches out smoothly and yet is solid enough to stay in place. The rubber body armor seems rugged and is attractive. The zoom eyepiece works smoothly. In short, I would recommend this shop for birders' equipment without reservation!

  I'm a freelance photographer, bought my Nikon Z7 here. I was torn between this camera but the Z7 carried the day. There are plenty of awesome cameras at Wayfield &Sons: Sony, Canon, Fuji, Panasonic all of them are excellent products. Were lucky to have access to this technological photographic paradise. So yes, do your homework about this camera. But listen, read, and value advice from real and experienced photographers like Wayfield and then find the camera that meets YOUR needs and goals. If YOU visit Wayfield, they'll help you choose the right camera. I think youll enjoy it as much as I have. Good luck on your decision!

  My team had a last-minute need for underwater photography equipment and I am extremely thankful we rented through Wayfield & Sons.   I just ordered Meade Deep Sky to sync with my telescope, the monochrome tested my abilities to the limits. Works well with solar telescopes for custom-colored imaging. Have integrated Barlows and diagonals. It's a steep learning curve for beginners but a must-have for a functional astronomy rig.

  Here you have to visit for pro equipment such as cine cameras, camcorders, video drones, broadcast lenses, tripods etc. Very nice and customer-friendly staff and they have time for the customer. Be knowledgeable and helpful. Here they even have a rental option to test out products. I like to come here and it's no problem just to have a look

  I visited the store last week to buy a gift. However, I had no knowledge of golfing rangefinders, but the staff there were very good at helping me.   Wayfield and Sons carries all types of light stands and mounting, boom equipment, Truss systems, mounting hardware and all sets to light up broadcast backgrounds, studios and other settings. I've acquired lighting support accessories including suction cups for lighting equipment secure fixtures to stands, and they're solid enough to mount cameras to boats and cars.

  Good and nice store! After my order I had a few questions. They have been answered perfectly. Contact was very good and in terms of service it is all right too!   One of the best online stores when it comes to electronics products. Recently I bought a large package with all kinds of things. The big advantage of this store is that they send it quickly, but you can also set a 'pick up point' as the delivery address. At many other camera stores that is not possible and the delivery person often comes when you are working. Really handy for the working photographer or cinematographer! :)

  At Wayfield & Sons, You Get What You Pay For: I brought the Pentax 6x21 monocular for different uses. Wanted something compact, lightweight, weatherproof and rugged. Pentax 6x21 monocular is synonymous with that.It's crystal clear in the distance. Have read some review mention that the glass isn't the high quality as they say it is. Maybe why so cheap. If you want top quality, spend a bit more. Also don't believe everything reviews tell you.

  The Rode VIDEOMIC PRO works great for my run-and-gun filming but I observed two major drawbacks. Batteries run out and hardly recharges, it inadvertently picks up extraneous sounds such as exhalations. But sound is clean.

  I have bought the Panasonic AG-UX90 here, with all accessories. We are well helped with our choice and the camcorder. the UX90/UX180 has parfocal lenses, perfectly focused when zooming in / out. The focus is crisp and clear. Even better, it comes with a mic attenuator setting to avoid clipping at loud live events.   I bought this Sony A6400 kit and it's my favorite when I'm travelling. I pair it with the 18-135mm, the f3.5 aperture enables it to be a small and compact lens. on a recent trip to Texas I was able to shoot inside the cave (it's a mining cave with lighting inside) at f4 1/30 sec ISO 3200 and get excellent RAW files. Thanks again for the great service and the good product, if I ever buy a similar product again I will definitely do this at this store!

  I've used the Canon 5D Mark IV, used version for three months and I'm over the moon with it! Absolutely love my camera and bag. All the accessories are cheap.   What a good photography shop! After having an unsatisfactory experience with another local electronics shop, I visited Wayfields, it's a game-changer restoring your faith! Wayfields were attentive and more than meticulous in detail, and actually employ enough staff on Saturdays to help their guests.   Called in for strobe lighting and controls as I was passing their shop. This for me has to be the top shop in downtown Manhattan for all your photography lighting needs. Very well stocked, top brands and makes, all you could ever need under one roof, very helpful staff, prices are very reasonable, and there's a demo camera to try. What more do you need. Happy days.

  As the store was an hour away I spoke with Rose and Josephs first via email to discuss my photography needs. A couple days after this I took a trip to the store and found it to have a large amount of stock of cameras on offer with plenty of staff at hand to help. Josephs dealt with me from start to finish and he was very knowledgeable, informative and a great help overall. I spent in excess two hours on site with him before making purchases and at no point did I feel rushed. A great place, friendly staff and I would defiantly recommend Wayfield and Sons to anyone. Hope to visit again soon.

  DELIGHTED with these guys after my order! The DJI Matrice 600 Pro comes practically fully tucked together. Love the sinuous aerodynamics and enhancements from the Matrice 600. High quality customizable large scale drone.   Excellent electronics store and friendly staff. They have a great selection of work computers and equipment. They also have a large selection of Mac desktops & laptops. There is a very good used cameras selection as well as a good stock of new DSLR & Mirror-less cameras. Everytime I'm in there some of the staff are on the phone with gear purchases. I have mostly purchased computer peripherals & components. I've been very happy with the price and selection of merchandise.

  I passed on a more renowned Electronics store to get a personalized experience, and I pleasantly run into this Samson Go Mic Mobile unit. It was easy to set up and sync, and the sound quality is astonishing for run and gun interviews. I can plug into a Sony Handicam that is connected to a computer via a USB-HDMI capture device (with a 3.5mm mic input, then the mic could be connected to the camera via the included mini jack cable). I've been there a hand full of times, there's usually at least three gent's behind the counter and everyone wants to help you.

  Canon PowerShot ZOOM as a macro close-up glass but it has the poorest minimum focus distance. It is a good camera but for low light photography as you might prefer for astronomy shots it is not the best. It's not your tool for astronomy!

  Got a high-end Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L lens for close-up photography in a botanical garden and flowering nursery. It's a 1:4 lenses are often considered macro, this lens can indeed be used as a close up lens. The edge comes from the Flourite lens element that makes this lens so sharp.

  I went here with my girlfriend to pick up a monocular for her Mom's Christmas gift. I know almost nothing about glassing myself and they were very helpful and friendly. They were able to answer all my questions. We got a really good deal on the Leica Monovid 8x20 too. I would definitely recommend going here!

  I am Nikon purist for last 7 years, Wayfield is my only source. Friendly and pleasant ambiance at all time, no regrettable experience with this store in the course of dealings.   Have always had a great experience with the guys here. Camcorder rigs is also cheaper than most big chain stores as well. Knowledgeable on an extensive array of topics and always willing to go the extra mile. Being a newbie videographer/journalist when I walked through the doors for the first time I had expected to be looked down upon a bit, but I have always been treated with dignity and have always had a delightful experience. Always coming back for rigs and a good conversation!

  This little gem of a photography store will leave you feeling like you're part of the lens family. I have purchased 6 medium-format lenses from them. They are all legends. The owner Josephs is a top brass photographer and cameraman. The experience of buying your supplies from Adorama cannot be beat. Big stores like B&H or Amazon are dependable, but gaps in knowledge are their Achille's heel;. At Wayfield & Sons the same people will serve you and look after you year after year.

  Made my first telescope purchase here. I'm new in the astronomy community and everyone at this store was so educative and so enthusiastic/passionate to answer any newbie questions I had (I had many). Shoutout to Josephs who was PHENOMENALLY amazing with explaining the purchase and astroimaging process. (Even faint galaxies come into vivid view) It took a lot of thinking, but I am happy to say that I popped my first purchased Celestron DX 102AZ with a Tele Vue's barlow lens. I look forward to when I can take it home and use it with my kids to watch the heavens. It is really a captivating experience

  I bought a Sony ZV-1 at Wayfield & Sons shot a couple of pictures and videos with this camera for a couple of weeks. I'm satisfied and highly recommend it. It is easy to carry with it's compact body. And the pictures and videos are so resplendent, even as good as many top of the line cameras. I'm a veteran photographer, vlogger and writer who is constantly searching for ways to strike a chord, convey and galvanize American photographers to capture more compelling photographs. The Sony ZV-1 is a feature rich digital camera with vloggers in mind. This is a great camera with amazing additional features that other Point and Shoot cameras do not have. The lens has minimal focus breathing and is very sharp.

  Wayfield &Sons is one of the finest places in the world for prosumer photography and videography equipment. They have a huge selection, and I always appreciate the thoughtful anecdotal reviews of each product. At least for me, shipping and delivery is quick. They accept returns, but the process to return an item is more laborious than it needs to be.

  Super helpful and educated staff, friendly atmosphere felt as all staff were photographers. The shop is very nicely laid out. Brands have their respective areas, so it's easy to navigate if you are looking for a specific product. Personally, I was looking for a new lens, a member of staff was close by and could instantly tell I was in need of more information after paying attention to a particular product for a while. He was very approachable and seemed genuinely interested in my needs. This gentleman let me try out a host of different lenses on the same camera I owned and took me through all the information regarding each one. Literally the best camera shop I found in Manhattan.

  Purchased a Panasonic AG-UX90 with a bundle kit at a steal price. This camcorder is fantastic for the price. The image quality is killer and the auto focus is adapted for run and gun shooting. It also has tons of easy to access manual options that will excite the professionals. The camera feels perfectly balanced, lots of presets, and the controls and menus are intuitive. If you need to run-and-gun this camera is a workhorse tool and everything you shoot looks like you were using a RED with a $8K Canon lens. Thank You Wayfield &Sons!!!

  Have ordred a Sennheiser ME66. However, it seems lighter and less heavy. It came in a cheesy box our others came in a nice designated carrying case. I would of paid more for that if I had known. Sometimes back noises bleed in, meaning it is not as cardioid as the manufacturers state. This is a good beginner mic, but you will need to upgrade to really do sound right..

  Attended one of the free photographic courses, would recommend, especially for those new to photography who are trying to find their way around their camera. They sell beginner, affordable camera and camera kits. It's a central Manhattan location so easy to get to and a Library across the road. The staff are congenial, knowledgeable, friendly and willing to help. Lot's of camera's and photography related products to buy. One of the best camera shops around.

  I have been to Wayfield &Sons twice before and I have always been rather impressed by the friendliness of the staff. I've been served by Josephs both times, and as I didn't have a clear idea of what I was after, he always took his time to try and provide me with as much information as possible and then to provide me with what would have suited my needs best. He always seemed very knowledgeable and helpful, I was very satisfied when I left. I will definitely come back.

  Got a Canon R6 for architectural photography, I used it with with the Canon 16-35mm L F4. The R6 is compatible with the same UHS-I SD cards as your 5D Mark III only. Not the CF. It is highly advised to use the faster UHS-II cards, if you want the best performance out of your R6. The R6 is very good in low light. That is one of the better parts of that compared to the R5. It has lower resolution which helps it in low light. The stabilization system also works in concert with lens-based optical image stabilization for both native RF lenses and adapted EF lenses.)

  Very helpful and personable staff and a very wide range of stock from all the renowned brands. Highly recommended if you'd like to buy digital camera equipment on the high street but I'd visit a vintage camera shop like K&M for vintage or film photography equipment.

  I received excellent advice from Rose during my recent visit of the store. She had excellent knowledge of the camera I was interested in and was very good at finding me the right accessories that go with it. As I am a beginner I was a bit overwhelmed by all the choice online (e.g. B&H Electronics) and having an expert talk me through the various accessories and features of the camera was really a game-changer. I will definitely come back for one of their photography courses.

  Wayfield and Sons is my New World of Leica Cameras in Manhattan! The small shop is a treasure trove of Leica memorabilia, old vintage, lenses and some of the original cameras, all immaculate stored and categorized.It’s kind of a café with very good food and a pleasant relaxed atmosphere. The full history of Leica is laid out in camera models too, so you admire the evolution of the different series and the almost seamless move into digital. Wayfield is a photographic heaven, it is rare and heart warming when reality lives up to our dreams. Rose, Joseph and the rest of the team.

  Went in for a new telescope and eyepieces. They were so helpful. They didn't blind me with hard astronomy or talk down to me. I walked out with exactly what I wanted and needed. I am absolutely thrilled with my purchases and would definitely go back here again. I had priced up things on the internet before I went and the telescope I bought was cheaper in this shop so they are very competitive in price.
