  Holga Fisheye Lens 120 Wayfield & Sons had the best price I found for the plastic fisheye. I've never used the glass one and am yet to develop pictures from it but it definitely works. It doesn't fit as snugly over the lens as I might like, but hey, it's a Holga not a Canon. I've even held it over my digital's lens for the same affect with moderate success.

  Finally a great and modern solution to underwater pictures This SeaLife SportDiver Pro housing met and exceeded all my expectations. Underwater cameras tend to be very expensive for not much quality. Also it used to mean either paying a couple of thousand dollars for a camera specific case or several hundred for yet another camera to be out dated. Housing was very easy to use, especially moving between still pictures and video. Would definitely recommend this company and product.

  After a few days of having money taken from my PayPal wallet I hadn't heard anything more, and they weren't answering the phone so I sent an enquiry email asking for details about stock levels and turn around times or a refund, otherwise I'd have to raise a charge back from my a/c. They did respond to this with a claim that the items were being shipped that day. They weren't shipped for two more days, with a constant extension of shipping estimates due to FedEx logistical issues with the COVID 19 pandemic. I'd simply appreciate accurate and honest answers and timeframes instead of avoiding contact and inaccurate information. UPDATE: it did arrive within the specified timeframe. Clearer communication would have been appreciated.

  AMAZING CAMERA & Great company to work with I purchased this Canon SX70 HS camera for a back up of the one I already had. It goes way beyond my expectations. I have used several canon bridge cameras but this one is the best. Higher pixels and sharper pics. Easy to handle and a good price for a camera can that can do so much. I wasted my time trying to order this from Wal Mart and that was a big mistake. Wayfield & Sons sent me emails when the camera would come it and I could order it then. Amazon will not do that. Wayfield & Sons shipped it right away and I received it very quickly.

  Can’t fault the service or quality of the product. My Canon 5D Mark III took 5 working days and was all US specification, including US plug and instructions. No problem registering the camera with Canon, USA Warranty. Would have no hesitation in buying further equipment from WAYFIELD & SONs.

  Patronizing, rude, and over-priced The last time I had dealings with this shop was indeed the last time, as I never intend to visit them again. They would like us to believe they are a high-end and exclusive specialist. However, that would be all well and good if they had the manners to go with their image. The last person I spoke with was surly and rude. This is NOT the behavior you'd expect from a competent sales person.

  Excellent Service, Prices and Delivery I have now placed 2 orders with Wayfield & Sons and have been delighted with the whole experience. The prices were excellent for goods which were unavailable at my local dealer. Queries were replied to by Rose Goodman, almost by return.   Excellent service, competitive prices. After doing some pricing up of a few camera websites, I came upon Wayfield. Who I can only assume could give me the best deal on a new Nikon fc mirrorless due in part due to them being an exclusively Nikon dealer. The ordering info said I should receive my package in 2-3 days, but it was in my hands by mid afternoon the next day! Fantastic service and the cheapest I found for what I was after. Highly recommended!

  Brought a Sony A7 III and will never shop anywhere else Was searching the internet to purchase a Sony A7 III and the standard RRP was around $1,993 I came across Wayfield & Sons and they were selling it for $1,990 I couldn't believe it (it gets better). After looking at reviews they're a trusted site with perfect 5 stars. EVERYTHING is included in that price, I didn't have to pay for any shipping or taxes. I will be shopping here from now on.

  A unique shop, they stock almost every Nikon item About two decades ago I bought a used 400mm f/3.5 lens from them, it was pristine. More recently I’ve bought new accessories and a new Nikon ED 600 f/5.6 AIS lens. On several occasions I’ve struggled to find an item only to discover that WAYFIELD & SONs stock the item, and the price is reasonable. I am sure they have the biggest range of Nikon items in stock in New York. Do visit the shop if you get the chance, it’s unique!

  Brilliant after sales support, great to deal with My new Nikon Z7 II developed a fault a few days after delivery. I suspected it was something I did whilst setting it up. After sales made a few suggestions of things to try as did some of my peers in the photography industry sadly none corrected the fault. I contacted WAYFIELD & SONs again and was sent a returns sheet and a replacement camera arrived a few days later. No quibbles, no fuss, no charges and great communication throughout. I highly recommend WAYFIELD &SONs to anybody wanting photography equipment. The experience has been better than any high-street company I have ever dealt with. 10stars plus from me if it were possible.

  I bought my Canon EOS R6 with 24-105mm f/4-7.1 lens from Wayfield & Sons, a couple of weeks ago. Up to that time I had been using my Canon ELPH 180- so knew nothing about the workings of a camera. I have been back twice & each time have been treated with respect, patience & kindness. Canon at times is amazing, but harder to understand as you get older.   Buying experience was pleasant how ever i was upset with the delivery. I ordered my camera on Thursday at 5:30 pm and it was delivered on Monday where as per their website all order before Thursday 8pm will be delivered next day and or after 8PM on Thursday will be delivered on Monday, in that case mine was before 8pm. I had to take a day leave to stay home for the order to be arrived. Not happy with the delivery delay.

  Problems with product. GOPRO Hero 8 Black purchased but unable to charge it. Retuned to shop who didn't have a replacement in stock. As i wanted it immediately I upgraded to silver, had to pay the difference but was given a small discount. Silver wouldn't accept SD card so returned again. Again nothing to replace with. Shop refunded me with no quibble. Overall wasn't impressed with GOPRO but Wayfield & Sons staff were fine. Disappointed that they don't seem to carry much stock (couldn't provide replacements for either GOPRO).

  Armed with little knowledge but with a list of requirements I arrived at the shop in Midtown Manhattan not knowing what to expect. What I found was knowledgeable staff able to relate my requirements to the right product in a friendly and professional manner.   I really enjoy shopping with Wayfield and Sons. Good range, good information, good support and great buying options, including zero % which is always welcome. The trick is to have an account which pays a little interest and use that to pay off the loan - so it slightly reduces the cost in the long run and the money is still in your account if you suddenly need it - everyone wins.

  Excellent service & so pleased! So good! I phoned ahead to ask if I could test a particular Sony camera with my own Sigma lenses, and they made the entire process very easy. Josephs (photography depart) helped me find & order all the kit, convertors & extra bits I needed to make the switch, did a hassle-free assessment of my trade in gear (which was the best quote I'd received for it), and I went in two days later to collect everything. Massive thanks!

  Fast shipping, excellent customer service. Purchased a Moment 67mm CineBloom filter for my BMPCC 6K on a Saturday (September 4 2021) and quickly then received it the following Friday (September 10). I was surprised how quick it arrived because I'm located in New York. I contacted them a couple weeks after I received the package because FedEx hit me with a $15 customs fee. I contacted Wayfield and Sons about this and they refunded the full amount the same day. I wasn't paid to leave this review but I would definitely recommend this shop for anyone's Wayfield and Sons needs.

  New & used cameras and camera equipment, the biggest selection of used film cameras in Central New York. They also have all the usual 35mm and medium-format films for sale, black & white, color and slide. The freezer isn't filled very regularly so it's not 100% certain that they have the film type you need in stock. Friendly and professional service!

  Good things must be known. I ordered a new Hasselblad H System lens on a Monday. I was so surprised to received the same week on Friday. I'm living in Manhattan, in a big city. I don't know if it would be different in another area. The parcel was well protected : genuine package of the supplier, and thick bubbles sheets. My 3yrs warranty contract was also inside the parcel. The lens itself is brand new. Everything looks good.

  Very nice compact, travel cameras and easy check-out process. This shop really needs a seperate department for cine and camcorders. The noise in this place at times can be unbearable, ever with ear protection.

  We recently moved to New York. This was our first experience at a New York camera shop. My brother in law has a good knowledge of landscape photography and guided us. We were welcomed immediately as we arrived. All the staff were friendly and offered advice. We had a really fun day testing various types of lenses/accessories.

  It's only really a small independent photography shop for the Manhattan shopper but I'm giving it 5 stars because they've managed to open a local branch in a decent location. Also the staff were friendly, knew their stuff, and diagnose or repair cameras instantly. Hope this one sticks around.

  They have a decent selection of Ronin/drone accessories but unfortunately they never have DJI Follow Focus kits. I realize there is a supply shortage but we call a couple of times a weeks and they never have any in stock.

  Not great if you want to trade in rangefinder lenses. Price is barely 40% market rates at maximum. The process of shipment is another hurdle as they may use FedEx and you've to keep patient as a saint. You have to bend over, calling, or no fresh information on tracking your item. You'll have a better time if you want to buy used Canon or DSLRs that are fairly priced for professionals or beginners without breaking the bank.

  Ordered a Leica SL2-S on 8/29/2021 Wow! What response. Ordered a Leica SL2-S and 24-70mm f/2.8 lens (US option) on 8/29/2021 and received it in Scottsdale, AZ on 9/1/2021. Order was packaged properly for this expensive equipment, was informed of the shipping status, and I even had some daylight to try it out. It was everything I was expecting now if I can live up to the capabilities of the camera I'll be in high cotton.

  Absolutely love this place. A hidden gem amongst the streets of New York, and a real must visit for any photography enthusiast. Whilst the shop is free to visit, you should also take time to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee, or a bite to eat. Plenty of nostalgic things to see, read and learn. And a wide range of perfect novelty gifts for birthday and Christmas presents. 5-STARS!

  I'm a Minolta MC/MC and Leica R enthusiast, I love purchase on Wayfield & Sons site. The Nikon D6 DSLR package deal is perfect, as quality of product and additional accessories were perfectly what I was expecting. Even after couple of research I have found that the extra Nikon EN-EL18c battery which comes with this deal is awesome as compared to other brands. also, to mentioned class 3 memory card is really good with fast access. Overall, perfect product for sports and wildlife photography!
