I found the coverage on this colour to be lacking, it was chalky and then when there was two coats it was indigo more than it was blue. Maybe it was the room I put it in but its not the colour for us

After being so thoroughly impressed with the quality of the paint from Tint, I was beyond excited to have reached the most satisfying stage in any painting project: removing the painter's tape. What I was not expecting was to have the most frustrating and time consuming experience due to using what I now know is a very low quality product. The tape kept ripping as I was trying to remove it. Every 5-10 cms, it would suddenly rip down the centre or rip down the side, often leaving little tape fibres that were finicky to remove. I thought this might be user error, however, I waited a few days to tape over the already painted surfaces, as well as ensured the last coat was dry to the touch after several hours. The tape also left residue on the ceiling. The ceiling hadn't been freshly painted, nor had the tape been stuck on the ceiling that long (~ 3 days). At first, I thought it might be user error, however on reflection, I've never had this experience before using the standard blue painters tape you get from the big chain hardware stores. I also contemplated it being a bad batch, however, I had used one and a half rolls (there was a lot of trim!) and didn't experience a clean peel for any portion of the project. The remaining half roll of tape has gone in the bin. What should have been a relaxing 5-10 minute job took me upwards of an hour.

The ceiling white has a very strong smell, not what we were expecting based on reviews saying there is little or no smell. We specifically chose a low VOC paint as a healthier choice, but the smell is still very bad two weeks later. Just a bit disappointed thinking we would have a paint that didn't smell much. To be honest it seems worse than mainstream paint brands.

While the paint itself was good to use and covered well, the smell unfortunately was very strong. Maybe this is how all acrylic paints are, VOC free or not. But the reviews I read indicated little or no smell, so it's a little confusing. Two weeks later the smell is still pretty bad and we can't use the bedroom.

Excellent product

I had high hopes for Tint and bought a couple different colours. Unfortunately they weren't quite the match. I had matched a Dulux colour and the colours just weren't the same. Which is of course what both Tint and Dulux say. So I shouldn't have gambled. The paint has a very earthy smell which lingered for a few days - but much nicer than regular paint. I'd love to say yes to Tint - maybe in the future when I'm not trying to colour match.

If is an interesting idea, but not sensitive enough in practice to separate out similar colours. So it won't help you recreate the same colour etc. Also it doesn't give you the details of the components of the colour it has scanned. So you can't take it to your local paint store to buy what you want. It only works for the tint company

This loosens with every roll :( Better off buying a cheaper one from Bunnings

I got this swatch to see if it would work in our house. It didn't :-(. Lovely colour though.
