First table arrived with damage and was refused. Modloft quickly shipped another table and it arrived in great condition. Wood looked just like the sample that we received prior to ordering.

I could not find any other chairs that came close to the distinctive design of the Sloane chair, so I purchased 6 in black/teak for my new home. My order noted a ship date for the end of October which meant I would have the chairs in time for Thanksgiving. In reality, the chairs did not ship until mid-November and I was given a delivery date after Thanksgiving. Thankfully, my dealer was able to get delivery expedited to the 22nd. However, only 5 chairs were delivered. The delivery guys attempted to track it down, but it was after hours at the warehouse where the chairs were loaded onto the trucks. After many communications with Modloft and the shipper, the 6th chair was delivered the first week in December (Modloft offered a $100 credit for the inconvenience which went to the dealer.) The weekend after Thanksgiving I noticed that the leather in a small area on the side of one of the chair backs was rippled. To cause tightly stretched leather to ripple this way most likely resulted from a blow during shipping as the chairs had only been used only once (by adults at a Friendsgiving - I live alone). Unfortunately for me, we had been so preoccupied with the missing chair that I did not inspect the chairs thoroughly. Modloft denied the claim since it had not been noted at delivery but 10 days later. To add insult to injury, I discovered that the same chair had one leg that was shorter than the others causing it to rock a bit from not being level. Modloft's suggestion: use a felt pad on that leg. What the? The black tip on the chair legs are rounded so a felt pad will not adhere to it. You spend over $5,000 on a beautiful, elegant dining table and chairs and this is the solution they offer. Love the chairs, not the response to customer issues.

Excellent quality. The piece did have a small defect but modloft offered a discount and I accepted. The console is really nice. I am going to add an led strip in the back to take it over the top !
