The first piece that arrived was defective. Modloft took sometime but delivered a new bench and it was good in shape. Liked the color, design, style, look, and material. Will definitely recommend others.

We got the black frame cal king version (pics with olive velvet comforter). First one was not delivered due to damage, so took 3 months total to arrive. Delivery guys were awesome and took all the big packaging with them. Packaging was impressive so not sure how the other one got damaged. I had to put it together by myself which I would not recommend (44 yo F, 5'6, 140#). While construction of this is high quality and very heavy solid wood, the assembly is strange. There's a frame with legs and then a separate frame that holds the slats. They have to be constructed separately and then the slat frame has to be lifted onto the leg frame. I did it with sheer determination. On the bottom of the slat frame are four steel plates that then get bolted to the leg frame with one bolt each. Not a single one directly lined up. I had to muscle them in by squeezing and pushing on the frame. The last one, I had to unbolt the plate from the bottom and shimmy it to fit the bolt in, but couldn't replace one of the bottom bolts (but there are 4 there, so no big deal). The headboard then has to float next to the frame and is bolted from the inside of the frame to the inside of the headboard. I used a step stool to hold it in place (HEAVY) while I got a few bolts in. It was an 8 hour biz-atch. However, I love the result. I'm just preparing you. I would do it again, with a friend available though.

Sofa looks great in our family room. It's elegant and brings a warm look
