I have kept my good kitchen knives in a drawer for years because I have never found a knife holder that I have liked till this one- it is solidly built and beautifully constructed- I can fit 10 knives! I would give this 10 stars if I could .

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend and he really liked the way it looks. We haven't used it yet so I can't speak to the functionality but I think the grooves will come in handy to catch any liquids and the angle will make it easier to scrape things off the board. A lot lighter than the pictures which doesn't match the aesthetic I was going for to match his kitchen. That's why I gave it 4 stars. The fine print says it could be walnut or ebonized white oak which may have contributed to the variation in color.

I love the dark wood and how compact it is in my tiny kitchen- it’s just a little smaller than I was expecting which is why 4 stars and not 5 but holds my main knives including the cleaver
