The chef knife is the star of this set! It feels so nice in hand, cuts with precision, and allows for an easy rocking way of cutting. The magnet in the display box that holds the knives is such a delightful touch! The other items are good and expected, save the metal spoon whose ability to measure 1/4 cup accurately adds an unexpected useful touch. The only downsides are the height of the main container; it lives on my counter under the cupboards and it's a bit too tall (or they hang just a bit too low) to make pulling a utensil up and out easy. Of course, the knives slide out easily. The box is beautiful and looks stunning!

I truly and in love with my fundamentals set. It's helped me transformed my kitchen to a much more eloquent space. I basically only use this set now and have stored all my other cooking utensils away!

Can’t say enough how much I love having kitchen utensils that make me so happy to work with. Every time I grab a spoon, knife, tongs, or spatula from Material Kitchen I feel a little bit of delight. They are just nice. They just feel nice. They are nice to use. What a delightful little addition to my life.
