I gifted my father and brother Material knives this Christmas and they were equally inspired by the sleek aesthetic and functional design. My dad immediately placed the trio set on the accompanying magnetic block, and said out loud "Time for a change" while looking at his trusty Chinese meat cleaver. I knew that was a sign that he liked his new knives. My heart smiled inside.

I'm so pleased with the multi-purpose cutting board from Material, but I will say my only negative is wishing that it were slightly larger. It's perfect in nearly every way, but I would absolutely pay more for this quality in a larger version. Fingers crossed that this item will get such a great response that you'll be able to expand with a larger size option too!!!

The fundamentals set seems well made, the knives cut well, and the tools look good. The only small issue is the magnets in the stand do not hold the knives as well as I would like. It is also fairly tight with all three knives stored together.
