These are the prettiest functional tools I own. For Christmas I bought two pick-your-own three pack tools and a set of the chef's and paring knife. I /use/ my kitchen tools - anything that doesn't perform goes straight to the donate pool. We cooked a beef burgundy using the wooden spoon and the slotted spoon as our primary tools - not only were they exactly the tools we'd been looking for from shape to sizing, but they just worked naturally. The knives I got for my family since we cook over there occasionally. Last year I bought them a knife and they are always using it - it's the good knife. So this year I got them a paring knife and a second chef's knife so we aren't always fighting over who gets to use what. I put my sister in charge of cutting up strawberries for waffles, thinking she'd just do a few and walk away - she diced up every strawberry in the box, because it was so fun and easy! I will say this - like every single wooden spoon I have ever owned, this wooden spoon will also wear down at the scraping edge as soon as you put it under heavy use. I bought walnut, and a lighter wood color may not show the use marks as clearly as the darker woods. Overall, for the look, feel, and functionality I would buy from Material again in a heartbeat.

I purchased the the Trio knife set, And must say I’m am very impressed. I have use each knife for multi purpose cutting and each blade has not disappointed. Whether carving my first pork roast and the leftover homemade cubano’s. Each knife did the trick.. the stand is so simple and clean, holding the three. My only complaint is that I have just created a kitchen draw of knives I will probably never use again!!!

I was very pleased with the spatula, metal spoon, and wood spoon I received. These utensils are beautiful and of durable construction.
