I order the stand over 2 months ago and I cannot get a response back from custom service. I currently already fully paid for a product that I have not received which was supposed to ship within 1-2 weeks of order date. It is now over 8 weeks. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

I hate these oh so much and after 4 years of owning them they're finally going to Goodwill. The problem with the locking mechanism is that when using them, you have to constantly squeeze them against the pressure of the spring to grip food. For any activity longer than a minute or two, this is supremely uncomfortable. My boyfriend and I would trade off when things needed to be flipped frequently in the pan, because it was so unpleasant. I have two Material knives that I love and use all the time. The tongs are pretty but the design is a nightmare for anyone doing a lot of flipping in their cooking.

Product arrived 7 weeks after it was ordered despite it saying it was only to be delayed 2-4 weeks. Even before it arrived I tried to contact them to cancel the order but no response was received. Besides that, it has a textured surface so it is harder to cut leaves and other thin foods all the way through on it than a standard cutting board. It is also lower on the edges than on the textured part so liquid runs off it rather easily. I sent several messages to customer service about this and another purchase that arrived damaged but before this one. I have had zero responses back but have gotten many emails concerning new products they have. Both products came so late that they can no longer be used as gifts, they are not well made enough for me to want them, and the customer service is so bad it seems they don't want them back either.

Besides that, it has a textured surface so it is harder to cut leaves and other thin foods all the way through on it than a standard cutting board. It is also lower on the edges than on the textured part so liquid runs off it rather easily. the color on these were darker than I liked. It was hard to tell from the photos on the website what the true color of the bowls were. Ended up returning these as well sadly even though I liked the shape and size.

The boards themselves are fine although smaller than ideal for larger cooking projects. The shipping and packaging was, however, unconscionable for a supposedly eco-friendly product. I ordered three boards. They came in two shipments. Each board was set in a fancy cardboard form which was inside a cardboard product presentation box. These boxes were in a regular cardboard box which included bubble wrap and plastic air cushions. It was enough packaging to protect fine china much less hard plastic boards. In light of this, I won't be ordering again or recommending material products.
